Reggatta De Blanc is one of The Police`s finest albums that combined cutting edge punk with reggae music, wonderfully, in the way they did on its predessor debut Outlandos D`Amour. Message In A Bottle, Bring On The Night, Walking On The Moon and The Bed`s Too Big Without You are huge winners. But, we cannot miss out tracks like the semi-instrumental Reggatta De Blanc, It`s Alright For You, Deathwish, On Any Other Day (entirely written and sung by Stewart Copeland). Indeed, it is the only Police song where you can hear Stewart singing), Contact, Does Everyone Stare and No Time This Time. Every single track make this album worth listening.

BOTTOM LINE: Reggatta De Blanc is an almost perfect piece of work that many Police fans love and that music critics and "experts" tend to underrate.

~Sending out an SOS~ The album is mostly super catchy, and the bass is incredibly good, tbh: one of the greatests I've ever heard. The second half of the album lacks some spark, shame... but alltogether this is a great and light album, relaxing background music for working and so on.

The Police are here mixing Pop, Rock, Reggae and some kind of gentle punk. Sometimes it works, and it gives some awesome piece of music that everybody knows ('Message In A Bottle' and especially the fantastic 'Walking On The Moon'), and sometimes it unfortunately doesn't really work. Drums are a little bit simple (but it can be efficient), and Sting's voice is doing well.

Great stuff - the lesser known tracks are worthwhile if you don't know them (you won't find Contact or Deathwish on compilations), but of course, Bring On The Night, Walking On The Moon, the title track and Message are all awesome.
