Will always be one of my favorite albums of all time. The amount of atmosphere and
different arrangements in this is insane. Every track is as epic as the last.

Opeth worship? This is epic film-score/classical music mixed with progressive black metal,
not acoustic folk mixed with prog/psychedelic rock and death metal. Either way, this still
hasn't grown old a year later. My album of '11 (over Lantlos, Uneven Structure etc) - a
personal 5, but I don't think this will have the public 'impact' a 5 needs (ie, no-ones
heard of it). Which is a terrible shame.

For cinematic symphoblack, this is ultimately quite uneventful despite all the flourishes it's throwing at you.

a bloated, uneventful, meandering mess of opeth worship and annoying keyboard interludes. it's okay for a couple of tracks but after that you're just begging for it to end. the sounds here are well down, it just needs to be stripped down and be done with better riffs and ideas.
