  • manosg Absolutely! For some weird reason, it felt refreshing to come across something so similar but so well performed. And it doesn't bother me that it sound so much like A4 because there aren't any albums around that sound much like A4.
    November 5 01:50 PM
  • manosg Really glad you enjoyed the album, Evo!
    October 30 11:19 AM
  • manosg That's interesting; the guys over there are less generous with ratings than on here. I will probably give it a shot during the weekend but that one song just rubbed me the wrong way. But then again it's Anneke so it has to be at least tolerable.
    October 26 01:22 PM
  • manosg Yes, she was super kind and down to earth. She seemed to be handling very well the extra attention she was getting, especially bearing in mind that she was maybe the most popular female vocalist in metal at the time. I actually haven't heard the new Vuur apart from that one song that they released a couple of months ago. Is it any good?
    October 26 10:19 AM
  • manosg If I remember correctly, I saw Metallica in the summer supported by Monster Magnet, The Gathering just a few days after Anathema's concert, a few Greek acts and was planning on going to that year's Rockwave Festival which had an awesome lineup but didn't make it. The Gathering's live especially was the best I've ever been. The band was amazing and we got to meet the guys (and girl) after the show.
    October 26 08:27 AM
  • manosg Nice. Are you planning on attending other concerts this year?
    October 25 04:12 PM
  • manosg Sweet. I had the chance to see them back in the day when they were touring for A4 but had already gone to a few concerts at the time and was low on cash. For years, I was thinking of that lost chance. I am sure that they can still give one hell of a show.
    October 25 03:48 PM
  • manosg That's awesome Evo! How was the overall experience? Did they play any pre-Judgement material?
    October 25 02:30 PM
  • necropig Ordered a darkthrone LP and when it came to shipping they realised they didn't have it. DSS was the same price so got instead
    October 18 04:00 AM
  • manosg Nice, will check at some point. In other news, also enjoying my weekend, watching basketball and doing some gardening before the week starts and limits my free time to a minimum haha.
    October 15 11:43 AM
  • manosg Hey Evo! What is up? No, I haven't and the last few Anathema albums didn't create this urge for me to check it which might be a bit unfair towards Danny. Is it different than what he has been releasing lately with Anathema?
    October 15 06:35 AM
  • DrGonzo1937 "Glass Skin" as well. haha In fact, it's hard to pick really. But yeah, they're my highlights. Yours?
    October 8 03:29 AM
  • DrGonzo1937 I'm the kinda guy that likes his bass chubby as ****, and I thought it lacked any weight at all. "Kaiga, when silence sleeps" always gets me (so beautiful live); same with "Ware, Yami Tote...", just flawless pieces; "Red Soil"; and "Stuck Man" were my jams.
    October 8 03:26 AM
  • DrGonzo1937 Yeah, as expected, it's amazing. Only criticism I have is Toshiya's bass tone is abysmal. haha
    October 8 02:56 AM
  • DrGonzo1937 Aye, send us a link, bud. Uroboros has downloaded and works, gonna jam this s*** now.
    October 8 02:14 AM
  • DrGonzo1937 hell fire, i need to check this out
    October 7 12:05 PM
  • DrGonzo1937 **** me, bargain!
    October 7 11:51 AM
  • DrGonzo1937 Insanity for what it is, really. Although, their packaging is always First Class. I occasionally hang over Amazon for DIR EN GREY stuff. I got the deluxe of The Unraveling for £22 last week! Macabre is worth that price of admission alone!
    October 7 11:42 AM
  • DrGonzo1937 Wow, didn't know that! It was on Japanese-Discoveries. That explains why it wasn't on Yesasia.
    October 7 11:31 AM
  • DrGonzo1937 Aye, it's downloading slowly, but all good. I was tempted to buy it, but it's £80. Just can't justify that kind of coin being released on a DVD anymore. haha
    October 7 11:24 AM
  • DrGonzo1937 Legendary. Cheers Evo, you're the best. Can't wait to tuck into this.
    October 7 10:49 AM
  • DrGonzo1937 Oh, Jesus, you'll have to give me a heads up when Uro lands!
    September 28 07:06 AM
  • DrGonzo1937 Been awhile. How's it going man?
