Brave, yet very rewarding experiment. In this album, the Greek duo managed to present a very atmosphere-centric release, richly spiced with numerous elements. The braver vocal approach (far-far more diverse than on a regular Rotting Christ album), often accompanied by choirs and opera-like singing was very impactful on the album, often pushing it towards a quite liturgical direction - at least that's how I felt. The daring mindset is clearly observable on the instrumental factors as well. For example horror sample-alike, ambient and classical sections can be heard in most of the songs, and the guitarwork definitely falls into the experimental side of the genre too. It's very proggy, and perhaps bits of industrial elements can be heard blended into their signature blackened-gothic sytle.
Not an easily digestable record, but for those who enjoy such unorthodox black metal albums it'll be a gourmet snack for their ears.
