 | SlothcoreSam **** man, their 2008 album, An Evening of Bad Decisions is even better, it's got early Menzingers vibes. You heard it?
 | SlothcoreSam Just played the deluxe version of Static Radio NJ - We Are Beasts. How did I miss this one. It's so good. Thanks.
 | SlothcoreSam Love the Static Radio track, they got an album out?
 | ian b of course! i completely understand, im pretty sure we're both in a discord server together somewhere, but i couldnt find you so my @ is there is ianblxdsoe#6454 and if you wanna contact me anywhere else (except twitter which is @darknessrecords) my username on everything now pretty much is @ianbisntdead and i would love to talk to you in PMs even if it just means making a playlist cuz youve def been one of my favorite users that's still been here since i joined the site back in 2016 yknow
 | Pheromone just as a rec - i really think you'd like bad astronaut and in particular the album 'twelve small steps' it's been a great kinda masochistic comfort to me this year x
 | Pheromone merry christmas minush man see you on sputnikgaming
 | garas Hey bro! I hope you're doing okay. I wanted to text to you in discord too, but since somehow I couldn't, so here we go: I wish you happy holidays my man! I miss you, so yeah, I hope you're fine!
 | ArsMoriendi I mean we don't mind as much as you think. Other people vent in there too. We like you and enjoy your presence in good times and bad times.
 | ArsMoriendi Bro come back to the discord, we miss yah and budgie's back in there too
 | Kompys2000 Hey, sorry I'm super late on this but I hope you're doing alright, ik we haven't talked much but you've always seemed like a good dude and I really hope you're making it through this rough time without too much trouble.
 | Dedes Yeah man we all gotta check in on each other during times of tragedy cause when they come they'll be life sucking but man that's the the ebb and flow of life. Everything rebounds and there's always a better future.
 | evilford Of course man. Take care of yourself, we're all here for u
 | Pheromone ahah honestly it's probably weirder how little we talked given our music similarities - trust me though, same with you ! I'm sure our paths'll cross more - unless you keep listening to fever 333 albums ; )
 | MillionDead You didn't leave anybody hanging man! You blame yourself for too much, I think. I was just concerned about you and wanted to check in.
 | Jacquibim Only just saw what happened earlier today. My sincerest condolences, man. Much love.
 | Dedes How you been bro? Holding up well or nah?I know I've never spoke to you but anyone on this site is a bro and we ain't leave no bro's behind
 | TVC15 Hey bb I hope you're holding up ok still sending posi vibes
 | MillionDead Hey, I saw you left the chat. How're you holding up? Would you wanna text or something?
 | Pheromone From what i've seen, they definitely do know how much love them. You're real great pal, it's no worries - It'll be the toughest time but as Pots says below, we really are out here for you fam x
 | SteakByrnes hey man, I know we haven't really chatted too much but whenever we have you were always a swell dude. I'm incredibly sorry for your loss, I hope you're holding up alright.
 | Lord(e)Po)))ts Awe that's cool man, I'm sure it will be therapeutic for both you and her parents to be able to talk to / spend some time together. And sounds good, I will make a discord and figure out how it works and message you tomorrow to chat! Much love man
 | Lord(e)Po)))ts I asked everyone here to share it around as much as possible and it really worked I guess haha. Your sister even messaged me to say thanks, I got pretty choked up when I saw it tbh. Seems like you've got a lot of really solid people in your life who are rooting for you to make it through this. I will make a discord account, I have tomorrow off if you want to chat. Does the evening work for you?
 | Lord(e)Po)))ts Help you get through the next few weeks and remind you that we really out here for you fam.
 | Lord(e)Po)))ts Yes I would like to hear. Do you have instagram or anything else we can talk more privately? Also I dont know if you saw yet or not but I put up a GoFundMe so we could all scrape together a few bucks to send you to help you with rent or groceries or whatever you need most. I wanted to try and help in some way that is a little more meaningful than condolences and it seems the rest of the community is with me. Weve got $400 so far. I know money wont being her back but I hope it will at least
 | Dewinged Man... I'm so sorry, I can't imagine what you are going through right now. I have experienced loss myself not long ago, and it never fully heals, but it gets better with time. As everyone will tell you here, as crazy as this hell hole is, we are here for you dude, whatever you need, whenever you need it. Stay strong.
