This album doesn't really stand out from the post-hardcore soup as it were, but still manages to deal with rsubjects that will connect with people in their latter teen years, which will lead to it being popular. It has very rstandard, generic, but catchy song structure/ lyrics. The major problem for me is the lyrics, even though rAhren is a great singer most of the lyrics he sings are rather cheesy, for lack of a better word, and become rboring after a few listens.

Emotional and heartfelt. For a band I found out about from Tumblr, it's pretty great. (I'll probably change my opinion when I'm out of this band's target audience, however.

They have a great sound, listen to this album if you like that sound because there is a lot of it. The Amity Affliction's fatal flaw on this album is that all the songs really sound the same. That's what pushed me to purchase only a few songs off iTunes rather than whole album.

Great album. Pretty surprised they're not very popular. Pretty much like hardcore blink-182 with better lyrics. rrThe bonus track Too Legit To Quit, cover of Born To Die, is best song on the album. So if you haven't heard rthat song, check it out.rEdit: Apparently Too Legit To Quit is now called Born To Die btw.

It's the amity affliction being the amity affliction. The existing fans will no doubt adore it, but if you're not a fan you probably won't like this.

Like other people have already mentioned, this album has its stupendous moments where the passion they put into making this record bleeds through. But there are many other moments, particularly towards the end of the album, that are just bland and forgettable. rAlso of note is the increasing amount of breakdowns. While they were prevalent before, they stick out more on this album and are utilized to a much higher degree. rOverall, a great concept with a bit of lack in the execution department.

It is really annoying how over produced Ahren is because the dude can sing. And yea, I am only on the 4th track but it does sound insanely similar to Youngbloods. Which isn't that bad, since it's arguably my favorite album.

Album is pretty good. Ahren's vocals although overproduced still in my opinion put to shame a lot of other clean vocalists in this genre. Lyrics have an extremely personal meaning to the screamer Joel Birch. Guitar has no real special moments and the drummer is really talented listen for them in the title track. Solid album.
