For some fucking reason I've listened to this. And I dunno, it wasn't as god-awful as I expected. But yeah, I don't plan on returning to this.

Unfinished Music No1 is undoubtedly an abomination crafted by The Beatles' John Lennon and Yoko Oh No; what type of condescending crap was this? I'm not sure if these two crazy lovebirds knew. The recording process is akin to a cocoon which is unable to reveal the monarch butterfly due to the strange atonal effects surrounding it. All of the racket going on in this 'album' keeps the insect-esque dome from showing its inner beauty, and the rest is history.

The "music" to this record is about as naked as the album cover. It's completely and utterly pointless. No real rhythm or melody here, just the sounds of life you could say. Poor idea and not executed any better in the slightest. Some could say it's artistic and bold, but I say it's 33 minutes of rubbish.

It's kinda hard to rate this album. I mean, the only reason it got produced in the first place is because anything Lennon and Ono touched in the late 60's was gold. Right, so what does it sound like? A bunch of pretentious contemporary bullshit with occasional actual music. I want to give this a 1 but I think it's worth a bump because there are some good ideas here even if they're poorly executed. Plus, they recorded this during the first night they had sex with each other. So that's pretty cool I guess....even though it's still a bunch of nonsensical bullshit.