 | Lord(e)Po)))ts ****. Brutal. I wont pry rn while it's still fresh but if you ever want to share hmu, I'm no stranger to this kind of loss both first and second hand and might be able to shed some light or at least provide an ear. Hang in there man, one day at a time, it's never gonna be OK, but eventually it will at least be easier
 | swallowtales Thanks so much yo! We put a lot of time into those songs, so it is greattt to have them out and in the world. We are starting the beginnings of what will hopefully turn into an album now!
 | Lord(e)Po)))ts yeah man big agree, i would love to hear an instrumental version of it tbqh
 | Lord(e)Po)))ts I'm shocked at how cool the production on the new Atmosphere album is (aside from The Future Is Disgusting, that song sucks). Slug holds it back from being a 3.5 for me but Ant low-key killed it.
 | garas Hey minus!! What happened? you disappeared from discord :o
 | SlothcoreSam Hey, don't forget to give us a horror rec for your birthday
 | DaHound https://discord.gg/GbVVJc I think the other one might be expired
 | DaHound Heard you wanted into the secret club..... https://discord.gg/BxWEKt
 | SlothcoreSam Nice rating on so long thanks for the shoes. I love that colour scheme.
 | Bedex that would make sense
 | Bedex how have we literally never spoken here
 | SlothcoreSam That is the link to R.Kelly.You need to watch this whilst drinking.Soooooo good.
 | JustJoe. this is me ignoring you to your face
 | SlothcoreSam I think it's the whole band. Like the NOFX one. I'll let you know when I get it
 | SlothcoreSam Yeah, there are a couple of lyrics, that are a bit far fetched. Speaking of Bad Religion, I ordered their new autobiography, it should arrive any day. I can't wait.
 | SlothcoreSam Lol, Yeah Mr. Brett is such a good song. When I first heard it, I was taken aback, but it was too good not to like. There is a story behind it, Mr. Brett wouldn't sign them to Epitaph, I cant remember the rest.
 | SlothcoreSam In a good way? I love me some Snot, borderline melodic hardcore.
 | SlothcoreSam I'm almost ready to write a blurb for a couple of the albums. Living the Bikini Kill and P. O. S albums in particular. You should check out the new album by Tired Lion - Patterns. Got D4 vibes
 | SlothcoreSam This song is even better. https://open.spotify.com/track/0WBZJKABRYUK9gGe1csn1V?si=KMdP20imSoaex2IPY1qRTQ
 | SlothcoreSam You heard of Rebelmatic? New single is promising. https://open.spotify.com/track/7t5Z9ko6k5gHC4UTBI25sv?si=kn5vCLI_RESQmvqQ_bX5ZA
 | MillionDead That?s so cool of you to say, thanks! I definitely dig your 5?s too. Nice Fear dig btw.
 | SlothcoreSam I was thinking, give each album enough spins, that you are familiar enough to rate, and give a quick blurb. Then post that up on the list, and I will it. I've already listened to a couple, so will have a few ratings up by the end of the week.
 | SlothcoreSam I know the first 3 Killswitch albums, need to rate them. But never listened to a full album of All That Remains
 | SlothcoreSam List is up, I will think of ten albums, let me know if you know them, and if you don't know them well, i.e haven't listened through more than twice, then I will lock them in. You can list an album for any category on the list or my shoutbox, and i will let you know if I know it. 90% of what I know I have rated, so that will help. No rush but.
 | SlothcoreSam All great ideas, I will put up a list ASAP. Give you time to think of the albums you will rec.
 | SlothcoreSam Sweet, there will be no time limits, so you don't have to rush, school comes first. All you need to do first is think of 5 categories and shoutbox me them. I will think up another 5, then start a list and let you know. Then we will have to submit an album from each category. I will put them all up at once, and we can work on them at out own pace..... Listening to some smooooth hip hop atm, Felt - Felt 4 U, it's Slug from Atmosphere and Murs from Living Legends, their latest album in 11 years.
 | SlothcoreSam We could pick 5 categories each, and once we know them, I'll post up a list. Have a week to rec 10 albums to fit each category. Than give ourselves as long as we need to listen, comment and rate them all. The winner is the one who recc'd the best albums due to the overall score. Might be fun, and since we have similar taste, good way to discover new bands.