    September 28 05:15 AM
  • Evokaphile yeah man, they had some really cool ideas going, and I honestly loved the drumme'rs abuse of snare rolls.
    September 27 05:38 PM
  • Evokaphile Sup evo!
    September 26 06:32 PM
  • Ovrot alright thanks, i'll start with those then
    September 26 03:35 PM
  • Ovrot Calc said you can point me to the best NINGEN ISU album eh?
    September 26 03:29 PM
  • GreyShadow Just had to confirm with you that when I saw AFI the AOD stuff was amazing. Malleus was the only song that felt a bit butchered (a bit too slow, you could tell they hadn't played it in forever) but I was way too happy to care.
    September 19 10:29 PM
  • manosg Thank you for that, had no idea! It seems and sounds very promising, especially Tomi's participation. Gonna be heart-wrenching though.
    September 7 02:10 PM
  • manosg hah gonna check it for sure!
    September 2 02:41 PM
  • manosg I should also try Solitude Dominance Tragedy. I remember seeing it on magazines when I was younger and still remember its cover art today. Have you checked it?
    September 2 02:33 PM
  • manosg Exactly. Flair is certainly the correct term. Gotta love it when prog has those emotional and catchy elements but things don't get too melodramatic.
    September 2 02:15 PM
  • manosg I'm back! And yes, In Search Of Truth is such an awesome listen. Why hadn't I checked it before?
    September 2 02:01 PM
  • cosmopazz http://poleyounger.bandcamp.com/album/polo-youngings-has-died-in-a-car-crash
    September 1 06:28 AM
  • manosg Hey Evo! How's everything? I dig it but I'm not crazy about it. Do the guitars bring to mind the Icon/Draconian period or is it just my idea?
    August 6 01:51 PM
  • DrGonzo1937 yeah, no doubt medusa will reach a 4.5 after a few jams.
    August 6 06:03 AM
  • DrGonzo1937 awh, nice one. jamming now. it's different. haha
    August 6 06:03 AM
  • manosg hahaha what is it this year with the early leaks? At least they're solid albums even though, overall, I might prefer 2016 compared to 2017 at this point.
    July 27 04:25 PM
  • manosg Nice. Is it turning out to be heavier than The Plague Within?
    July 25 04:01 PM
  • manosg I was actually going to shoutbox you about Lacrimas Profundere haha! It's one of those albums that if I had been jamming back in the '90s I'd 4.5 in a heartbeat. Going to check the rest of their discog but I think we have found a gem here.
    July 24 12:25 PM
  • manosg For sure! This is the Theatre of Tragedy connection right there.
    July 17 08:55 AM
  • manosg Indeed and he's not interested in continuing his career as a musician let alone resurrect Theatre of Tragedy which is a shame but at least he got to tour with Liv which is pretty awesome.
    July 16 01:22 PM
  • manosg Sweet, will definitely check. In the meantime, I just stumbled upon this today and needles to say I love it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1dHe0pnrUc
    July 16 10:09 AM
  • manosg Just saw it yesterday but haven't checked it yet. Any significant differences compared to the original?
    July 16 03:09 AM
  • manosg Oh yeah. it's very good. Besides the songwriting, I really like Holmes' performance on that album. I'd say it's my second favorite after One Second which I've been enjoying even more lately.
    July 15 03:50 PM
  • artiswar thanks, it does sound better
    July 11 03:54 PM
  • manosg Yup, I checked the BIN remake and even though I'm not a big fan of the song the remake sounds a bit better to my ears. Also, is a band called Brokencyde representative of crunkcore? Man, even funnier than the music are the lyrics and the guys themselves hahaha.
    July 11 02:06 PM
  • manosg Checked the new Cradle of Filth track, Evo? Not bad at all. Also, what is crunkcore lol?
    July 11 10:37 AM
  • Kusangii Yeah, that's the spirit. Most genres probably has something to offer indeed, it's just really difficult to find all those bands that clicks with you personally. That crunkcore genre sounds awful though, not gonna lie lol
    July 11 10:05 AM
  • Kusangii Just my honest opinion man, haha. You seem to dig every single sub-genre of metal out there, which is quite rare to see. ^^
    July 10 01:18 PM
  • Kusangii You have probably the coolest taste of all time. Just figured I had to tell you that.
