Often overlooked Sodom’s M-16 delivers more than you can imagine. Here is one example where simplicity can be devastating. With time you will notice that some of the songs carry similarities that are recognizable in other songs, especially the riffs and pace. But who cares when you have catchy, fast and heavy riff work, pounding bass and rumbling drums that makes all songs to standouts. And we can’t forget to mention Angelripper’s cruel, raspy and torn vocal style.
M-16 is an energetic and heavy thrash album that metalheads must have in their collection, it is nothing like the American thrash music or any thrash at all. Tracks like Lead Injection, Among The Wierdcong, I Am The War and Minejumper are just a few of all amazing songs from this heavy hitting concept album. It might not be a thrash metal classic but it will memorable leave scars ones you have give it a listen (and liked it afterwards).

Code Red was great and all, but who actually thought they would make another masterpiece on level with Persecution Mania and Agent Orange? Then there's M-16. The riffs are not only vicious, but the songs stand out from each other, resulting in their most varied effort since Agent Orange, and this is all encompassing a risky, dark theme: The Vietnam War. Arguably the best thrash album from the 2000's, M-16 is so good that it ranks with the some of the greatest gems of the 80's.

Sodom on top of their game, this is a riff fest from start to finish with nothing bad that can be said bad about it. such a solid return to form and their strongest collection of songs probably to date.

Enough epicness, originality, rawness, purity, darkness and lots and lots more combined rtogether with great yet quite simplistic music and a bit black metal like vocals, and near rperfect consistency, this album is only what it's supposed to be: fantastic. With M-16 Sodom delivers you an atmospheric, but still very original, load of thrash that is ressential for all thrash fanatics. It takes some time to grow, and doesn't impress with technical awesomeness, but when listening to this, it isn't even needed. 4.5/5

Thrashy guitar riffs, driving bass, pounding drums, and aggressive vocals? M-16 really is a classic thrash metal album. From start to finish the album is aggressive and always manages to keep your interest. The vocals are a definite highlight on the album, seeing as they re the driving force behind the music. At points the riffs seem a little recycled,but the nostalgic feeling will pass. The drumming is well done, and the double bass is used sparingly, and only to accent patterns and fills. The bass can be heard throughout, and creates a nice wall of sound along with drums. Pick up M-16 is you like thrash...hell, pick it up if you like metal.