 | SlothcoreSam Hey, don't know how much time you got before you start back at Uni, but you want to do a Sloth VS Minus album rec off? Say we pick 10 categories and rec each other 1 album for each category, listen, comment then rate. Would have to rec albums we haven't heard much of. Genres could include, hip hop, 2020, 20teens, local artist, classic punk, 90s punk 2000s punk, obscure, weird, friend rec, small nation band, etc..... Let me know if you keen
 | SlothcoreSam New Album of the week to check. Shehehe - Pet Sounds. Thank me later.
 | ArsMoriendi Minus, I messed up. Your classical choice for the final round was rec'd by JohnnyoftheWell back in the classical round, so you gotta change it. It's my fault so I'm putting everything on hold til you change it.
 | SlothcoreSam Hey have you heard of Pedals On Our Pirate Ships?Their EP Come Back Home is so gooood.
 | SlothcoreSam The new Raging Nathans - Oppositional Defiance is worth checking.
 | SlothcoreSam Oi, check The Bobby Lee's new album Skin Suit. Female Fronted Blues punk by an up and coming young band. It's good fun.
 | SlothcoreSam The new Illuminati Hotties album is different from their last but great, maybe better.
 | Sharkattack Hey my guy when you get a chance I need a rec for round 4 https://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?listid=192514
 | SlothcoreSam Hey, nah I don't. You should check the new album by Pottery. It's a late 70s post punk flashback
 | SlothcoreSam Let me know which ones you liked from Pouzza. Also check the new Bad Cop Bad Cop album. It's 90 percent awesome
 | SlothcoreSam So many band at puzza i wanted to see. Propaganshi, A Wilhelm Scream, Good Riddance, Millencolin, Radkey, Proper., Stuck Out Here, Freya Wilcox, Clowns, War on Women, Kali Masi, Laureate, Nervus, Pseudo, Signals Midwest, DFL, and others.
 | Sharkattack Yo I need a rec from you for round two when you get the chance
 | ArsMoriendi Don't forget to rec something from the umbrella round! New round is tomorrow
 | SlothcoreSam Hey, Yeah I am down with the Downside EP. It's got an 80s hardcore vibe. I like the vocals, and the drumming and bass are really good. Guitar riffs are a little simple at times, but still fit well within the songs. The whole EP never lets up, and it's over before you blink. Would have been great to hear a full length. 4.2/5 so far, but might get bumbed to 4.5ish.
 | Slex He's local-ish and I know/know of people he's done disgusting s*** to, dude deserves death tbh
 | Slex Respect for calling out Pouya, guy is a repulsive human dumpster
 | SlothcoreSam And I'll check that downside EP after work, and lower you know what i think. My favorite lesser known local act when i was growing up were called One Inch Punch, changed their name to Mid Youth Crisis. But check their EP Ignorant Bliss https://youtu.be/O368SdfwI_c
 | SlothcoreSam That's great the community are coming together to support one another, and turning a brutal gross act into a communal show of strength and togetherness honoring the memory of George Floyd.I also read the city was disbanding some of the police force and looking at other options.
 | SlothcoreSam Yo, Stuck Out Here have just put out a live album. I was gonna go see them at Pozzafest before it got cancelled. How are you and the city holding up?
 | SlothcoreSam I liked that track, i need to check the earlier albums from The Brokedowns if they all are at that caliber. Thanks
 | SlothcoreSam Oi, glad you liked Freya, she has the voice to be so much bigger than what she is. And the Orphans are so much fun, i prefer then to Mischief Brew, they should have stuck with that sound.
 | ArsMoriendi I already know Rocky Mountain Raga from a previous Song of the Day. You gotta pick again. Maybe something by the same artist? :p
 | ArsMoriendi Don't forget your umbrella rec before Tuesday evening :P
 | Divaman Don't forget to vote today in the folk tournament.
 | SlothcoreSam Have you heard of The Orphans, just stumbled upon their album Raise the Youth, and it is an instant classic!!!! I can't find anything about them. https://open.spotify.com/album/7jQsxQTD70HmSzAp5ftWlR?si=op9fMOwySyC4zZfzeNTH5w
 | SlothcoreSam Heya man, just about to log into Joeys live set. Happy Lagwagon day!
 | SlothcoreSam Got a rec for you, This was my favorite song of 2017. Freya Wilcox and the Howl- Freightliner, off Tooth and Nail. Check the stripped back version on youtube, and if you like, which i think you will, check out the whole album. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STyf02XNmO8
 | SlothcoreSam Yo, are you pumped for the new Western Addiction album dropping this week?http://www.brooklynvegan.com/stream-western-addictions-new-lp-frail-bray-read-a-track-by-track-breakdown/
 | ArsMoriendi https://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?listid=191798
 | SlothcoreSam You checked the new Apathy Cycle self titled album yet? It's fun melodic skater punk.
