  • JohnnyOnTheSpot probably some sort of ambiguous piece... could be new or old, but maybe new would be better for potential feat- purposes. something in the musique concretey vein?

  • hal1ax ahh i haven't listened to so it's inverted in a while. i need to reacquaint myself with that one
    July 24 12:35 AM
  • hal1ax i get a sort of ambivalence from it... like for how sparse and forlorn the piece it, it also feels very warm and intimate and auspicious
    July 24 12:34 AM
  • hal1ax interesting. i can relate to that perspective in certain works... as for PAFOM, i feel as though i'm amid the inner-joke coterie... yay !!!
    July 24 12:29 AM
  • hal1ax surprised you felt so unenthusiastic about 'perhaps a favorable organic moment.' what did you dislike about it?

  • SowingSeason I'll gladly post on your behalf and credit you. That sounds like an amazing opportunity.
    May 16 07:14 PM
  • Rowan5215 I'll have to peep it, the songs I heard from Goblin and Cherry Bomb were pretty close to trash, but I've liked his verses on songs like Whoa and Golden Girl. dude can be hella funny
    May 7 04:05 AM
  • icantfukwitufukwitu I'm not sure if I want to get better either (but perhaps that's too post-modern a perspective), but ehhh. but yeah damn, i'd agree with what your saying and all that but now I feel bad cuz last night I popped an md and some of the best worst sex of my life with this short american girl
    May 6 12:43 AM
  • Rowan5215 idk just been jamming earl plus 90s stuff recently, a whole bunch of wu-tang. tried to get into tyler but he's nowhere close to earl's level sadly.
    May 6 12:26 AM
  • Rowan5215 pls feel free to hit me with any recs like that or at all tho, always looking to expand my hip hop tastes
    May 5 07:54 AM
  • Rowan5215 fvck ye, you caught up on that new samurai jack? one of the best revivals I've seen on tv tbh, adult swim is NAILING it. agreed it's that line and the 'i'm the youngest old man that you know, if your soul still alive let me know' that really get me. earl is an insanely good lyricist for someone his age. I actually have heard cLOUDDEAD but it's been a good few years now, I remember liking the ambient instrumental style a lot though (plus love for doseone from the deep puddle dynamics days)
    May 5 07:53 AM
  • icantfukwitufukwitu if my girl game as strong as i tell myself i'll keep you four breasts my lovely
    May 5 05:27 AM
  • Rowan5215 *samurai jack voice* no, no, you are the sensei... yes! earl is honestly my favourite rapper of his generation. Doris is up there for me too but goddam Solace is just so raw and unflinching and his lyrics are so heartfelt, I actually have difficulty listening to it
    May 5 04:41 AM
  • icantfukwitufukwitu only callin it my last because i think i've finally lost the love for it (and also because i'm prob goin to a mental hospital and idk if they'll give me comp access)
    May 5 03:37 AM

