The good people of pageninetynine and the screamo bands of the surrounding area are some of the best musicians and songwriters in the genre, and it's EP's like 2001's Document #7 that prove this. And while it is officially an EP, Document #7 feels and flows like a full-length record. The short emoviolence bursts of songs like "Del Mundo Lleno De Rocio" and "Love Goes Tisk...Tisk...Tisk..." are good enough, but it's the bookends of the record with their sludgy goodness that really make the album. The closer has some of the best vocals Chris Taylor ever performed, and the mixture of sludgy hardcore and screamo explosions make for a truly fantastic experience. Though the middle song of the record is a bit of a dud, the record is mostly an excellent representation of the great things that pageninetynine could do.
