The Principle of Evil Made Flesh is a very solid debut album, with some of the most iconic CoF songs. Here is possible to identify the clear Black Metal influences, with some Gothic sparks, which add to the general atmosphere of the album. They keyboards are probably the most remarkable aspect of this record for me, thouh the riffs don't fell short too. This is an excellent record, but not Cradle's best for my taste.

This album is absolutely amazing! Not many bands can pull off a fantastic debut album, but 'Cradle of Filth' certainly can. As simple as the intro ["Darkness Our Bride (Jugular Wedding)"] may be, I see it as one of the band's best intros.
Favourite tracks from this album include: "The Principle of Evil Made Flesh", "The Black Goddess Rises", "To Eve the Art of Witchcraft" and "Summer Dying Fast".
