Why the word goth isn't useful: bands like The Cure and Death in June are tacked with the "goth" label for being downbeat, theatrical, literary, obsessed with tragic romance, etc. Christian Death were called goth because they said SPOOKY words like blood and satan backwards (sdrawkcab!!!) in a sexually ambiguous lisp. Good riffs though.

A delightfully dark and deprived piece of art that feels like a soundtrack to someone's fucked up nightmare. Rozz's vocals are addictive, seductive and at the same time filled with hopelessness and despair. The production is lo-fi goodness. One of my favorites.

one of the best post-punk LP's ever made. Rick Agnew does some amazing guitar work on this LP, and Roz is at his (unfortunate) best! The subsequent 2 LP's were solid, but this LP reigns as king in their (spotty) catalog.
