 | Pennywise_M Yeah, same! Wen't absent for quite a long time, like one year. Now that my band's new EP is out, I've been jamming harder and coming back for some discussing with the guys. Glad i am tbh, sputnik always feels like home. Glad you're around too. We used to go at it defending Trivium in their threads haha. Glad to find you well. Pop up whenever man!
 | demigod! losing my n64 games is one of my biggest regrets man : ( still have a few but majora, conker, dk64 and both banjo games are gone forever... and i think they're on the xbone too, yeah. not sure if all the old xbla stuff's there but it's worth a look
 | demigod! that blows! i actually lost most of my n64 games a while back, luckily my friend gave me his copy though. but hey, if you've got an xbox, kazooie and tooie are both downloadable there in glorious HD, so ya
 | demigod! you have the best avatar man. playing through banjo-tooie right now and oh man it's even better than i remember. so good
 | Apollo Not as far as I know but I'm always hopeful!
 | zaruyache I'm finishing book 2 and book 3 is in the mail. I think some bits (the whole 'omg computer gods from the future) are cheesy, but the dynamic storytelling is fantastic.
 | Hyperion1001 ive been a sci-fi fan for ages so ive read a lot of stuff, and honestly it isnt one of my favorites. it was good enough i just prefer my sci-fi to be more intellectual and/or philosophical. it was too "pulpy" for my tastes. i bet if i had read it when i was a lot younger i would have liked it more.
 | Hyperion1001 haha ive been asked that question so many times (this has been my username on the internet since i was old enough to have my own computer). i actually read the book because so many people asked me about my username, i originally did it because of one of saturns moons lol
 | Mythodea Yeah, dude, definitely. No worries.
 | tempest-- http://www.soundwavetouring.com/artists/mastodon-baroness-gojira/
 | Hawks Eh decent enough I guess. Just working and normal bulls*** haha.
 | Hawks Heard of them, but never listened. I'll have to get on it haha. But yeah, I've been around a decent amount the past couple weeks. I've just been really busy. How have you been bud?
 | adr sure, gonna check em. first will listen Empyrium - Weiland tho, are u familiar with the band/album to give an opinion? They are folk/black aswell.
 | SadAndHolyGlow It's all good. I personally just love the abrasion and talent that went into it. Also, and this doesn't make it good on its own, but it really did revolutionize metalcore, and that is awesome to me.
 | tempest-- not really tbh when I get shirts they're usually straight from the band or online. sorry!
 | Keyblade Yeah dude I know, I couldn't believe it omg. Great album
 | Decay Dude, u like fit for an autopsy?
 | SIMBOLIC in a bit dude im flat out with music atm
 | Solaire Ah, hello! You don't look elitist, far from it!I am Solaire of Astora, an adherent of the Lord of Sunlight. Now that I am bored, I have come to this great land, the birthplace of Skele, to seek my very own recs!? Do you find that strange? Well, you should! No need to hide your reaction. I get that look all the time! Hah hah hah!
 | scottyrobotty I saw you liked the Entropia - Vesper album. Just thought I'd let you know there is a Kickstarter up for the vinyl version. Thanks for checking it out! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2119343023/entropias-stunning-debut-album-lets-put-it-on-viny/
 | Mall No worries, their new album is out soon so I might review that actually
 | Mall Yo dude how's the Fit For An Autopsy review coming on?
 | Hawks Sweet, I'm gonna have to check it hard.
 | Hawks I feel you on that one. And no I haven't. Had no idea they had an album out this year. Gonna have to jam it hard.
 | Hawks Where you been dude? I feel like I haven't seen you around here in a few weeks.
