| Inveigh I don't know if I ever proclaimed him savior, but he is a great coach as far as x's and o's go. The Knicks hit 70 percent of their 3s last night, which is just ridiculous but they were just on fire. it wasn't the defense's fault, and our offense looks 10x better this year with Thibs' system. His roster mgmt has been the only questionable thing, Scalabrine's getting like 15 minutes a game! which is wayyyyy too much

He said it was "performance based" but Rose had 23 and 14, while his backup was shooting 1 for 7. I think he forgot, and when the fans started chanting his stubborn instincts kicked in..

| Inveigh yeah but they just get voted on those because they're good for a couple of highlight defense plays a game. I've watched Wade give up 5-10 layups a game for years because he missed gambling on a steal, LBJ isn't as bad but it's the same concept. Just like Rondo, he goes for the steal all the time, gets it once out of every 10 plays and just lets his man blow by him the other 9. Celts had awesome bigs down low so it was ok, but it doesn't mean he's a great defender

| Inveigh yeah that part's confounding me. I know Haslem's a beast and Joel Anthony's a shot blocker, but I've never been high on LBJ or Wade's man-D, even if they are gamblers who compile defensive stats quickly. I'm defintely impressed, their D has been tops in the league so far

| Inveigh I don't know that the West got THAT much weaker.. The only major losses were Amare and Boozer, but Utah replaced Booz with Al Jefferson. The Clips have Blake Griffin back with Eric Gordon fresh off Team USA, the Spurs should be healthier, the Rockets got Yao back, the Mavs added Brendan Haywood to an already stacked team, if Oden's healthy Portland will be good, Hornets get CP3 back, etc. The East is pretty bad outside of the top 5-6 teams...
