Surprisingly listenable. Not a fan of Power Metal, and had heard tons of garbo about Sabaton, but finally decided to give them a go. Their stuff is nothing special, basically just history based macho-trad-metal.

I found this to be one of the most emphatic power metal debuts I have heard: straightforward with powerful riffing, melodic vocals and descriptive lyrics; all wrapped up a combination of various tempos. In my opinion is the best album for someone to be introduced to Sabaton. If you find the self-titled track too mainstream, go for "Wolfpack", "Panzer Battalion" and "Purple Heart"

Sabaton's style of Power Metal heavily themed with lyrics about war takes a little bit of getting used to for the new listener such as myself. Once I did, I found plenty of catchy riffs, choruses, and bits of singing. The songs on the album were very consistent in their quality, and I really couldn't name a BAD track. If you're into Power Metal, I would highly recommend checking this out.
