in a time when the punk scene is mostly poser emo/screamo/whatever bands that care more about making a quick buck than actually saying something, The Casualties are one of the few bands who keep the spirit of what punk/HC once was alive. they represent everything that punk/HC used to be; aggressive, in your face, middle finger raised against the rest of the world. they represent a time when the punk/HC scene was about unity, about kids who were different coming together to celebrate what made them that way and venting their anger through their music. with superfast, blast beats, guttural vox, and angry politcal lyrics, The Casualties are one of the best old-school punk bands around today, hands down, and their newest album, "Under Attack" is proof. its got some of the best genre songs to come along in a long time (especially "Social Outcast" and the title track); definatly an important album for punk/HC.
