A debut album that sounds like what a veteran band would do at their peak. Even though not the most impressive in terms of technique and flamboyance, Mark Knopfler is my absolute favorite when it comes to composing and executing satisfying, tasty guitar melodies (and no one delivers lyrics as he does). Definitely my go-to album when I want simple, back-to-basics rock. Best songs : Wild West End, Sultans of Swing, Lions.

"He knows all the chords" *follows those lyrics up by strumming only 3 chords* smh. Cookin'
jams, driven by expert guitar and bass work, rock solid drumming, and interesting vocal work.