 | SIMBOLIC i think plug was ****in up dude i wasnt getting anything from you b4 :(
 | CK That would have been awesome. I miss the concepts of their earlier stuff. In a car ride one time my friend and I were trying to decide what to listen to, and I suggested Opeth's Still Life. I told him it was a relaxing melodic album and had a love story behind it. Boy was he pissed at me after that
 | BigPleb Jam on my own for a bit man :]
 | CK Agreed. While Still Life is my favorite of theirs, you can't compare MAYH to anything they've done. It's just so dark and, like you said, ghostly, it's whole different kind of experience you can't get hearing anything else
 | CK Finally found what you were talking about on the Opeth album cover, and yeah... that's mad creepy. Kinda looks like Death is just staring over his shoulder at you. Here's an even BETTER image: http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/9843/myarms.jpg
 | BigPleb Sweet man, Stranger in a Strange Land you will enjoy HARD m/
 | SIMBOLIC id jam dude but im only on my lunch break and the internet here is ****ed
 | SIMBOLIC lol i was gonna but there is no way i could keep it objective
 | bach Another day, another septim
 | pribosse hey bro here is some music you may enjoy: http://necrodogg.bandcamp.com/album/spontaneous-combustion
 | InbredJed that's only right, too bad I couldn't get Hearts Alive to ya, as that is probably the best song they've ever done.
 | InbredJed what do you think of Leviathan so far?
 | InbredJed Enjoy, I'll send the rest after work
 | Mall Apparently it needs to be approved by the mods, nothing's wrong so it's all cool
 | Mall Ah, nice one I'll keep a look out! I will in the next couple of hours most likely, jut a couple of things I gotta change first
 | Mall My reviews all done man, how's yours coming along?
 | Underflow I remember liking The White instantly, and Ashes only took a couple spins to earn a 4.
 | Underflow Yeah, I'm spinning it now to give it another try.
 | Underflow Eh, I don't know. Compared to Ashes and The White it feels...I don't know how to explain it properly. With a controversial opinion I should be able to back it up, but the words to express it aren't coming lol.
 | Underflow Lol apparently I'm weird for not liking The Mantle as much as their other albums, huh?
 | Pon Pretty good, dunno if I dig the synths though, sound almost power metal-ish.
 | tempest-- dam wait till you get around to the obscure bands then you won't find anything
 | tempest-- Ah, you gotta check out Human and ITP too. Do you know what Google is bro?
 | Hawks Sweet, thanks a lot bud.
 | Hawks I actually haven't heard it yet, can't find a working link. You have one?
 | Hawks What's your fav dm album from this year that you think I haven't heard yet?
 | Pon http://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?listid=126385Here's that DM list I was telling you about, hope you think it's useful.
 | Pon lol, people are taking the piss out of it but I guess they don't get what I was trying to say. It's basically a tongue-in-cheek obvious statement because there's pretty much nothing to be said other than.. well, it's an Amon Amarth album.
 | Pon Thanks, I'm surprised by how much people like that review, and then of course, there's my summary.
 | tempest-- check it http://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=603187
 | conesmoke fair enough man, enjoy them hypocrisy albums m/
 | conesmoke oh dude, gotta give nightside eclipse a listen. Phenomenal album.
 | Keyblade wow sounds great dude thanks. will be keeping an eye out for this.
 | Apollo YES DUDE! It's definitely one of those shows you end up watching like 18 hours in a day straight. If I didn't have a job I could sit and watch it all day haha
 | check my new list I made an album and its better than Beethoven
 | SIMBOLIC Yeh monash but that is a pretty isolated event and two deaths doesn't count as a massacre but fair cop
 | CrimsonLies Sure thing man, friend request sent.By the way, listened to that Moonsorrow album twice as well as Dissection and dam they both rule, at least a 4.5 for both and yes Moonsorrow really did ****ing blow me away, gunna rate them now m/
 | CrimsonLies Ahaha, I get the same types of people and it really drives me crazy. I hate seeing those pictures where this stereotypical "normal" girl is asking this other "scene" girl "do you like one direction? :D" and then the scene "alt" girl says "Bitch please, I listen to BVB" and all these kiddies think that's some hardcore s*** right there, ahaha makes me laugh every time.
