 | pedro70512 Did you know that porcupines do, in fact, sleep in trees? I have myself come across such a tree. It was a Norway Spruce if my memory serves me correctly. I believe the rodent was roughly six-teen feet aloft in a particularly dense thicket of branches. I found this curious, since the tree itself must have been one hundred meters or more tall, and the porcupine could have picked any altitude at which to slumber, yet chose the lowest branch, where predators like myself could clearly identify it as

| pedro70512 a food source. One such animal would be the fisher-cat, a large, be-fanged weasel which has a most peculiar method of making a meal of porcupines. It continuously jumps over the back of the porcupine, scratching at its face when possible, until the porcupine becomes exhausted and can be flipped and eaten. But I digress. Porcupines do, in fact, sleep in trees.
