| 3.5 great | hillbillyag | May 30th 26 | This is their best album since reconstituting themselves with a slightly altered lineup. It does not approach the highs of their first two albums but shows that Lewis can still write decent songs with an ear for melody and riffs. The Appeal is his most personal song and represents a very honest side of Toadies that they had not shown before. Rattler's Revival and Summer of the Strange are both twisted sounding songs with their trademark wailing guitar sound. We Burned the City Down is the best pure rocker on the album.
