Tapping The Vein is not Sodom's best album, but it's still one of the most overlooked Sodom-albums that deserved more fame than it actually got. It's very heavy, it got some killer riffs and drumming too. The vocals given to us by Angelripper could have been better, but still, they're quite good. Dark and extreme, just like they usually are. rIt may be the darkest Sodom album and could possibly be called a black metal album. The main stand outs are "Body Parts", "Skined Alive" and the brutally heavy title track. Other songs that are worth listening to are "Bullet in the Head" and "Hunting Season". Buy this if you can find, it may not be their best but it's worth having.

Sodom's heaviest, best produced and overall just plain best album. The death metal element and the massiveness of the production really brought out the militaristic vicousness of their sound that no other album before or after has managed to be able to capture. To be honest they all sound rather tame in comparison.

Sodom's heaviest album and their best testament to death metal/thrash metal, Tapping The Vein is packed with vicious riffs, aggressive vocals, fast tempos, and just about anything you love from both genres. One of their best efforts.

Sodom's ''Tapping The Vein'' is one mean thrash album. Sodom has never been so extremely fast or extreme in their music until they released this album. The machine-gun shredding guitars, booming drums and growled/screamed vocals create total mayhem in the listener's ears. Tapping The Vein is an almost flawless thrash album, while still not as great like ''Persecution Mania'' or ''M-16'' this album actually stands out from Sodom's work. A must-have if you are into Sodom's music while thrashers should at least look into it.
