After a slow start, "Flesh of My Flesh..." kicks into action as DMX follows up the best ideas of his debut album with sophisticated RnB beats.

Swizz Beatz had a big part in chucking this record to the garbage bin, but this album just sealed its own fate the fact that DMX is all voice, no skill. His gruff tone was mixed with an array of merely decent productions on his debut, but on this album, other than the occasional highlight, Swizz Beatz shitty keyboard 'orchestrations' completely take this record off the roads of quality and take it to shit island. Chunky flowing, insipid rhyming, horrible beats, Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood is one of the most overrated rap records ever, and is just another shit-tacular album from an artist who has never proven himself any good without his gruff delivery or a legion of decent producers.