 | SlothcoreSam Damn, that's not good, hope the victim is doing OK, and that's not cool they turned a blind eye to it. K, I'm gonna make sure it's about their music then, not going to support them any other way. Thanks for letting me know. The album is great though, and on Fat, so the production is fantastic.
 | SlothcoreSam New Days N Daze, could be the best album released this year.
 | SlothcoreSam Another fun little xylophone-garage-punk EP, just released. Crazy and the Brains Where The Juice Drips
 | SlothcoreSam Hey, I'm still waiting your rec for the punk comp.Nice rating on Augie March. The more you listen the more you like other tracks on it. Then after a year you love them all, and the album becomes a classic.
 | Divaman Remember to vote in the folk tourny today.
 | SlothcoreSam Yeah Summer of Panic is an awesome 4 track EP.Do you know the band?
 | ArsMoriendi I deff recommend all of their 80s work, including their 3 EPs
 | SlothcoreSam Check Madrigal30s bands new album. It's pretty sweet. Wasted Space-Like Summer But Colder. https://open.spotify.com/album/1gbv3nRob0e053jE2nVuaW?si=5mmWm_hcTKO34jHNY5OzBg
 | SlothcoreSam Oooh yeah, I'm digging their sound a lot. It's like a more punky rawer Fidler. Thanks mate.
 | BigHans **** that sucks. I had tickets. Did it get cancelled or just postponed?
 | evilford Oh cool. Yeah I get it. Everything isnt for everybody. Cheers
 | SlothcoreSam Got another fun album from a 90s band. Screeching Weasel- Some a freaks of Atavism. It's fun AF punk
 | SlothcoreSam I think i like their debut even better. More of a Flatliners feel, but this came out earlier.
 | SlothcoreSam Hey man, yeah it's a great album. Got Rancid, Anti-Flag and Green Day vibes, but better than anything they have done in the past 15 years.
 | SlothcoreSam I don't think I've heard Far From Finished. I'll check tonight when i get home from work. Thanks man, will let you know what i think
 | SlothcoreSam Hey negative person, trying to get a 70s punk competition happening on here. Hopefully hear some new stuff from the 70s, you are allowed to rec 3 albums.
 | SlothcoreSam You gonna like this one. March- Set Loose. Dutch female fronted punk, kinda like Mobina Galore, but a bit more of a 90s feel.
 | Lord(e)Po)))ts Word. Most of my friends and acquaintances went to central, western, or ernest manning
 | Lord(e)Po)))ts I guess it would be a lot easier to find out I'd I had facebook still lmao
 | Divaman Hey Minus, have you got a song for us this month? https://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?listid=190606
 | SlothcoreSam is this racist? https://www.sputnikmusic.com/soundoff.php?albumid=345468#206578
 | SlothcoreSam Hey man, just found another album that you will love, especially since you are a Springsteen, and Gaslight Anthem fan. This band is the Scottish version, came out last week. 13 Crowes- Solway Star
 | SlothcoreSam Yeah The Tissues atre great, and thought you would like them. I can't even remember where i found them, i listened to one track, and i was in, the rest of the album is great too.
 | SlothcoreSam Yo, Happy new year. If you got spotify check out my top 300 songs for 2019, starting at 300. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/79kgXL3eo6NCx72cxRnPUB?si=n6-yU9J9SACChYh5T7br2A
 | SlothcoreSam That's crazy the 3 people i named you have met also. Mine were all in Australia though. Wil is a friendly guy always up for a chat. I used to go to a lot of shows back home, but now i live in remote Canada, i need to fly 2.5 hours to Vancouver, and no one really tours there, so need to get a second flight to another city. Ends up costing a fortune, so usually tie in a holiday with a couple of gigs or festivals thrown in. If i lived in a city, I'd be out as much as possible.
 | SlothcoreSam I'm jealous, you get to see all these cool bands, and chat with them. I've met a few in the past few years.most notably Will from Smith street band, a couple of times, he invited me to smoke joints with him. Stef from PUP, chatted to him in my home town in Aus, was pretty cool. And a quick chat with Tom from the menzingers back in 2013 in Australia.
