 | Orb I think u might dig this one. Came out on Division Recordings not long ago http://www.sputnikmusic.com/review/74546/Signs-Skin-Out/
 | Orb Saw that DB1 you just rated on R.A. today too, im quite intruiged to hear it.
 | Orb Yeah man thats definitely a recent find on my part. Absolutely mind blowing.
 | Orb Nice to see the DnB appreciation around here. Sup sup
 | lou1000 Yeah I just started using it. Well done for 5ing Black Secret Technology, we're the only two haha
 | lou1000 Are you on rym? https://rateyourmusic.com/~lou1000
 | Yotimi Thanks man. Literally took years to compile so I appreciate it!
 | Phlegm the one i got off slsk is 320 i believe, and sounds pretty damn good -- can't wait to pick it up on wax
 | lou1000 Have you found a 320 version of the new Objekt yet?? I'm looking all over..
 | Phlegm someone (you) should totally review the new Objekt, the way he manipulates sound is astonishing
 | Hyperion1001 oh no, its totally cool bro, i just wanted to let you know why it wasnt there. its really my own fault for doing it under the same username lol, which has changed now (i share under the name nofour now if you still want to grab stuff, i share my whole library). its nbd at all, i just wanted to let you know so you werent like "wtf wheres my comment?"
 | Hyperion1001 so hey just wanted to let you know that i got rid of your comment on my review just because its not very professional to have a staffing reviewer sharing music on the internet like that. not that im going to stop, but id rather not advertise it on the review page.hope you dig the album though :)
 | Brostep I've been pretty behind on DnB this year, but that said Metalheadz - Platinum Breakz 4 obviously rules. Royalston - OCD is pretty killer too and Fred V
 | SanguineCream Hey Elo! if you're there. You heard Underworld's "Thing In A Book" ? Found it looking into their back catalogue recently (it's on the outstanding Dark
 | SanguineCream Holy s***, this SMD has already been added to my 'Funktapussafy' mix tonight... 'I Believe' has some real smooth production, and your description of it being wet and sharp is, well...spot on. And (speaking of awesome production) also transitioned perfectly after what i was just listening to lol: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xuge8rttvAU Loving that album! Black Grape, 80's Depeche Mode, Ken Ishii and Gorillaz among others :)
 | mandan "Policy of Truth" is currently my fave on Violator.
 | Brostep yeah, WOTW 1 is really good. I liked WOTW 2 a fair bit more than Dev (to quote him: "the biggest pile of ass I've heard all year") but check out 1 first, some absolute tunes on there. If you're gonna listen to Rockwell listen to DJ Friendly Unit Shifter and Tripwire first
 | Hyperion1001 thanks man i hope ill live up to standards. really appreciate it.
 | Brostep Yeah, especially the super dancefloor-oriented stuff like Critical Music and some Shogun (esp. Rockwell). Some commercial is pretty good (I have a soft spot for Fred V
 | Brostep Oh, liquid isn't as much my thing, but I forget that the classic Hospital guys were part of that whole movement. The Krakota track (I think it's Spin the Bottle) is amazing though. The Logistics track you linked me is quite nice too
 | Brostep Thanks a bunch! And judging by your most recent rating I take it the new Hospital comp is actually pretty good? Wasn't expecting it to be that good since there are a bunch of super-cheese artists on it but I'll give it a go soon.
 | Acanthus I find them to a be a bit more fluid, leaving some of the breaks feeling behind and opting for a more progressive blend that's really smooth and definitely their own sound/style. I listened to Wide Angle last and tbh was a bit disappointed in parts after hearing all the praise that's laid on it.
 | Acanthus Have you checked out Hybrid's Morning Scifi or I Choose Noise yet? I enjoy Wide Angle but think they are much better represented on these other records, both in terms of flow and development.
 | mindleviticus UNB wants more money man that's what it's like everywhere
 | mindleviticus Sup bro good luck on that hybrid album it's a classic. My school's going on strike :(
 | SanguineCream http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJlHSFwYEPs You heard that one, Elo ?
 | Negator yo thanks man I was looking all over for this album!! Gonna add this as one of my christmas presents lol
 | Mike08 Its been a bitch finding ASC- Astral Traveler. Do you have a download link? PLLEASE
 | MisterTornado im gonna start calling myself MonsieurTornade from now on (in my head)
 | StrangerofSorts ended up listing it - no ambient to speak of but it should do www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?mode=1
 | DrMaximus Here's some ambient, man: Akira Yamaoka - Silent Hill 2, Carbon Based Lifeforms - World Of Sleepers, Deathprod - Morals and Dogma, Global Communication - 76:14, Grouper - Dragging A Dead Deer Up A Hill, Klaus Shulze - Irrlicht, Shrine - Somnia, Tim Hecker - Harmony In Ultraviolet
 | GiaNXGX why i love electronica? ElectronicA? youtube.com/watch?v=5sj4oV4NU14
 | Deviant. I'll rustle up some more recs for you in a minute
 | Deviant. Well seeing as you're currently digging Teebee, here's his label's latest comp: http://www.discogs.com/Various-Sine-Language/release/4915568
 | someguest Hey Eloriaz! Have you dove into Cowboy Bebop?
 | YaelPol Hey!You're not the only OMD fan on this :pI have been a fan since I was six years old (thanks dad) and Universal was the cd he always had on in the car. And my favorite song of all time, Too Late, is on it, so yeah, you should give Universal a listen. But all the other OMD stuff is cool too! I had the change to meet Paul of OMD, such a nice guy!
 | HolidayKirk I have epic reviews of their albums coming up. Stay tuned....