    July 10 12:35 PM
  • manosg Thanks, Evo! Doom metal with Vampirella on the cover? I'm definitely checking it.
    July 8 02:53 PM
  • manosg Looks beautiful, Evo. Really need to buy a turntable at some point but I'm afraid it's going to ruin my finances haha. Do you have a lot of LPs?
    July 7 02:50 PM
  • manosg ugh that sucks. But a remake from BIN as a bonus track could be very interesting and surprising at the same time haha.
    July 7 02:38 PM
  • manosg Can these guys even disappoint? It's not easy succeeding an album like The Plague Within but if Medusa is almost as good I will be very very happy.
    July 7 02:28 PM
  • manosg lol it's dangerous to try to change anything on this site anymore. I really hope something changes at some point and things don't get worse.
    July 6 08:48 AM
  • manosg Exactly! I grew up with classic rock (among other '90s stuff of course) and I find it very hard to accept more modern stuff like these guys or Volbeat who I checked last year, for example. But I will continue trying and who knows I might be able to get some enjoyment at least. Worst case scenario is improving my objectivity haha.
    July 6 08:32 AM
  • manosg hehe, stumbled upon it on Deezer and I thought to give it a go. It's not bad at all and it does have it fair share of fun but I just can't digest modern rock so much it seems haha. But I definitely understand why someone may like it.
    July 6 08:03 AM
  • DrGonzo1937 Could you send us it again laaaaa? I'll try again.
    July 4 06:17 AM
  • DrGonzo1937 The link didn't work, bud. If I recall.
    July 4 02:56 AM
  • manosg Arcana Coelestia, iirc, was in one of those doom tournaments people used to organize (which I miss) and I checked it back then but can't remember how much I enjoyed it.
    July 3 04:16 PM
  • manosg Hey Evo! Yeah, I checked Edguy who I should have checked 20 years ago haha, They were predictably solid. I also want to listen to Sorni Nai at some point because of your description which I am sure I will enjoy.
    July 3 03:28 PM
  • DrGonzo1937 Aye, only Diru can sound like Diru; nothing will match it. But I'll take a Kyo project that offers something with a level of substance. I think you should review it.BTW, is the site being hellishly slow for you, or is it just my s***e works computer?
    June 28 07:31 AM
  • DrGonzo1937 I didn't say sounding DIR EN GREY, I said is it the same level of quality. haha But will definitely check it tonight. Your description certainly has me interested.
    June 28 06:44 AM
  • DrGonzo1937 Oh, wow. If you say it's legit, send it my way, mate. DIR EN GREY quality?
    June 28 05:35 AM
  • DrGonzo1937 Oh, wow. If you say it's legit, send it my way, mate. DIR EN GREY quality?
    June 28 05:35 AM
  • manosg It's like these girls which are super cute but nothing more than that. I am okay with the lack of progress from Motorhead and AC/DC but Anathema was so much more than that for me. Sorry buddy I knew my soundoff would frustrate you but had to get it out of my system ;)
    June 21 08:52 AM
  • manosg hehe I knew you would message me! You know that I really like these guys Evo and I rarely bother bashing bands which I'm not emotionally connected with. But I've been jamming the album for quite a while now and the only feelings I get are slight boredom and frustration. Not because it's a bad album but because it feels so safe. I compare them with MDB, Paradise Lost, Amorphis, even The Gathering and Theatre of Tragedy and this makes their lack of taking chances even more frustrating.
    June 21 08:51 AM
  • manosg Same here. Checked Into the Electric Castle in the past but didn't love it and their last one this week and found it pretty funny because a lot of melodies reminded me of The Gentle Storm.
    June 18 02:46 PM
  • manosg Yup. Loved the vocals but the instrumentation didn't impress me much, felt a bit ordinary. Definitely stoked though! Did you have the chance to check the new Ayreon?
