| Beardog Haha that's awesome to hear. I do feel I now really entered the rabbit hole where people complain about the MM-500 and then say 'compared to the LCD-5 (triple the price) it is not that good' and they run it through 5 different 10k amps. But overall reviews seem very positive so I think I'm quite sold on buying that one
| Beardog Cool, thanks. Already hit up a local store but they usually don't have that much of this super high end stuff to try sadly. Will check head-fi to say if they have some new info for me!
| Beardog How did you come about this kinda headphone, how did you decide on which one you were going to get in this price range?
| JayEnder Honestly I can kinda see where you're coming from. It's a claustrophobic ass album for sure haha. Goes hard but the ear fatigue is real after awhile :/
| JayEnder Colin Marston is the production god too yes. This sounds otherwordly
| JayEnder Yesss Angels is probably my favorite atmospheric song on the new one, Hovering Head Drones is still close behind. Second half of the title track is insane too. And yeah lmao the dude has lost his damn mind this album is so unbelievably good.
| JayEnder Early favs on In But Not Of? Vivisected Psychopomp goes ahrd as ****.
| JayEnder I know dude, both new songs are insaneee. Definitely hoping for some more atmospheric goodness like on Human Head Drones but Tightening the Screws is such a fun lil ripper. I can see this one being a chart topper for sure m/
| JayEnder Bruh I'm so stoked for new Afterbirth
| nash1311 Lol true haha. That?s why I was wondering
| nash1311 Thanks dude! How do you digest bm then, preferentially?
| nash1311 Yo fella. You have good taste. But also I know you have good black metal taste. Got any recs? Also, what are your favorite headphones/speakers for listening to BM? Cheers!
| SteakByrnes Alright homie I am back and sent you a friend request on discord, gonna send over my resume during lunch when i go back home lol
| SteakByrnes Rad dude I'll take up that cert for sure then, and okay I'll hit you with an email probably after the weekend because I'll be out of town until Monday lol. Thank you broski it's much appreciated
| SteakByrnes Word I've been curious about AWS and learning about it so I'll dig into that. I imagine the best way to go through the training and cert is through amazon's site for it lol. And yea it's been tough getting anything, been looking for a bit now. I'd welcome any feedback, do you want my email? Or do you have discord?
| SteakByrnes Hey trilo so I have a question. iirc you are a full stack engineer, do you know of any good certifications I could work on to get those credentials on my resume? I'm in the process of looking for a new job near or in NYC and a lot of places ask for full stack engineers, and I'm more of a c or c guy as of now. I did web dev in college so I know the basics of it all but I'd like to get a cert to put on my resume. Any advice? Sorry to throw this on you randomly lol
| JokineAugustus Thanks for the in depth response. Ill probably wait for some black friday sales to pick out a good pair.
| JokineAugustus You seem to know a good ammount about headphones. What are some good cans to get for 200 or less? Canadian dollars so probably 150 US.
| DDDeftoneDDD I DO NOT GET YOUR TAKE ON CONJURER. but still like you
| JayEnder Opener alone makes me wanna 5 this already lmaooo. What am I even listening to dude, this is everything I wanted to hear. Embalmed With Magma is nutssssss
| JayEnder Well holy s***. I figured it out. Not waiting any longer either lol, I preordered the vinyl and CD so I think an early jam is necessary. Will report back brotha.
| JayEnder Found eishen but the dl is only Celestial Cyst. No full album :[
| JayEnder DUDE. NO WAY. YOU GOTTA HOOK A BROTHER UP
| JayEnder You ever get into Immolation? Their new single slays ahrd, feel like you'd dig. Also that Malignant Altar rating makes me sad lol
| JayEnder Well. That was absolutely terrifying... and therefore awesome. Whole thing feels like an intense anxiety attack in audio form. YWGWYW vibes for sure.
| JayEnder That description alone has me hyped to listen, sounds like its right up my alley. Actually been looking for scarier, more demented stuff lately so I'm glad you pulled thru for me dude haha.
| DDDeftoneDDD Wtf is with this Friday? Lol https://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?mode=1
| JayEnder Damn, that absolutely ripped. Colin Marston's production game is next level... and you early know the new AB album is gonna fall right in line. Dude, I'm definitely gonna have to reserve a 5 for that. This album will hold me over in the meantime
| DDDeftoneDDD Playlist with masto, archspire, be'lakor and sunless since this morning. Half way on mastodon lol Tks for reminding. it will be a busy but at least with good new music to check out.
| DDDeftoneDDD I must check that, feed back to me when you do it. I m busy as hell and only jam radical dude lol
| JayEnder Dude, masstadens nationalsang is SOTY material. Never heard a song that made me want to legitimately throw down in my own room lol. Pretty much a masterpiece.