 | mindleviticus Man you're at McGill?? I'm at UNB in New Brunswick!
 | bloc Ah, glad you like them! Yes sir, Crossroads is equally epic and perhaps the most accessible out of the 3 imo. RETRO is a bit of an oddball though, since the band was inspired by old video game systems there's a bunch of vintage sounding bleeps and bloops on top of their sound which makes the entire album hit or miss I guess. And don't forget to check out THYX, the lead singers solo project.
 | mindleviticus DUDE!! Thank you so much for the 4 dollars I wasn't expecting anybody to pay for some of it but holy crap man wow thanks!
 | mindleviticus OH! Haha I've only actually listened to Block Rockin' Beats by those guys, to be honest. Haha. I'll get the album it's from and tell you what I thought of it tomorrow. :D And good luck man! Listened to Orbus Terrarum yet? That's my favorite album by The Orb.
 | mindleviticus second toughest is my fav underworld so how about that one? :] also nice Beefcake profile picture (?)
 | bloc Oh for sure, I think we've crossed paths already a couple of times but it's nice to make things official ;)
 | bloc Ah cool, I'm from Toronto! Nice to see another Canadian.
 | bloc Awesome, looking forward to it and I have no doubt the show will be unforgettable. That's the Montreal show, right? You from there or travelling from somewhere else?
 | bloc Ah good to hear you already have your foot in the door, happy listening : ) Unfortunately for that DM show, it was a choice between seeing them or Queens of the Stone Age also in September (both in my top 3 favourite bands) and since DM was more than $100 I went with QOTSA sadly...I'm assuming you're on your way?
 | bloc Anytime, my man. mind.in.a.box is my personal favourite btw, they definitely have their own signature sound. Lots of progressive vibes to it. But VNV Nation and Assemblage 23 REALLY define the futurepop sound.
 | bloc Angels and Agony - Unison, Apoptygma Berzerk - Welcome To Earth, Assemblage 23 - any album, Cesium_137 - any album, Chrom - Synthetic Movement, Covenant - Modern Ruin, Informatik - Nymphomatik, Mesh - We Collide, mind.in.a.box - any album, Neuroticfish - any album, Solitary Experiments - Mind Over Matter, VNV Nation - Matter Form
 | bloc I'd say the differences between EBM and futurepop is that futurepop has more of a trance kind of vibe in the sense that there is usually a repeating arpeggio line that sort of acts like the "main riff" of the song. Plus most tracks behave like a typical song, with a verse, chorus, bridge, etc. Now onto the recs:
 | Typhoner haha, you're acting so much like me when I was starting to explore electronic music a year ago ;-). Cool to see your enthousiasm!
 | SanguineCream Come back now, if you like. I was about to jam some old school rave. I've been playing chill for hours and it was feeling tired lol
 | SanguineCream You just joined coincidentally as i was ending my cast. lol And then my connection failed
 | SanguineCream Yeah Tobin's dam good..from what I've heard on GS so far. I'll check out those albums you've recommended, cheers. And to answer your last question: When you sign on you'll see on the right of the page your list of followers there
 | SanguineCream I'm on every night/afternoon, just about lolSo if you're in Canada, perhaps the time zone make it inconvenient.. But on the weekends in the daytime (PM your time) i'm broadcasting
 | SanguineCream You need to tune into one of my casts some time! Suggest me some Amon Tobin, because honestly, I'm not all that familiar with his music..
 | SanguineCream That's a big stereotype man ;) We have some of the world's deadliest snakes, but that's all out in the country/outback
 | SanguineCream Awesome. Good timing, I just started broadcasting then. Here's the link: http://grooveshark.com/#!/sanguinecream/broadcast
 | SanguineCream I always thought Pearl's Girl was like the bigger, better cousin of "Born Slippy"..amazingly the latter was the one that was their most commercially successful track. And no, my username on GS is E.S. Bennett. If you look for it in the search bar in 'People' it might show, i dunno. In which case i'll just send you a link to my broadcast and you can follow me there. ;)
 | SanguineCream Oh, and you need to come and tune into my GS broadcasts some time! When I play electronica i generally play old djs - (which none of my followers listen to lol) - whilst discovering new artists. But i could totally use your cognizance, per say
 | SanguineCream Hey man, i see you've been listen to "Infants." My FAVORITE Underworld album
 | someguest What's up new wave pal? New Order - Bizarre Love Triangle (The Crystal Method Extended Mix) is the best song ever.
 | SanguineCream And if you're a member you can broadcast your own live sets and invite people to tune in.
 | SanguineCream Lol, for real. Nice. Yeah, their database is massive. No limit on electronica at all, obscure, new or old
 | SanguineCream Music streaming, live broadcasts (e.g. air your own stations), community etcSign up's all free. And quality audio files. Just from one music lover to another ;P I find it's a good site to preview albums, while using less bandwidth than youtube for example
 | peaks40 not francophone mon ami lol. I do speak french though
 | SanguineCream Check out my new list when you can. Figure there's some stuff on there you'd like
 | SanguineCream Yeah his 1996 Lp "Above The Clouds" is excellent. Surprisingly he wasn't on sput so i uploaded all of his releases today. Unfortunately the mods haven't accepted my edit and it's still listed under Wink and not Josh Wink. So if you search for it comes up with some Japanese girl group
 | Voivod I love your avatar man, I had this stamped at a t-shirt back in the day and "Dig Your Own Hole" is very good stuff.
 | Deviant. I just view them as techno tbh. They're a part of the group of artists who dabbled in acid and breakbeat as well, so that's definitely in there. But yeah, kind of old school techno is how I see them