    June 18 02:02 PM
  • Flugmorph come to discord breh: https://discord.gg/AkxdUX
    June 11 08:38 AM
  • Flugmorph i wasnt to hot on it on first listen tbh :(
    June 9 07:06 PM
  • Flugmorph how do you like the new birthday massacre record man :3
    June 9 02:33 PM
  • manosg Mandylion and The Angel are both solid recs, I'll definitely think about them. Gutter Ballet has a really good review and it would be a shame to get the flag because of a tag. You're also right on the money with the new Anathema. Not impressed even though I've only checked it once. They've been doing the same thing for so long and I don't know if I can give them a pass this time. I mean everything is well-composed and performed but these guys used to be so adventurous.
    June 4 02:28 PM
  • manosg Also, love that Loreena McKennitt rating!
    June 4 01:58 PM
  • manosg I wanna say yes but I really don't know. I am afraid I wrote my anniversary review a bit too early in the form of Velvet Darkness They Fear haha. But definitely thinking about it. Any suggestions?
    June 4 01:56 PM
  • manosg Yeah do check it, it's not bad by any means.
    June 1 02:51 PM
  • manosg lol thanks for the correction Evo! It's not a bad album but nothing special either to me despite its influences. It kinda reminded me of Spiritual Beggars' latest LP.
    June 1 02:45 PM
  • manosg This is a good point haha. I would love to learn if these guys are trolling people like me or actually believe that they are making music. Truth is I had years to listen to something as atrocious as this album haha.
    May 20 01:04 PM
  • DrGonzo1937 Have to admit, I was expecting a 2 from it myself. I need to check the Kimmel show they did, I've heard it's decent.
    May 20 09:27 AM
  • DrGonzo1937 Yeah, I know what you mean. I haven't had much time to go on the computer lately, so I have a backlog of albums i need to check. haha I also listened to the new LP album though; really not that bad, surprisingly. Not good either, mind!
    May 19 03:16 PM
  • DrGonzo1937 Cheers bud! Nah, I don't think he does haha must be a coincidence! How's it going?
    May 19 02:26 PM
  • DrGonzo1937 New track of mine dropped today if you wanna check it buddy? Let us know what you think.https://deepsands.bandcamp.com/album/theuntitledshortcuthttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToTBX8HR4tA
    May 19 12:22 PM
  • Flugmorph oh boi that looks neat, im gonna read that
    May 16 12:33 AM
  • Flugmorph dude why are you not in our discord server btw
    May 8 04:38 PM
  • manosg Indeed, I wasn't very happy with the electro track on Distant Satellites. I will be content if there's at least some variety throughout the album. Not expecting a new A4 or Judgement, they're way past that but at least give us some variety, a sense of adventure. But I trust your opinion and especially when it comes to these guys so I'm feeling eager to check the album.
    May 6 11:17 AM
  • manosg Awesome, gonna check asap. It seems that these guys can do no wrong, with various degrees of success ofc.
    May 6 08:37 AM
  • manosg I found it more commercial and less adventurous, but at the same time more catchy. Can't say if I enjoyed it more or less but I certainly liked it more than I expected. I see you've rated the new Anathema! How does it sound?
    May 6 07:49 AM
  • Angelboros Hey, Havok Engine, what's this I'm hearing bout a new Diru song that was played live?
    May 5 04:19 PM
  • DrGonzo1937 Cheers budday.
    April 27 04:40 AM

    April 19 05:37 AM
  • manosg haha yeah, I wanted to like the album more given the style of music they play but it just let something to be desired; maybe a truly standout track. Let's hope they fix that on their debut LP.
    April 17 01:57 PM
  • AcmeApathyAmok Yeah, I had the Mode Of series downloaded but haven't watched them all until recently. Nothing short of amazing, especially Mode of Kisou which was my favorite of the three.
    April 17 01:54 PM
  • 50iL Ima hit up Soulseek, they're prob on there
    April 7 04:10 PM
  • 50iL He hasn't, but I've heard about them. I've wanted to download their discog for some time now.
    April 7 02:47 PM
  • 50iL Yes haha, thanks mane

  • 50iL CalculatingInfinity hitting me up wit dat gud s***
    April 7 04:22 AM
  • DrGonzo1937 Ahh got ya, I thought you meant you had em all up there for stream. Cheers for the DSS stream anyway.
