  • JokineAugustus Dude where have you been?
    December 27 11:41 AM
  • dopevoid im intrigued by your name, Can you give me a concise explanantion of the exact events that led your parents to gift you with this username
    April 2 09:17 PM
  • JokineAugustus screwed up the dl! Now I have to wait another hour. Ya I would reccomend them. Start with Fables From a Mayfly or Inter.Funda.Stifle. Both have a lot of the same songs on them, but each album has different production which makes them sound a bit different.
    September 3 09:02 PM
  • JokineAugustus Thanks man. Downloading it now. I haven't heard any of Karnivool's stuff, but if they're similar to Fair To Midland, as it suggests, I'll probably love them
    September 3 08:47 PM
  • JokineAugustus Oh cool. I heard people loved that. I may check it eventually. Where did you dl Hubardo btw?
    September 3 08:33 PM
  • JokineAugustus Ya. Its supposed to be a double album. Its so hard for me to listen to albums over an hour long normally. A few exceptions being Colors, Still Life, Sort of The Living Infinite, The Fragile (sometimes), and The Wall (sometimes). I have to listen to The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway more though.
    September 3 08:25 PM
  • JokineAugustus I'll get around to it. RIP did kind of grow off of me though unfortunately. Hear the new Kayo Dot, Gorguts, or Nine Inch Nails yet?
    September 3 07:36 PM
  • JokineAugustus Ya. It was Alice in Hell. Gonna listen to Neverland soon to.
    August 31 05:27 PM
  • JokineAugustus I did just check out Annihilator the other day, and they're kick ass.
    August 31 03:29 PM
  • johnnydeking29 Woah, no way!! I remember you from Iwerne a couple of years ago - you were raving about 100 Dead Rabbits haha. Yeah, it is crazy small; it's kinda funny how we've both been here for a while and knew each other all along
    August 29 09:42 PM
  • johnnydeking29 I am indeed the same person, well stalked :P I did (in fact, do; I've got one year left), but I'd appreciate it if you didn't mention that here; I don't think that the combination of the school's aristocratic reputation (I am neither rich nor well-connected btw) and the site's maturity level would not be great... how exactly did you find me btw? Are we already friends?
    August 29 09:31 PM
  • JokineAugustus Just a bit of Slayer and thats about it. I will sometime eventually.
    August 25 10:15 PM
  • JokineAugustus like the best. Its so emotionally charged, especially the build up from the intro to Savannah in Liberate, and the chorus of The Ghost Psalm. I'm sure you don't want to here me ramble on forever about them, but if you don't dig I understand. Its not everyone's thing unfortunately :c
    August 25 09:36 PM
  • JokineAugustus I can see your point, but he is basically trying to emulate him, and doing a s***ty job at that. Everything else about Zao sounds nowhere near similar though. As I Lay dying tried, and failed, to be like Zao with their first album, so it doesn't surprise me if other bands attempted it as well. Liberate is my favourite album ever though. Where Blood was the biggest grower album or The Fear. If you want technicallity, I'd go with The Funeral of God or The Fear. Their slow stuff is what I lik
    August 25 09:34 PM
  • JokineAugustus Umm ok?? Emmure doesn't sound remotely similar. Vocals boring? Damn thats harsh. Dan is a God at vocals. At least check out The Rising End.
    August 25 08:52 PM
  • JokineAugustus What!??!!!??! What songs did you hear?
    August 25 07:42 PM
  • KILL already ordered me tix lol
    August 24 06:02 PM
  • RadicalEd Nice. Was worried for a minute =D
    August 16 04:00 PM
  • JokineAugustus I think it will have some decent songs, though I really hope they use some Opeth influence like some other dude was saying.
    August 2 10:09 PM
  • JokineAugustus Idk. Its pretty cool, but I'm nowhere near a massive fan anymore. I just think they are a good band now.
    July 31 06:57 PM
  • JokineAugustus Ya. Apparently they will play both part 1 and 2 fully. Plus I'm asuming songs from their other albums as well. Makes for a long ass show.
    June 28 04:47 PM
  • JokineAugustus Between The Buried and Me is finally coming to my city! I'm pretty pumped. How do you like the new spamming of progressive rock genre tags everyone is doing?