 | SlothcoreSam Yeah Arms Aloft is great. Like a punkier version of The Hold Steady. Gonna spin their debut next.
 | SlothcoreSam Yo, You should check the latest EP by a band called The Stifled, titled Stifled EP. Came out this year and has massive A Wilhelm Scream vibes.
 | SlothcoreSam Will do, I've heard of them before, but don't know if I've ever listened to a full album, i think i saw them open for someone. I have more time on my hands now i finished my year list, took ages.
 | SlothcoreSam lol, you can read me like a book. Maybe my end of year or decade list will surprise you.
 | SlothcoreSam Another one to check before the end of the year. Origami Angel- Somewhere City. Even got a review
 | SlothcoreSam Oi, have you heard the new Cold Wrecks' album 'This Could Be Okay. It's up there as one of the better punk albums of the year.
 | SlothcoreSam Sinner's Wine off the new Stuck Out Here, is up there for my fav tracks of the year. Hey when u saw The Eradicator, was Devon Kay and the Solutions supporting? There 2019 album Yes I Can't, is excellent.
 | SlothcoreSam Awesome man, that's one show i need to see. He sounds like he would put on a fun show. The songs are catchy AF as well
 | Divaman Have you got a song for us for the SOTD this month?
 | SlothcoreSam I wish I lived closer, I'd be there every year too. I have a list planned about it being my favorite live experience of the decade. But until then, my favourite sets were, PUP, Front Bottoms, Menzingers, The World is a beautiful place, and Patti Smith.I also went to the preshow on the Thursday, which was Rise Against, Lawrence Arms, Touche Amore and Radkey. That was awesome too.
 | accompliceofmydeath Greynier is sick. They played here last month with Modern Color, who are also sick. The bass player is in a straight edge hardcore band called Gadget, again, also sick.
 | accompliceofmydeath I stumbled across your profile and saw you're from the Twin Cities. I'm guessing we've probably been to some of the same shows. Have you seen stuff like Greynier or Marmalade?
 | SlothcoreSam Hey Minus, the new Mobina Galore album is out this week, their last album was a classic, you should check them.
 | SlothcoreSam Yeah Overgrow has old Brand New, Have Mercy vibes. It's a grower as well. If you want to check something a bit different, check The Beths- Future Hates Me. It's like a New Zealand version of Hop Along. The song Little Death, was in my top 10 songs last year.
 | SlothcoreSam Right on for checking Antighost. Everyone else is sleeping on it. Great EP.Another good EP, is the new one by Overgrow.
 | aaronrkc Nice! Yeah, plenty of bands/folks hop between there and KC.
 | swallowtales Thanks for listening! We're working on new songs at, so hopefully will have something else out later in the year if it goes according to plan.
 | MercuryToHell Thank you for giving it a listen man that's awesome! And that's a very kind score of you too!
 | Spluger I've been since I posted that comment! Such a good friendly atmosphere there. The beer is amazing too of course
 | ArsMoriendi I already know your rec, in case you missed me saying that on the thread.
 | DarkSideOfLucca Yo dude I just finished watching The Stepfather for the first time, as per your comment, and it was a really fun slasher! Don't know how that one got by me, but thanks for that, dude \m/
 | Aberf Hey, Guess what.. Kinokoteikoku is now on spotify!!!!
 | bloc Happy to share with another Thing lover dude
 | TheSpaceMan "Autolux: Pussy's Dead 4.0" ayyyy nice man glad to see!
 | pissbore why won't you listen to any of the music i rec'd to you?
 | Titan hey man, i see you added On The Rise - Burning Inside.......how are you up on these guys? the reason I ask is because I'm best friends with the lead singer and also friends with the drummer......this record is pretty rare
 | scottpilgrim10 Her newest release is Remember When unless she has another upcoming release I'm unaware of, but hopefully she'll release a new LP in a year or two.
 | scottpilgrim10 I def. prefer Say What You Mean, since nothing really tugs at the heart strings all that much on Remember When.
 | scottpilgrim10 Warped tour same as you. I'm listening to Remember When right now and the self titled track rules.
 | scottpilgrim10 The chorus to One Way Love is infectiously catchy. I still need to check out her other releases.
 | scottpilgrim10 That's still a fine choice, it is popular for a reason. Mine are I was an Island and I'll Be Okay.
