4.0 excellent | Arche | December 28th 15 | The bookends of Yume Miru Uchuu highlight perfectly what makes Buck-Tick's 18th LP such a fantastic listen. Opener 'Elise no Tame ni' makes a statement with a boisterous, infectious hook right off the bat and an equally catchy chorus, while 'Yume Miru Uchuu' at the other end of the album utilises their innate capacity to sound huge to absolutely breathtaking effect. What these two highlight (and indeed the rest of the album) is how Buck-Tick refuse to make the same song twice on Yume Miru Uchuu, yet nearly every one is an absolute joy to listen to, through being fun, beautiful, or even a little bit pervy (see Climax Together). Wonderful.

4.5 superb | Jared Floryan | February 2nd 16 | With strength beyond strength and an innate ability to sound as fresh as possible, legendary visual kei rock quintet Buck-Tick are one of those Japanese music groups who will never leave - and I honestly see no reason as to why they should once the future arrives. The act's 18th full-length album Yume Miru Uchuu proves very challenging to quibble about, especially if the serious steadiness of the material is taken into account. Its unforgettable charm knows no bounds and the contributions by BT's members rarely (if ever) go to waste, and this record's songwriting tends to boast a less-is-more approach that's super effective. Listeners won't have a hard time finding something they like about the offering, that is for certain. In this case in particular, longevity = maturation.