| JayEnder New Vildhjarta is so close I can almost hear the djunz and atmoskronk on the horizon m/
| JayEnder You weren't kidding about these guys being AB worship lol. Desecration of the Host rips dude, vocalist just doesn't bring that Will Smith charisma tho. Vox are buried in the mix so hard. Cool find tho
| DDDeftoneDDD Oh s*** wait. 2nd listen, is that a sax on the first track?
| DDDeftoneDDD great find trilo! Devoid of Thought seem to have it all. Each track a beast of its own which was pretty cool. TKS
| JayEnder Will czech trilbro m/ I've been craving that new AB album so hard, hopefully this will hold me over haha.
| DDDeftoneDDD Nah vocals kinda rule, a little awkward for some perhaphs. Nice 4 on HoodedM.
| DDDeftoneDDD I set them 3, but rolo doesn t make sense lmao, just read the soundoff lmao feed me back
| DDDeftoneDDD Ei. Will surely try. Hooded Menace is priority now tho.
| JayEnder Hell yeah dude, its awesome. Glad you're digging it too! That black metal section towards the middle of Amber... holy s*** that was so unexpected. Wish he brought more skramz like that on the album
| JayEnder Album is so unbelievably good. Planetarium and Dog In the Wild sent me to a different plane of existence dude. Now onto Glitchking haha party isn't over yet
| JayEnder I'm so nervous to even hit play haha. Its a rainy, s***ty day here and I just really want the environment to be perfect. Might have to wait a lil while but just you saying that has me hyped even further
| JayEnder OMG MY COPY SHOWED UP EARLY!!! I didn't even realize it had shipped... dude today is gonna be the best day ever. Gonna smoke myself out and jam this so unbelievably ahrd m/
| JayEnder Dude I'm so excited for the new Lantlos album you have no idea.
| JayEnder Erdve rips ahrd for sure m/ Mars always comes thru with the obscure gems lol
| JayEnder Lithuanian metal? Dude how do you find these bands haha. Will definitely czech
| JayEnder Deathspell Omega vibes for sureee on this album m/
| JayEnder Nah this year is just dry af so far lol. At least as far as metal releases go. Suffering Hour is sounding gnarly man, these vox are sinister. Man's got those occasional Will Smith gurgles haha. That reminds me we need new Artificial Brain asap
| JayEnder I hope so too dude, maybe try Swarth again. That one is probably their best. If you're looking for variation Seepia would also be a good one to come back to. Also, if you got any recs feel free to send em my way!
| JayEnder Yeah I totally understand where you're comin from. They're much more about atmosphere than riffs unfortunately :[ but seeing as you like a lot of avant garde dm I thought it'd at least interest you with the whole horror element thing goin on lol
| JayEnder Damn bro. New Portal didn't do much for you?
| DDDeftoneDDD tks bro. will check. I'm piling atm cause I'm stuck with Coroner
| DDDeftoneDDD I mean be true! but what its worth it's nothing like "classic blackgaze" like Deafheaven or something. It has a strange experimental post/ gaze vibe but def not at all like what you're expecting I'm guessing. Anyway it doesn't mean that you'll like it eitherway ahah
| DDDeftoneDDD hey sorry to bother/insist, have you reached Isgherurd Morth? the album only remains with 2 rates lol its decent enough for more ppl to check me thinks (btw stop 3.5ing s*** lmao!)
| DDDeftoneDDD hit the nail with that EP. Sick. Can't wait for an LP.
| DDDeftoneDDD prob few will get this but you - Isgherurd Morth - its like some prog post gazey bdm. diggin a lot!
| DDDeftoneDDD I'll try, whenever my list gets empty I suddenly see my self drowning again ....yelp lol
| DDDeftoneDDD Surely! Tks! Glad you dug Mefitis. I couldn t stop listening. Debut is pretty good as well.
| DDDeftoneDDD I think that s the reason I don t up the rating. Although the further I listen the more solid it gets, believe me (specially the back half), great work on atmo/synth work as well. I know when you drop 3.5 on dm is quality already tho. Hug
| DDDeftoneDDD That late trio of tracks is really grabbing me - Shadows of Infinity - Pendulum - Primordial - m/m/m/
| DDDeftoneDDD Dude make Fractal Generator justice. Sput is ****in that one up. Hug
| DDDeftoneDDD have you checked the last Mr. Bungle? check out that closer...ahah
| Pon I have my man, lovely disso-riffs but cohesion felt like a bit of an afterthought imo
| DDDeftoneDDD C.O.III: Quest for a Future (Expander's closer) in repeat rn
| DDDeftoneDDD hell yeah, that one I'm spinning more and more. It rules lol m/
| DDDeftoneDDD on the digs. that new Expander is also pre cool. Maybe hit or miss but really liked the new genre they say they play (Neuropunk) ahahah
| DDDeftoneDDD Its like weird artsy and gazey post rock....with some metal vibes....late Contortionist meeting Deftones meeting Radiohead (Tom Yorke) and Jeff Buckley.
