Montgomery's cover of A Day in the Life is really something special, and there's another good track or two here, but for the most part this is schmaltz and proto-musak. Whoever compiled this LP apparently didn't think it was worth it to include more than a single, y'know, original jazz song, let alone more than a single, y'know, Montgomery-composed song.
