 | rasputin yeah I definitely understand that, I've taken a step back from it with my blog too. Still, it does have its benefits, I trust there are more people like you and me who fulfill the second part of 'try and buy'. do you use any other online s*** i.e. lastfm, RYM or facebook? might be easier to keep in touch

 | MoosechriS Cool, i've had a mooch around this morning and apparently gilead are looking to release the vinyl on october 16th. So think i'll hang on and wait for it instead of getting the cd. I'd actually forgotten that the new krallice album was due out.

| YankeeDudel Yea Vesp recd me some stuff (you guys are joined at the hip eh?) and liked some of it. Didnt think they were very experimental like she said but they werent that bad. Im still a BM noob but IDK Im just not a fan of the insanely raw stuff like you guys are. Maybe I will be down the line, as my tastes are always changing, so Ill check those out man and see if they spark anything. Thanks.

| MoosechriS sounds like a good idea dude, i know what your saying about the whole downloading thing. I started posting stuff without links and then i was just getting people mailing me asking for links instead of buying the stuff from the labels. So you feel like your becoming part of the whole problem, the reviews should be good dude and you can still promote and post links to labels and bands sites for people to buy their stuff. I suck at writing so it wouldnt work for me but it sounds good dude

Theres no mention of additional untitled songs although i know what you mean. The woddrea mylenstede demo was very similar when i ripped it too.

| MoosechriS Thanks dude, wedding is this time next year basically so a while off yet but we're obviously having to start booking things now to get them sorted so money is already vanishing :-s my girlfriend doesnt really dig my music but shes enthusiastic about photography and design so she normally appreciates album art and stuff like that plus given her interests shes very understanding of mine. She never complains about it even on long car journeys where shes often subjected to whatever im listening to

| MoosechriS I know it's cool since when i order stuff from legion blotan i get it in a couple of days instead of weeks/months like i do with international distros. Cool subject by the way dude, i went back to education about 3 years ago studying advanced psychotherapy and psychology but the entire class got ****ed over as the course lost its accreditation 2/3 of the way through so the qualificatons were worthless :( still managed to qualify as a practitional hypnotherapist before it went belly up though

| MoosechriS I live in warrington which is right between liverpool and manchester, which works out about 180 miles from caimbridge. What are you planning on studying? I can only dream of university, my old ass can't afford to go back now. Thays what i get for being lazy as a kid haha. As for Durazis i've never even heard of them dude? Money is a bit tight at the moment due to me and my girlfriends wedding coming up, so my spending is pretty restrained so i'm trying not to buy as much stuff.

| rasputin i didnt do much promotion initially and the units i sold were all mainly to people i already knew or a few others from forums i frequent. recently i've done a bit more promotion, sending out free copies for review and I made a big cartel too. you just gotta push it, and if you put in the effort and the music you're releasing is decent, you should do fine

| rasputin it will vary depending on your situation, contacts etc. my zine does quite well because I've got a few distros who I'm chummy with that buy copies, plus I interview quite a few local bands and that allows band copies, copies for their band friends plus I can sell them at shows doing stalls and stuff. the tapes/cd-rs i do really depends on who you know and how much effort you put into promoting it.

| MoosechriS Sounds good, i managed to get my hands on one of the original cdrs that were released. Fallen Empire had a small amount available so i managed to get one there. I kept putting off buying the tape as i already had the cdr, but then i've heard people say the sound is a million times better on the tape so guess i missed out. Still think the cdr rules so it's not that bad really.

| MoosechriS One of the guys i speak to on last.fm said he was speakin to kyle on the pure stench forums. It was only the they came at dawn stuff he was unsure of. Apparently they were going to put the first demo out as a 7" through psychic violence at some point last year and the decide where to go next. But he wasnt 100 percent on the future of the project apparently. Like i said its whispers really and it may have been misinterpreted. Hopefully him and the other guys release something else.