  • iloveyouall have medium rude sitting on my hd, need to jam it at some stage. erstwhile rarely disappoint (and the rym tags are borderline-orgasmic). stupid neverending to-listen lists... **** it, i'll jam it after class! :)
    September 5 12:30 AM
  • iloveyouall I'm down for whenever tbh. planned out my death route already, just gotta make it happen, ay. been on a mad memphis kick lately -- in the mood to worship satan and embrace nihilism. I'm in my **** da world mode.
    September 4 09:29 PM
  • iloveyouall tbh, i hate life as much as ever, but i'm trying to look past the terrible s*** in the hope that i may rediscover colour.
    September 2 01:17 AM
  • iloveyouall i loved it tbh. have only spun it a few times, but i got some real nice trapdoor vibes. easily one of the best things they've put out since the white house imo. pretty nice that you got hold of a promo copy (#nzperks). how's life treating you?
    August 31 01:35 AM
  • iloveyouall what did you think of the new dead c brutha?
    August 29 11:18 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot sure. it had a super small release though, so i can't guarantee i'll see anything
    December 11 06:46 PM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot I just found it on soulseek this morning
    December 11 06:02 PM
  • SachikoM lol. I'd recommend the second over the first, at least there's a sex swing in that one.
    October 30 06:35 AM
  • SachikoM She did in fact hire James Deen. Dude is a ****ing gun. He absolutely destroys her too, but her fake tits look kinda weird and misshapen, her performance is well under par, and it is really just self-indulgence at it's peak (I also forgot to mention she gives the worst head I've ever seen). Still, James Deen is as James Deen does and he just wrecks that pussy like he doesn't care. On the whole it is pretty poor tho. 1.5/5
    October 30 06:31 AM
  • SachikoM Thanks. It is probably one of my favourite pop (can you even call it that?) albums, just due to the intense candid emotion of it all. I don't know why it affects me so much, but it just does.... It's a bit of a shame that she went and made those two terrible pornos tho. Just when she had a good thing goin'. Big thanks for the kind words, ily2.
    October 30 06:19 AM
  • SachikoM If they get re-elected I will kill myself tbh. It's just too much...
    September 15 08:10 PM
  • SachikoM Ahhh, well that's just the thing. Sure Tony's gone, but it is still the neo-liberalist , conservative waste of a party that it always was. The problem now, is one of the future. Now that the LNP have a more credible leader, there is a greater possibility of them getting re-elected *shudders*
    September 15 01:48 AM
  • SachikoM If, when you say "is thst you Sachiko?", you mean "is that you livingthrowaway?", yes. I hate cops as much as anyone, especially Australian cops because they treat the indigenous people like second-class citizens, and then I hate Australia on top of that because it is a s***hole filled with bogan scum.....
    September 3 01:55 AM
  • SachikoM That parkway drive soundoff is ugh.
    September 2 07:37 AM
  • puntugruhm it's sad...
    July 20 01:07 AM
  • puntugruhm yeah i know whatcha's the same as on here. puntugruhm.
    July 19 10:04 PM
  • puntugruhm rym is wayyy more true to myself now. i kinda didnt know what i was doing when i first got sput but i got a 'second chance' in a way with rym. it's a fun four track ep. for sure check it. if you like, buy it off hyperdub and the proceeds go to his family
    July 19 09:04 PM
  • puntugruhm i am always blown away by it's ability to be so human, yet so isolated/gloomy feeling. your ratings are on point right now, you've got some cool taste. have you heard new dj rashad release?
    July 19 12:09 AM
  • puntugruhm yeah i know watcha mean. sorry again.loving the christiansen rating btw ;)
    July 17 07:31 AM

  • LivingThrowaway Weird as **** blog... I don't even know what their aim is tbh. The pic of the guy staring at the wall takes the cake tho.
    July 6 09:43 PM
  • LivingThrowaway My internet's been playing up a bit so I can't do it now (I'm using my phone data).. Might be able to do it some time next week though. I'm pretty sure it was on mediafire as well, so I might hunt down that link in the meantime...
    July 2 10:44 PM
  • LivingThrowaway I've double checked, and my download is definitely gently before she dies... If you got yours from slsk as I did, yours is probably also gently before she dies... I'd say your la Belle Époque is a fake, if anything.
    July 2 03:14 AM
  • LivingThrowaway Turmeric Magnitudes is pretty inconsistent tbh... Some gems on their like meadowlark, but also a lot of s***. Still, a worthwhile label to check out that's for sure. That Alo Girl thing is weird though... I might have to do some investigating.
    July 1 08:10 PM
  • LivingThrowaway I might have a go at reviewing it.
    July 1 07:17 PM
  • LivingThrowaway It's nuts.... So much feeling from something so minimal. I didn't expect them to come up with it really, especially considering the patchiness of the rest of their output.
    July 1 07:14 PM
  • LivingThrowaway I know... Some of the floatiest yet simultaneously most melancholy ambient I have ever graced my plebeian ears upon.
    July 1 02:05 AM
  • JohnnyOnTheSpot hey I heard you had access to new Herbert Distel, is that true?
    May 13 11:30 PM
  • Phlegm yeooowww, the envy of many! WELL actually quite the contrary, really been embracing the scarfie lifestyle lately.. Longboards and longer nights, Diesels and drugs.. all that cliche crap - STILL GOT TIME TO KEEP THAT VIRTUAL PRESENCE REAL THO AND THATS ALL THAT MATTERS - Northbound trip to see the whanau is on the horizon soon however, so stay posted incase i plead the need for a couch to sprawl on in W ;)
    February 26 12:47 AM
  • Phlegm to the days, matey - hope Summer treated you Well-ington =]
    February 26 12:20 AM
  • spookynewghostfriend the production isnt too similar at all they just both have bad production imo and idk i listen to Blink-182 haha
    October 24 11:55 PM
  • spookynewghostfriend hey if u like ulcerous phlegm and c.urge motivator then check out Libido airbag- knee deep =P craziest stuff ever, but i absolutely abhor the production. youd probably enjoy it tho if you can deal with that U.P. s/t lol.

