Ghost return with a fantastic album fitting for the rise of the Antichrist. The band has experimented more, adding choirs and a more liberal use of the keyboard. Standout tracks are Infestissumam/Per Aspera Ad Inferi, Secular Haze, Ghuleh/Zombie Queen, Year Zero, and Monstrance Clock.

Sorry, I am firmly on the hype wagon for this release. Ghuleh/Zombie Queen may be one of the best songs of the past 30 years. Ghost went full on 'Pet Sounds' with this release and it is STELLAR.

This is a very good record. It has a different vibe than Opus Eponymous which is a good thing. Ghost continue to push their unique yet some what gimmicky retro style of 70s psychedelic rock on their Sophomore outing Infestissumam except this time they focus more on upbeat almost beach boys like melodies and less on Merciful Fate esque riffs. This works great and almost makes the fact that over the top of these happy sounding keyboard/guitar lines Papa Emertus places some truly well done satanic lyrics all the more twisted. Also when they do unleash the riffs and guitar licks it is with epic results such as in the latter of Year Zero and Per Aspera Ad Inferi. Best Songs: Ghuleh/Zombie Queen, Year Zero, Monstrance Clock.

Nothing exceptional or groundbreaking, but Infestissumam is no doubt a very fun album full of satanic sing-a-longs that will get stuck in your head for days.

Ghost leaves his metal sound behind and focuses on more melodic retro approach. Heavy guitars are almost gone giving space to 70's keyboards and clean parts. Definitely an interesting change although it's hard to tell if it was for better or worse.

Well-performed and produced retro satanic metal record with modern twists. The last two tracks are the album's weakest, but everything else is very good. I really dig the raw snare sound. Infestissumam is a catchy, fun listen and can be considered mostly successful.

The album is pretty awesome, front to back. I watched them tour this album as well, and I was amazed by their performance. Basically, Ghost B.C. is a very cool band that appeals to anyone interested in horror or great music.

Seriously underrated band I discovered these amazing musicians on Youtube while watching Opeth videos so i decided to check them out.
Let's start off with Ghost b.c's 2013 release Infestisumam the album starts off like the last album Opus Eponymus with a synth filled chant (even though the last album just had the synths) for a few seconds then when you least expect it the band kicks in with sheer ferocity.
The second track Per aspera ad inferi which translates "hardships through hell" the track leads of from the title track with an heavy guitar intro the bass is very audible throughout drum simplistic yet awesome altogether and Papa Emeritus's vocals are overall amazing by far my favorite track on the record
The third track Secular haze is that one song that really just blew me away the song starts off with very creepy "carnival music" style organs then the rest of the band joins the fray the drums again very simplistic yet awesome throughout 4.5
The fourth track Jiggolo Her Migiddo is my other favorite track on this album the chorus of this song is very catchy

The fifth track Ghuleh/Zombie queen the only song on this entire album I couldn't get into it does however get better towards the end 3.0
The sixth track Year Zero is the high point of the album with the awesome chant in the begging and the small solo towards the end
The seventh track Idoltarine is another one of the songs on here i couldn't get into i pretty much couldn't get into the rest of the album but i digress this is deffinetly Ghosts' best work

After one listen, I really dig the album as a whole. Might even consider moving it up to 4.5. Opening two songs are incredible, as are Secular Haze, Zombie Queen, and Monstrance Clock. Every song seems to have at least a section in it that kicks major ass, though a couple have choruses that rub me the wrong way.

I loved Opus Eponymous......but it came off as a bit tacky at times. Looking past the themes and gimmicks associated with Ghost, Infestissumam is a legit hard rock album. Nothing out there sounds like this.

Album leaks and Sput's userbase goes wild. Sure enough Ghost's second release is a steady beast but it just like the Archille's heel, it doesn't have the same impact as the debut. Tracks like Secular Haze, Year Zero (the album's singles) are standouts but the band did everything they needed to on the first release. Make no mistake, the album will Satan your socks off, but it will tickle your feet as it does so.
