 | OmairSh I mean the album is good, but I wasn't blown away by it. They didn't experiment with their sound much. They could have gone funkier and expanded on the groovier elements on the album. I'm hoping it's not another trilogy and they push their sound forward. We'll find out in 2 or more years I guess

| OmairSh Why would you be afraid of a hat though? :-P. I think it's the band's weakest album, and I'm worried that they're starting to decline a little since ADHD. I know they definitely have the capability to release great albums (they're certainly far from Dream Theater's level of hopelessness), but I think their focus on being "mature" means the music is lacking spark.

| OmairSh Haha, don't know when/if they ever return to the ADHD sound. I have a feeling the album will be more groove oriented, which is something I do not mind at all. Though the drumming will be lacking I think, Piotr doesn't bring the groove too well unfortunately. Lets see. One month to go now

| OmairSh Ah okay, I actually enjoyed it. I liked the groove on it and especially the guitar work. It's not mindblowing, but I think it's enjoyable. Still not keeping my expectations very high as I don't want to be disappointed

| OmairSh If you didn't enjoy those two songs then don't bother with the album. The older Symphony X albums were very good and refreshing. This one is just tiring. More importantly what did you think of Riverside's single?

| OmairSh I still have to get on that. Lots of the albums on the playlist. Of course your recent tracks are by Riverside :-D. New album coming out this year dude!!! They're abandoning hard rock elements it seems. Still should be pretty interesting. Hopefully more than the new Lunatic Soul album, that wasn't too special. Leprous is also releasing an album this year!!!!! CANNOT WAIT!!!

| OmairSh Lucky you, I wish I could enjoy DS more :/. The atmosphere is good but it's a bit too safe. Also most of the electronic effects are just okay, unlike the beautiful ones on The Storm before the calm.

| OmairSh Dude it's so weird for me to see that rating from a fan. I know the band has great albums before their latest 2, but for me its a whole new level now, the musicianship, production, songwriting. In my head its Pre-WHBWH era and post-WHBWH era.

| OmairSh ADHD is calling me again, have to jam, can't resist. Very few albums still sound almost as good as when i initially climaxed on the, ADHD is one of those albums. I can't understand how people don't like it, it doesn't register in my mind

| OmairSh You know you can't resist Anathema. Daniel Gildenlow is ridiculously good at mixing raw metal with soothing melodies, but some of his ideas are a bit too wacky for me to take seriously

Yeah a new POS album would be great, I don't think I'd want them to completely revert to their old sound, I respect POS because its a band that actually progresses, so I'm interested in the new direction. And I expect the same from Riverside, but a mix of ADHD and OOM would definitely be an awesomeness overload

| OmairSh Yeah its so powerful and emotive, I loved it from the beginning, and easy 4. The production could have been better but whatever. I love the vocal lines in all of the songs. I haven't listened to Hindsight properly but I think it might be a 3.5. It has some interesting instrumentation.

| OmairSh What? I don't have a youtube channel... yeah I heard the new FW (I shared the news article :P). Yeah its generic but its alright, I didn't expect FW to release a revolutionary album after a 9 year hiatus, but I expect it to be a 3.5 atleast, unlike what I expect from DT. Yeah I expected a lot more from OSI but there albums aren't higher than 3.5 for me.

| I LOVE his growls, they're very good. And Bilateral definitely needs a lot more listens than TPS to digest. Coal has some refreshing elements, maybe you need to give it more time :D, but yeah it isn't as good as TPS and Bilateral for sure. Anyway your link isn't working dude resend.

| OmairSh Tall Poppy Syndrome might be a better place to start for Leprous. Their latest album Coal is probably the easiest to get into though. So its up to you, but definitely go through their discog, worth it for sure

| OmairSh WS is great agreed, it's not doing much different but it has so much passion and emotion that it scores highly in my book. Hoping the next album is a step forward and more daring. I used to listen to various Anathema songs but never took the band seriously until I heard WHBWH and WS properly. Then I went through most of their catalogue and now I highly respect them.

| OmairSh Yeah that melody is great, and the tones are as well. Also the "main" lead guitar melody is absolutely brilliant, especially at 2:06 and 4:39, and the hammond organ in the back, oh my GOD! Haha, I see you don't fancy We're here because we're here, I think it's a brilliant album, it took a long time to grow on me thouhg, it was a 2.5 in the beginning. Thin Air was the first song I heard from the album and I enjoyed it quite a bit.