  • MisterTornado mhm (those will be revealed... one day) ;)
    May 16 11:03 PM
  • MisterTornado ugh ya. i've got the album on waxx and it heightens the listening experience so much
    May 16 10:56 PM
  • MisterTornado hehe, fair enough. yaa i love the wall of noise plus barely visible black metal obscurities effect they got goin'. :oo time indeed ! ~
    May 16 10:50 PM
  • MisterTornado lately i've been into MC Vitinho raw brazilian hip-hop, Wold's Postsocial is an excellent slab of noisy black metal, and Claypipe's A Daylight Blessing paints some lovely organic desert landscapes ~
    May 16 07:39 PM
  • MisterTornado well i just ordered a cheap used copy from amazon (admittedly, it feels more urgent when its worn and battered). :O love me some liquid room heat (you should check out laurel halo's chance of rain if you haven't already, it's like that raw beat matter wrapped around a modern frame) :O haven't heard of either of those, i'll look into them ~
    May 16 07:36 PM
  • MisterTornado :3 many things i'm sure (probably somehow relating to them of a sexual nature) still in the process of reading visions of excess (lucky my copy DIDN'T have a bunch of highlighted segments and pencil marks!) ~ i'll keep you posted. what have you been listening to lately btw?
    May 14 08:53 PM
  • MisterTornado I liked your interpretation of Bob in the Twin Peaks thread, I think your pretty spot on there.
    April 23 05:00 AM
  • MisterTornado yessss! it was around 3am when i first heard it and i was dozing off a bit but then that part randomly came in and just about took me out of my chair ~
    April 23 03:10 AM
  • MisterTornado Again, that could be seen as positive (staying relevant and constantly digging up new and unheard sounds) but it can also be seen as a rejection of the past (ignorantly living inside what's relevant now). Perhaps I'm over-thinking it but I'm up and down on the idea.
    April 22 10:33 PM
  • MisterTornado Haha, it's quite a lovely place (you can bring your cigs and juice too ~). I mean mostly from the addictive element (which has its positives) but also leads to some negative effects like being compelled to listen to music that doesn't particularly interest me for the sake of canon (although I'm getting better about that). It can also lead to a kind of distorted view point, like where I'm at now with strictly listening to new music instead of branching out to past sounds.
    April 22 10:31 PM
  • MisterTornado Mhm I like that idea of prescient with these old minds having this magnificent foresight into where we're at today. I still need to check out Adorno, I'll do so after I read Visions. I agree, although I think it has its share of negative effects as well which interests me. Mhm definitely, I'll let you know. Ugh yes, the Ju Sei collab is bats***. I love it.
    April 21 09:37 AM
  • MisterTornado Same. The most traveling I've done is visiting my dad and girlfriend who live out of state. I've had some wonderful experiences on nature walks too. There's this vast woods behind my house that extends for miles and miles and its all secluded and lovely. Can't tell you how many albums I've listened to back there that have extended the music far beyond the reaches of sitting in a room starring into a computer screen.
    April 21 09:33 AM
  • MisterTornado :O those sound fascinating. can't say i've done much traveling myself (beyond nature treks and things) but hopefully one day i'll get that opportunity. do you travel alot? currently not reading anything, although i'm looking to get a copy of bataille's visions of excess. i like the philosophy behind excess and habits (think about the amount of media/art/information we take in these days [especially how much music people like you and me are taking in]) and what it says about us as individuals.
    April 21 03:27 AM
  • MisterTornado mhm your right about detour, it's best for indoor listening far as i'm concerned. because when your listening to something like detour outside (especially in a place like a park or forest) it becomes this homologous experience where its difficult to decipher between the music and the real world. for some people that'd be a romantic experience, but for others like myself it looses the depth and weight that went into the recording. mhm i feel you there, btw are you reading anything in particular?
    April 20 01:01 AM
  • MisterTornado If only I knew more about Slint =\. I went out in the forest a few days ago and I set up a lawn chair next to a tree, and was listening to Objects out there while fluttering glass blades and starring up at the sky and the endless trees. It's worth noting I had stayed up all night and was in that droopy eye'd trance state which made the whole experience all the more surreal.

  • Hep Kat yea ive heard pretty much all of his material. it's weird cuz like i was playing ghetty green while some of my boys were over the other day, and the ballers remix came on and when lil wayne did his verse none of them recognized him. it's especially funny because this kid tom my buddy brendon brought over said he's a HUGE fan of weezy, but he don't even know da hot boyz lollytrolly