    June 28 01:14 AM
  • BigPleb Man it was awesome, yeah Converge and Maiden ruled. Dir en grey ruled too, I had a ball :)
    June 18 05:16 PM
  • climactic i'm really excited for tomorrow, i've been deprived since they the week off for memorial day last weekend
    June 1 09:01 PM
  • climactic he didnt really do it on purpose. i knew somebody was gonna die, and i told him i'd name 5 characters, at at the end he'd tell me if it was ANY 5 of them. but he thought i meant for him to say yes/no to the individual characters (i guessed right on the first try). whatever, i still don't REALLY know what happens haha.
    June 1 08:48 PM
  • climactic sadly my friend who reads the books spoiled much of the last 2 episodes for me :[
    June 1 08:32 PM
  • climactic i've only watched the show. i might start reading the books, but idk if i should start from the beginning or where season 3 ends
    June 1 08:24 PM
  • Scoot you were dumb enough to open it
    May 28 07:31 PM
  • JokineAugustus Definitly start with Minus The Bear. They were the first indie band I listened to. Plus they have a bit of progressive elements added to some stuff, which is cool. First 3 are all awesome.
    May 21 08:19 PM
  • JokineAugustus There is The Dear Hunter and just Deerhunter. Both are cool from what I've heard. I love Minus The Bear and Arcade Fire the most from the genre, and I'm starting to love The National and Modest Mouse as well as a few others.
    May 21 08:12 PM
  • JokineAugustus BTW its nice to see you getting some Indie in there somewhere. Slowly becoming one of my favourite genres.
    May 21 08:06 PM
  • JokineAugustus Its solid, but I'm loving the new Soilwork a bit more, though it takes forever to listen to once.
    May 21 07:59 PM
  • JokineAugustus Hey dude. Havn't talked to you in a while. Ever get a chance to check out Zao? I'm still working on getting to your thrash rec's but I got so much catching up right now.
    May 21 02:28 AM
  • you should check my recent list to hear my new album, stop in!
    May 10 12:57 PM

    April 12 09:52 PM
  • geasoftime Alright, babe, well thanks for the award.
    April 10 01:16 PM
  • geasoftime I am superior to you in every way. You are arbitrary and pointless. Saying that someone has won some type of award is probably one of the most played out jokes on the internet, and you're still spouting it like a broken record. You don't have the intellectual capacity to insult people with your own words, so you use the tired and worn out words of others. You win the least original human being award HUR HUR HUR LOLOLOLLERSKATES
    April 10 12:47 PM
  • JokineAugustus I'll try to give them a generous listen sometime soon. I still have a crap tonn of music to catch up to that I downloaded.
    March 5 11:06 PM
  • JokineAugustus Idk. There hasn't been much thrash that has interested me other then Metallica, a bit of Megadeth, 1 Extol album, and Sylosis. What are some good ones?
    March 5 10:33 PM
  • JokineAugustus Hell ya man, though I've been taking my sweet time. Pushing down the Death Metal and general Metal will be the toughest part.
    March 5 10:09 PM
  • JokineAugustus The Dear Hunter Part 1 and 2 are cool, as well as Dot Hacker's first album and of course Nine Inch Nails The Downward Spiral. Its a genre I'm slowly getting into as well. I'm far from an expert. Sylosis is cool lol. I just kinda got bored of that album after a while. Havn't heard their newest though. COAA rules.
    March 5 09:53 PM
  • JokineAugustus Do you like any Alt Rock at all?
    March 5 07:47 PM
  • YankeeDudel You think you can send me a link for the album? I can only find the 86 demo
    February 26 10:36 PM
  • YankeeDudel Its not my fav genre but yea I dig.
    February 26 07:37 PM
  • Calc aighty man looks like you got my submission: Hotel of the Laughing Tree- Terror and Everything After
    February 26 05:28 PM
  • KILL yea dude i 5'd city and i dont 5 lightly, alien is awesome too
    February 5 05:39 PM
  • KILL his best record is definitely ocean machine so get that first, also get terria, those are both from devin townsend, then from the devin townsend band get accelerated evolution, then from his new band devin townsend project get addicted, honestly just get his discog because 90% of it is ****ing awesome but yea they are the highlights fo sho
    February 5 01:36 AM
  • JokineAugustus Ya for sure man. The Funeral of God is probably the best starting point.
    January 30 12:19 PM
  • JokineAugustus Maybe you would like Trivium if you like Sylosis. They also get way to much hate on here.
    December 3 10:56 PM
  • JokineAugustus They all come close to a five, but that Sylosis album.
    December 3 05:55 PM
  • JokineAugustus I own all your 5's.