    April 7 03:49 AM
  • DrGonzo1937 All three?only Dss streamed, the other two wouldn't? It's cool haha it was good enough for me like
    April 6 03:45 PM
  • DrGonzo1937 Was it? haha Well, cheers man. But yeah, I streamed that link for DSS that Calc sent us from the site; couldn't do it with the others though.
    April 6 04:58 AM
  • DrGonzo1937 Oh, it was something else, dude! Calc gave me the other two, but they aren't stream and they won't play on my player....
    April 6 04:47 AM
  • manosg Not yet but it's definitely a priority. Been jamming the new Mastodon though and liking it even though I'm not a big fan of the band.
    March 31 03:33 PM
  • manosg Definitely. It's a shame that albums like this one or Thy Catafalque went unreviewed last year.
    March 19 02:21 PM
  • manosg Great choice, Evo! It's got those sincere '90s doom/gothic vibes we both love. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
    March 18 04:16 PM
  • manosg I admire your perseverance, Evo! Personally, I couldn't watch more than a few minutes. Just wish there was a clear/non-360 version somewhere on YT just to watch the collaboration with Anneke.
    March 13 01:08 PM
  • manosg Oh yeah, loooved listening to Anneke singing like that. There are also a couple of videos of the concert on YouTube but their quality is so poor which is a shame because the album sounds more like a gathering of friends rather than a typical concert.
    March 13 08:52 AM
  • manosg Haven't read the review yet but I'll let you know when I do. Have these guys released anything worth jamming?
    March 10 03:17 PM
  • manosg haha these guys a getting annihilated on here and the Greek edition of Metal Hammer gave them a rating of 7/10. Dunno what to think about it.
    March 10 02:51 PM
  • manosg lol curious to see what's your next rating
    March 10 02:21 PM
  • manosg Oh yeah, when you're in a fun cheesy mood Rhapsody is one of the better choices out there. Checked any great album lately, Evo?
    March 10 01:58 PM
  • manosg Hey Evo, how is everything? Have you checked An Evening with Friends at Huvila by Amorphis? Even though I'm not the biggest fan of their post-Tuonela stuff, I have it on replay the last few days.
    March 9 08:05 AM
  • Xenorazr Thanks, and I definitely intend to keep them coming in full supply!
    February 27 09:07 PM
  • DrGonzo1937 Thanks buddy!
    February 27 10:21 AM
  • danielcardoso Thanks man, lol yeah he has stuff coming out real soon :]
    February 27 10:15 AM
  • cryptologous Thanks bro, really appreciate it!
    February 27 09:14 AM
  • manosg Thank you Evo, much appreciate it!
    February 27 09:10 AM
  • Gameofmetal Thanks!
    February 27 09:08 AM
  • Jasdevi087 where are teh ratings?
    February 23 10:31 PM
  • manosg Finally checked Thy Catafalque - Meta and it's excellent. So varied and with so many interesting moments but quite accessible at the same time.
    January 10 01:57 PM
  • RunOfTheMill Merry Christmas Evo
    December 25 12:21 PM
  • manosg Merry Christmas, Evo! All the best to you and your loved ones.
    December 25 10:32 AM
  • necropig Merry Christmas! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    December 25 06:59 AM
  • Flugmorph thx you glorious goth lover, same to you and heres for another great year on sputnik :)
    December 25 06:50 AM
  • DrGonzo1937 Merry Christmas, mate. Have a good one!
    December 25 05:41 AM
  • manosg Right back at ya! Yeah I rarely find albums that transport me back to my teen days and TG25: Live at Doornroosje did exactly this. I'm eager to see where the band goes from there. Seeing your list, I really need to check Thy Catafalque and Emma Ruth Rundle. Only thing that bothers me with Thy Catafalque is the industrial tag. Are the industrial elements very evident on their album?
    December 20 08:00 AM
  • manosg I actually expected to enjoy it more than From Afar but I didn't. I'm quite new to Ensiferum though so my ratings may change. Have you checked Caladan Brood - Echoes of Battle? I listened to it a couple of times in 2013 when it came out and I'm jamming it now. I can't see it in your ratings so if you haven't already checked it, it's highly recommended.