| DDDeftoneDDD Hi Trilo have you done Martin Grech? do it, so cool....weird production but you can tell why.
| DDDeftoneDDD "...Failure though so i'll add to my list. i'm all about the sludgy, shoegazy stuff." The latest Failure is v good.
| Inoculaeted Failure are contemporaries of Hum and did a bunch in the 90s and also went on a long break before emerging again in 2015. They are more spacey-grungy vibes. I?d definitely give them a hard look if you dig Hum.
| Inoculaeted Two things that I?ve really enjoyed that gravitate around the Hum - Inlet sound: Palms and Failure (After 2015). I noticed you didn?t have ratings for those but you may have heard them.
| DDDeftoneDDD Check the filth on Vile Creature dude. Legit stuff
| DDDeftoneDDD check the new Thou - Blessings of the Highest Order. 16 Nirvana covers.
| DDDeftoneDDD Hey trilo, check the new Temple of Void. Cool stuff
| DDDeftoneDDD oooh and your hard to 4! So thats a lot I guess!
| DDDeftoneDDD I prefer to set a 4 (on my scale)...don't think it will go down from that...there was some gorgeous parts, and some parts even more heavy than Morbus,... maybe a further bump who knows.
| DDDeftoneDDD I haven t check it yet but put there things so I don t forget lmao....I don t know many things I have there anymore ahahah
| DDDeftoneDDD Sweet to know that after what I said ahah. Should be on similar artist then!
| DDDeftoneDDD okay I said gazey the other dude on the soundoff said "post rock". It kinda fits better..it has that modern avant gardish music, much like Artificial Brain m/m/m/
| DDDeftoneDDD The Album is freakin awesome...lot of Artifical Brain vibes here..and there's somewhat of gazey vibes (do you get them bro?) all around encrusted in the most gritty DM....geeez!!! super cool, and yet fun as hell!!!
| parksungjoon well the underworld at 1 is very very good. one of their top releases. similar to underworld hmmm... 97 through 100 maybe would be up your alley. floating points up there near the top of the list as well perhaps, newer s*** but v good.
| parksungjoon im not sure if you can tell from the list, but im a huge electronic head as well. altho most of the people i jive with here are more into metal. oh ye forgot holy moses, great thrash band, their first 3 albums rule very hard
| parksungjoon well it depends on what you like most. for metal probably supuration, psypheria and nasty savage. if you dig old school style metalcore, kashee opeiah and zapruder are newer bands in that vein that rule very hard and are overlooked.

| DDDeftoneDDD those 3 last singles are a must...but then you have those compilations, like Rendon..that compile all those other EP's. Pay attention to The Song of Illuminate Darkness...omfg
| DDDeftoneDDD Can't help but to notice you rated Peasant pretty well but still yet to check this narrow masterpiece - Rendon. There are a few tracks there that are Thou's toptier! **** you on Lord Mantis though
| DDDeftoneDDD Trilo buddy...the correct Teeth entry is on my list. Sorry bruh
| DDDeftoneDDD Yeah for me too, but when all tracks are bangers it gets that immediate 4 yk. Have fun. That s all x)
| Hawks Planning on it bro!
| DDDeftoneDDD It has that Slugdge songwriting epic stuff going on...the drums here are real though lol m/
| DDDeftoneDDD ma friend...in which track you get kevin hufnagel's solo? I tried to look where the specifics colabs happen and with whom and I'm finding it hard...
| Pon whom'st the heck is this imposter
| GhandhiLion ah probably this actually https://youtu.be/OyJR3_bfCuQ
| DDDeftoneDDD oh ok...I'm compromised with Kenose first...But I'm digging a lot the band and will get there for sure...its just that everything's so dense that may take some time to get there X) TKS
| DDDeftoneDDD "you?re forgetting chaining the katechon deftone my dude" I didn't get the sentence. Can you help me please lol
| Orb I have not. What kinda jams?
| Orb Check out Mycelia - Dawn. I think you'll dig it my homie! I feel like im the only person round here who jams these guys but they rule hard :]https://mycelia.bandcamp.com/
| Orb Saw them once way back when i knew dick all about music. I should jam them again tho id probably appreciate their music more nowadays.
| Orb dude you know whats up. nice sunless jam
| Orb Wise choice. The staying power of the genre's finest offerings is incomparable. The whole 0-1-0-0-0-1-0-1 breakdown stuff loses its lustre after a spell imo
| Orb good ratins' yo
