 | fr33convict lol but yeah, it's at his house and we're just trying to get this shut tracked fast for cheap. Plus we live in Texas. He apparently IS going to master it and we do have a second opinion from a dude who has recorded quite a few things before (that sound good). But yeah get some connections going and you'll be surprised at what you find for cheap haha.

| fr33convict Yeah that was me. I haven't heard any finalized mixing yet but the completely unmixed takes I recorded my guitars over sounded pretty good already. But here's where it gets less exciting if you where looking into it. It's $15 a song because of a couple things. He's looking for experience (he wants to go to college for recording), he's good friends with everyone in the band, and it's not very professionally done. We just kinda put the mics on the drums and mixed them to where they didn't distort.

 | Spec I know what you mean for sure. I am in no way, an "expert" when it comes to stuff like this but there's a 14? Pearl Hi-Hat, I believe it comes with the Forum series. It's a fairly inexpensive one that doesn't have the cleanest sound but from what you said, it sounds like that might be what you need. You can't go wrong heading over to your local music shop and testing 'em out.
