| 2.0 poor | bruddog | December 2nd 06 | NRG tried to go with a more mature sound but failed miserably as they end with a completely sappy, mellow, and for the most part lifeless album with no real memoarable tunes.
The only 2 songs that cuaght my attention at all were "connected" and "hold my hands" due to the cool
sounding guitar riffs.
The punk is basically completely gone from their sound on this album which is a bad thing. This a BIG departure from any of thier last 3 albums of which thier first was the best.

| 4.0 excellent | FamousAtticus | October 26th 20 | NFG fans either hated or loved this record when it was released. There didn't seem to be a middle
ground. I personally loved it. I was getting older and not relating with the standard pop punk
recipe of growing up sucks, parents don't understand me, etc. which bands like Good Charlotte and
Simple Plan were still spewing at the time. This record dealt with more mature content, which was
a welcome sight/sound. Kind of reminded me (personally) when Blink 182 released their self titled
album and how much it resonated with me. For those reasons, I place this record near the top of
NFG's catalog.
My favorite tracks off the record (in no order): Make Your Move, Oxygen, On My Mind, Boulders,
Familiar Landscapes and Connected.

| 5.0 classic | LostLikeTearsInRain | June 22nd 09 | The NFG album I hold in highest regard with it's matured songwriting and musicianship. I really love the classic rock vibe going on here, as well as still containing their catchy and upbeat elements in certain tracks ("Hold My Hand". "Coming Home"). But it's the more serious and slowed down numbers I cherish on this album ("Make Your Move", "Too Good To Be", "When I Die", "Boulders") NFG will always be the kings of straight up pop-punk anthems, but this proved they could do more than just write catchy, three chord songs.

| 3.5 great | Greenblink | March 25th 07 | With this album, it seemed that NFG wanted to try something different. It really didn't work. After several great albums, they throw this at us fans. All of the songs sound alike, just crappy pop ballads. There are a few standouts (When I die, It's not your fault, and Coming Home, come to mind) but really this is not such a great album for NFG. Still fans will find something to like about it, but nothing overly special.

| 3.5 great | hoppus155 | November 30th 06 | this album was definitly what fans were waiting for, something more serious and not like their old pop punk styled albums. this album didnt get as much credit as i thought it should have gotten. the best album i think theyve put out if not that then its the best they ever wrote.

| 4.0 excellent | Stormy Smiley Face | October 14th 06 | "Coming Home" is not the best album from New Found Glory. In fact, it could and should have been a whole lot better. Yet, this is still an enjoyable album for it's simplicity mostly. Chad Gilbert's vocal stylings aren't that distinct, but still catchy. The rythm guitar playing is cool and bouncy a lot, and the use of keyboards on songs like "It's Not Your Fault" add a nifty extra touch. The worst spot for the album though is it's dismal lyrics. Pick any random song and it's a virtual guarantee that it won't impress in the slightest. Still, "Coming Home" has quite a few songs that are just really easy and fun to listen to. New Found Glory isn't evolving like they should and may have taken a step back, but the end result is good anyway.

| 2.0 poor | TBarker1202 | October 14th 06 | New Found Glory seemed to jump on the whole Green Day "Growing Up" bandwagon with their new album Coming Home. The band got away from the sound on their previous album, which brought them sucess, and tried to do a new mature sound. Personally I found this a failure, and the fact that they even changed their look, wearing only preppy clothes to go with this new "I'm all grown up look" To me none of the songs on this album had the usual NFG sound, style or attitude. I personally found this album to be poor, and wouldn't recommend purchasing it.

| 3.0 good | chrismcc518 | September 19th 06 | i liked it and i respect the more mature nature of this record. but i hate to say that its not as good as all the other nfg albums its not heavy at all. it reminded me of angels and airwaves. i know alot of people hated jordans whiney voice but in my opinion there is none at all and i really started to miss it. like many other pop punk bands who got married and have kids and now write very serious mellow not as fun and upbeat songs. i hate say it and as much as it bothers me to say this new found glory is added to that list