 | CrimsonLies Haha, Good ol' Disturbed, I remember rocking to that when I was something like 14... Times have changed yet I still find people who listened to sucky music before me, still listening to it now. A moment of silence for those who never left the premature stage, ahaha. Wow man, I know of so many people who have never heard of Death yet claim their metalheads, geez I really don't get that... Hell yeah that's bulls***, I don't think those kinds of people are aware of how limited their taste really is
 | CrimsonLies It's like all they listen to is metalcore and post-hardcore yet they choose the worst bands within that genre. I saw some kid on fb comment on a Poison The Well video and he said "not bad but this has been done so many times, not as good as The Devil Wears Prada" Jeez the looks I get whenever I mention something like Converge, Botch, or Poison the well and they just look at me funny. Not that I really care that they don't listen to them, it's the fact that they're so uneducated
 | CrimsonLies Alright when I give your music a listen I'll start with that then. ;) Same but it longer than a month for me lol I remember posting on on my facebook "Asking Alexandria, best band ever" **** that's embarrassing, I have no idea what I was thinking at the time. And that's a good thing too, you're better off no listening to them, ahaha. Yeah I know what you mean, when someone says they listen to metal and DM but all they have in their playlist is mainstream metalcore/post-hardcore haha
 | CrimsonLies Okay so I downloaded the discog for Moonsorrow, as well as Vinterland, Dissection and The Morningside albums you rec'd so hope that shows I'm interested, ahaha. I just may take awhile to around to listening to but it's on my ipod now so I can't miss it everytime, ahaha
 | CrimsonLies Ahaha, well I used to listen to Attack Attack!/Asking Alexandria/Alesana etc all that terrible s*** and I used to believe it was pretty obscure, ahaha well times have changed and I'd beat up that younger version of me if he was still hanging around hahaha. Ahh I know what you mean, especially guys around me, not many people will take the time to listen to something different if you can't get into it straight away, haha oh well their loss I suppose
 | CrimsonLies That's true, music has definitely helped me through a lot of things and sometimes it can be very personal. Some of the music I listened to that helped me through I admit was terrible but I still have a soft spot for it. I think it may be different now though, since it really did used to be generic crap to speak, haha. But that's like it for me as well, music is apart of who I am and it's always a great feeling to share something that special with someone, unless of course they hate it, ahaha.
 | CrimsonLies Ah looks like we found out which one is more Australian, ahaha. That would be pretty cool, if I had a grandad that listened to decent metal, I'd think it would be awesome. But who knows, maybe one day I'll think all my music is just tasteless crap, lol
 | CrimsonLies Ahahaha, I do the same thing when it comes to the word H how it's pronounced "aach" and not "haaaach" and when they add an e into words like flown and say "flowen" or "growen" lol. Oh, only 6 months older than me. I thought you were going to tell me you were 35 or something but that wouldn't be a problem, 35 and rocking on to metal is awesome haha. m/
 | CrimsonLies Mine is sort of like that as well though, I sound more English from what the majority of people say but sometimes I say something that sounds a bit Australian like I say "tank" a bit funny sometimes, dam my Australian friends, haha. Oh I see, so how old are you? I'm 19 so I've been in Australia for 17 years.
 | CrimsonLies Wow that's quite freaky, the same happened to me. I was born in England and been living in Australia since I was 2, although I apparently sound English probably because I'm influenced by my parents. Well that's something to consider, it would be great to have the freedom to work and live anywhere in Europe.