    December 15 02:13 PM
  • manosg Yes, I can live with that a bit more. Dunno if you're into black metal but I've been jamming this album quite a bit lately. It was released in April and flew under the radar but I just love its atmosphere and the guitar playing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zp0ll6iuvSM
    November 28 03:57 PM
  • manosg I presume you say my soundoff for the new Volbeat lol. I found it okay instrumentally, but I felt that it was completely devoid of soul. To be completely honest though, I just heard the album once.
    November 28 03:28 PM
  • manosg Those damn falsettos are so ridiculous haha. I don't even know if the singer was trolling or doing those falsettos because he actually thought they were benefiting the music.
    November 28 02:12 PM
  • DrGonzo1937 Yeah, the one where he breaks down is just...ugh, the chills.
    November 18 01:22 AM
  • DrGonzo1937 I take it back, Tousei is probably fave from the album and it ****ing blew the set out of the water live; unbelievable.
    November 17 12:11 PM
  • DrGonzo1937 Can't really pick any tbh, it was damn near flawless.
    November 13 08:37 AM
  • DrGonzo1937 Just watched Arche at Budokan last night; fantastic is a bit of an understatement.
    November 13 03:57 AM
  • DarkSideOfLucca you're my new favorite person
    November 7 12:38 PM
  • Angelboros You know, looking at the avgs, I have a feeling MDB's discography is fairly consistent. The vocalist also said somewhere that either Like Gods of the Sun or The Dreadful Hours is his favorite album, so I'll definitely put those somewhere on my extensive bucket list. Thing's gonna get torn apart sooner or later, I swear :P
    November 6 12:08 PM
  • Angelboros Indeed. Decided on giving that album a few listens before rating it, of course. Wondrous record, and one that has convinced me to check the band's other releases in due time.
    November 6 11:48 AM
  • manosg Indeed, Lake of Tears - Forever Autumn is also a great choice but I can't even remember the last time I listened to it. And I've yet to listen to A Crimson Cosmos by these guys.
    October 31 04:18 PM
  • manosg Same here. I've also heard Souvenirs d'un autre monde because it was in one of Keyblade's lists and it's pretty good too. The thing is, when I try to listen to something melancholic during fall, I always end up jamming the same stuff again and again. Theatre of Tragedy, Anathema, My Dying Bride, etc.
    October 31 03:50 PM
  • manosg Just two songs in and it's great. Very trippy and melancholic in a good way.
    October 31 03:40 PM
  • manosg Hey Evo! Actually no but thank you for reminding me. I will check it right now and even though I won't be able to jam it in its entirety, it will suffice for getting the feel of the album.
    October 31 03:24 PM
  • Mythodea Will do, thanks. (I admit it had flown over my head)
    October 5 04:01 PM
  • Mythodea Hi there, I've uploaded my review on the new Epica album on the Proofreading thread. Can you give it a shot and tell me if there's something wrong?
    October 5 03:21 PM
  • manosg hmm not an easy choice indeed. If I had to choose one, it would be the new Vektor, followed by Fates Warning. I actually think that the new Fates Warning is one of the best of their career.
    October 3 02:29 PM
  • manosg Sweet. Gonna jam Kodama as soon as possible. I've been intrigued by the cover art for quite some time. So many great albums this year!
    October 3 02:08 PM
  • manosg I enjoyed it a lot yeah. I see that you have rated the new Alcest. Is it a good starting point or should I check their discog chronologically? Also, if you have some time, try to check Limbonic Art. Their first two albums are pretty impressive.

    August 22 09:47 AM
  • Dis_Con_Nec_Ted Not exactly. Found the most recent live release in decent quality on youtube though hehe. Noticed the 4h live DSS as well. I imagine the Tour 14 Gauze is there too.
    August 22 08:13 AM
  • OmairSh Forced in a sense that it seems at times the band composed the chorus first, and decided to fill in the space with a couple of verses. I'm slowly digesting the album, but still it feels like a bit of a let down. I don't hear those extremely unusual song structures that Tom mentioned on fb. It feels pretty standard verse, chorus, bridge like to me. I also hate that they chose the same guy as Hymns to master it. It's too compressed, and the low end is almost absent.
