  • DarkNoctus oooh! well, agalloch and alcest are good gateways despite not being strictly black metal. after that i'd go for something atmospheric maybe, try darkspace III. maybe after go for Blut Aus Nord - Memoria Vetusta II: Dialogue with the Stars. perhaps try something symphonic too, Limbonic Art - Moon In The Scorpio. :]

  • Winsomniac Anything by Counterparts is really awesome, Caves by Elitist has a similar feel to Volumes, and uhh Controller by Misery Signals is a classic within the genre. I'm also a big fan of Means.

    May 20 04:14 AM
  • Gnocchi Recs sir?
    May 20 02:32 AM
  • Winsomniac Volumes has a lot of heavy melody to them, and Oh, Sleeper's Son of the Morning is a solid record as well. Also check out Straight Reads The Line - The Author. If you're into more chaotic and frenetic metalcore with more shouted vox than screamed, check out Stray From The Path - Make Your Own History. And my personal favorite metalcore album of all time is The Ghost Inside - Returners. See which ones of those you like, and I can do more recs based off that.
    May 19 05:41 PM
  • Winsomniac Give me an example of a band or two you enjoy and I'll see what I can do, good sir.

  • Maniac! alright. as soon as you get a chance, though, you need to get neurosis's discography.
    April 12 07:13 PM
  • Maniac! I do not know how much experience you have with post-metal, but keep in mind that it is slow and intense. You have to concentrate and get caught up in the music to appreciate it properly.