 | CrimsonLies Yeah you definitely should man, I love travelling but it's really inconvenient living this side of the world imo and I definitely want to go to Sweden one day, I'm quite lucky to be entitled to live anywhere in Europe since I have a British passport. Sweden has such a great education, internet and tons of other things from what I've heard
 | CrimsonLies Yeah that happens to me too, it's like that for post-metal and sludge. I've been obsessed with those genres for well over a year now and sometimes find it hard to listen to anything but that, hahaha. But like I said, I'm getting into BM as well as DM again. Sounds like I hate the heat just as much as you, I can't stand it for the most part. But I have to like the cold either way since I'm moving to Canada in a few months, so I better be prepared for some extreme weather, haha!
 | Hawks Sweet, I'll look into them.
 | CrimsonLies Anyway dude I'm going to get some sleep, ttyl have a good night!
 | CrimsonLies I know what you mean, I feel as if I'll never get around to listening to some of it but not too long ago I started listening to a few albums that someone rec'd me over a year ago, haha that's a while but better than not listening to it at all, I say. I just block out other bands and focus too much on a particular I'm digging. I heard it's cold there, my friend who moved there always complains about it, haha I'd do the same though.
 | CrimsonLies That sounds about right for me, I have so many bands just sitting on my computer as well, haha. Yeah I live in Australia, QLD Brisbane, how bout you?
 | CrimsonLies Cheers again man I'll check out all of those. I've got so much music to check out, it's ridiculous but the more the merrier, hahaha. I used to not be able to stand black metal, even Agalloch was too much for me at one point but once I kind of got used to it I now can't see what's not to like about it. I was probably checking out bad BM bands though (btw I dk what time it is where you live but it's almost 2 am so expect a late reply, haha have a good one!)
 | CrimsonLies Thanks for the rec, I'll check it out. I don't really know many bands that remind me of Agalloch to be honest(besides Ulver I guess). I'm still branching into black metal and slowly getting into Darkthrone
 | SadAndHolyGlow Thanks for rating Verwustung after reading my "review". You rock!
 | SIMBOLIC NM dudeface. Just studyin an shiz
 | RadicalEd Dunno. I felt even with the EC it was pretty bad. I mean, the whole setup for the Ending of ME3 was pretty stupid. If you are bored sometime, check the Youtube Channel from Smudboy, he did a very good analysis of the ME3 Story (although it's kind of over the top negative at times)
 | RadicalEd yeah it was painful. I can forgive plotholes, but not of that magnitude. Also It's hard to overlook plotholes if they even stop getting the character stuff and closure right. DLC didn't help either. Those sorry slides were just pittyful
 | RadicalEd well everybodys got his own favorites. Good to see ME fans regardless. Did you hate the ending as much as I did? (Hint: I hated it so much that i literally couldn't sleep that day, because my mind was just going through the plotholes)
 | RadicalEd Yeah Garrus is a cool bro, but in the first game he get's easily shut down by wrex who has a far more compelling and convincing arc. In the second game he's great, but overshadowed by Legion and Thane who are ****ing kickass. Also he's calibrating 9/10 times which ****ing sucks. In 3 he's the best one left, but that's because tali doesn't do squat. James is a blockhead, edi is walking fanservice, liara is great but not as good as garrus and Javik is pretty good but he costs extra cash
 | RadicalEd Thane is cooler than Garrus. And Krios sounds better than Vakarian.
 | SantaGerald BUT HOOWWWW DO YOU LET SOMEONE KNOWWW IF YOUR HOT CAKES ARE SELLLING WELL?
 | MrElmo Good awnser mate (james is also pretty terrible)
 | MrElmo Let's see if your a trve mass effect lover: wich of these characters suck the most? Kaidan, Thane or Legion?
 | FrozenVain yeh, dude. It was pretty damn good. I was pleasantly surprised.
 | tempest-- I know what you mean, pretty much every gig I've been to has been paid for from parents haha. I'll probably just catch them next time, whenever that may be!
 | tempest-- Ringwood, about half an hour east of Melbourne. I would love to go to the Opeth shows, but I'll still be only 17. Why don't you check in to a hotel for a night or something? If you can afford it, it would be worth it just to see Mikael Akerfeldt!