    August 20 09:21 PM
  • OmairSh So I couldn't resist and got the new Evergrey. Listened to it around 3 times. Hasn't really left an impression apart from sounding formulaic and a bit forced. Passing Through is a belter of a track though. Amazing chorus
    August 19 07:14 PM

    July 27 07:51 AM
  • Flugmorph he has dem vocals and dem riffs man. so tasty
    July 27 07:50 AM
  • manosg Hey Evo! No, not yet but I've read good things and it's Dan Swano so it's gonna rule. I think that we (including me ofc) don't talk very often about how important Dan Swano has been for our music, for more that 20 years. To me, he's as important as say Mikael Akerfeldt.
    July 27 05:31 AM
  • Flugmorph To answer myself here. Ye it ****ing bangs indeed

    June 28 12:54 AM
  • OmairSh AAAAAAHHHHH!!!! Can't wait!!! https://www.facebook.com/Evergrey/videos/1194309053953974/
    June 23 06:12 PM
  • Flugmorph Last song is a total nightwish epic ripoff hahaha
    May 27 10:26 AM
  • Flugmorph feels more like Power metal with screamy vocals than mdm to me. But in the end many finish mdm bands are like that I guess. Thats why I could never really get into children of bodom, kalmah or norther.
    May 27 09:30 AM
  • Flugmorph It's to much dragonforce-like wankery in there to truly enjoy it atm.
    May 27 08:04 AM
  • Flugmorph Yo dawg. What do u think about the new whispered album? How does it compare to their last effort.
    May 26 01:22 PM
  • AnimalsAsSummit hell yes!!!! Album is too amazing, deserves every bit of attention it can get
    May 22 11:53 AM
  • manosg For what it's worth, I had a lot of second thoughts about my rating but I just went with how I felt ;)
    May 22 05:00 AM
  • manosg Oh man, I was about to write a soundoff in order to explain myself but I was so fed up after hearing the whole thing. Don't get me wrong, in terms of music the album is great but I just couldn't stand listening to grown men whining song after song after song. During the first 4-5 songs I enjoyed the album a lot but then it became just very linear, samey and whiny. I mean early Anathema was all about human pain and anguish... Universal felt like moaning and griping.
    May 22 04:59 AM
  • manosg For sure. And that lineup is dream. Listening to Andy LaRocque playing death metal is so awesome.
    May 19 07:52 AM
  • manosg Awesome! I was almost sure you'd enjoy it because of all the influences that Oceans of Slumber have incorporated to their music. I've been also jamming the new Vektor the last few days and it's seriously one of the best metal albums I've heard over the past years.
    May 7 07:31 AM
  • manosg Nice. Gonna give em a chance.
    April 28 03:07 PM
  • manosg For sure, repercussions might not be temporary but the way we feel about them might as well be ;) Played Skyrim too but didn't love it. Oblivion is on a whole another level though. I see you've rated Howls of Ebb. Never checked anything by them. Do you think their latest is a good starting point?
    April 28 02:26 PM
  • manosg Yeah, real life's hard some times. Whenever I'm down, I like to think that everything is temporary which might not say much when you're feeling down but it's true. Never played Dark Souls but I started playing Oblivion after many years and been really enjoying it. This year is solid in terms of new releases. New Rimfrost is some of the best Immortal worship I've listened and Ripper - Experiment of Existence is as good as modern death/thrash gets.
    April 28 02:00 PM
  • manosg They're a good choice for support given the music they play. You'll probably enjoy the album whenever you check it. How's everything?
    April 28 01:17 PM
  • Flugmorph EvoHavok,FlugmorphPercent Common Albums:23.08%Correlation:0.691
    April 15 01:35 PM
  • manosg Yeah, I saw your rating and a couple of other guys' and thought to give it a chance. Great album, with a lot of variation and emotion.
    April 7 05:15 AM
  • RunOfTheMill Yeah, it's one of my favourites from her. So far, I think TInderbox and Juju are def their best albums, but they have so many worthwhile tracks on other albums and b-sides.
    April 4 02:49 PM
  • RunOfTheMill Hmmm I've been checking them out constantly for the past 3-4 weeks, they have a lot of great songs and albums. Ever listen to Dazzle?
