Aesthetically, this can be considered as a masterpiece. However, musically, this is incredibly basic sampling, which bogs down some of the credit it deserves.

A good nostalgia album that got bad advertising and then it escalated quickly. Keep calm, it's just a chill record that happens to be important for people who want live times they never experienced. For example, it makes me want to drive in 80s' California at 6PM, when the sun slowly sets, and then go into an In-N-Out and watch commercials. Second track might be the best vaporwave track, along with the fourth one.

Choppy, amateur, slo-mo forgery of antiquated schmaltz as general song source questionable in validity and quality. But what it may sometimes lack in cohesion and originality is constantly made up for in feel and atmosphere -- it takes the truly magical mid-section that takes a break from croonin' repeatos and redefines aural bliss for me to really fall for it, but getting wooed by warped+ghostly love-man idols and the intertwinement of familiarity with unabashed electro-fog are certainly a fine way to get there. Warped wooing highlight saved for near last: antiquated schmaltz personal fave "I Only Have Eyes For You". Fireworks and melting magnificence included.

The soundscapes presented are both dark and haunting, with a superficial cheery 80s nostalgic coverup. I wouldn't think so highly of this album without a certain experience in the quite aura of the city with an hotel where everyone was asleep and the only noise in the universe was "Lisa Frank 420" off of a mono phone speaker. The melody is so immersive that songs from my youth that spark serious nostalgia can't paint the picture of where I first heard them as well as this.
