  • EasterInTheBatcave Mr. Bungle's original is phenomenal - one of the best songs off California (which was itself one of the best albums of the 90s). This cover is an enormous misfire; it completely mishandles the dynamism and pace of the original, transforming Dunn's meticulously crafted tune into a juvenile, tasteless alt rocker. I appreciate the attempt, but this is horrendous.?

  • Britch2tiger Greetings fellow account! I noticed how you have a high percentage of jazz under your profile. From an account w/ a tuned ear, what are some qualities that differ "good" jazz as opposed to "bad" jazz? Any help would be appreciated. Have a glorious evening!

  • CalculatingInfinity With the stuff you've rated I'm really suprised you haven't rated Sleepytime Gorilla Museum. Checked them out?

  • SachikoM I guess it's because I listen to stuff nobody likes (noise, onkyo) and don't listen to the stuff everyone DOES enjoy (namely metal, as metalheads make up most of the site). Honestly, I've almost given up trying to get people into the music I enjoy, because they nearly always dismiss my suggestions and make fun of it. Oh well, it makes me kinda unique then, I guess. :)
    November 23 09:02 PM
  • SachikoM well, my taste in music is considered unequivocally abysmal around here. i listen to a lot of noise (esp. power electronics), electroacoustic music and in more recent times, pop and hip-hop. i do dabble in other genres, but i'm not so knowledgeable with 'em. tbh, anyone with an open mind when it comes to music is enough to make me happy. if you do feel like checking some CT, i'd recommend One Too Many Salty Swift and Not Goodbye. It's free jazz, so i think you'll like it. :)
    November 22 08:15 AM
  • SachikoM You have very good taste for a new user. I think i'll grow to like you. Have you tried any Cecil Taylor? :3
