A very solid prog album with folky vibes. Great compositions, and nice tranistions/flow between extreme metal, heavier sections and mellow folky stuff.

I usually hate anything that even slightly reminds me of Great Big Sea. This is like a progressive folk black metal version of that band, but in a good way. ( this comparison is weak & unfair to Wilderun ) The album starts off predictably enough but grows on you like a barnacle.

An interesting new metal-folk band with occasional riffs that sound like Wintersun, vocals that
sound like Roy Khan from Kamelot but not as technically perfect. There are even occasional death
style vocals that are reserved for certain moments. The music is playful and enjoyable without
being really cheesy. If anything there are some boring parts which draw down the score but the
music is executed with sometimes, virtuosity, where you may hear the guitaristry effortlessly
running through a complicated guitar line. I highly recommend any fan of folk-metal to give this a
try. You may either really enjoy this or hate it. You decide.
