 | botb Hahaha I did once. Haven?t done another full listen. It?s only dick rode here so hard because it?s so wildly accessible I think. There?s some genuinely great songs on it but it?s just soooo equal part like 2008 post hardcore to me as much as ?skramz?? saying it?s a GOAT of the genre seems so crazy. But yeah dude, thanks for not making me feel like I?m screaming into the hype void hahaha
 | Futures absolutely will be doing that man. you've gotta keep me in mind for recs for 2025 albums, i trust your taste some of the most on here lol. always the coolest stuff that's just a bit off the beaten path and interesting!
 | Futures clim brotha that frail body album is incredible. that's my kinda screamo. that and diiv dude. both easy top 10 of the year, prob both top 5. you know me so well after all these years haha!
 | Futures will be checking all those for sure, diiv i actually hadn't heard of before! frail body i kept putting off but def need to jam. glad you dug that panzerfaust album btw! and yes so beyond amped for the new whitechapel. sounds like some of their best stuff yet, exactly the direction i wanted them to go in. rare bands actually go back to a heavy old sound and still sound that good.
 | Futures same here man. that is crazy because same story here. so long without new music just the same stuff for years and years. feels so good to be back here and checking out tons of new stuff. feels right. what are some of your 24 favs? you should check the new panzerfaust out, it's like post-black metal. right up your ally i think.
 | Futures life is a battle man. but i'm glad to hear you are well. like reich said you are one of the best, a legendary user. great memories of me, you, reich, fromtheinside. seriously will never forget haha. got tons of my taste in music from those days and i'm glad to have rediscovered my passion for music this year. makes my day to see you post man! don't be a stranger, always got time for the oldheads.
 | Hawks Hell yeah bro congrats to you to!! Owning a house is not easy man lol. But it is nice to have your own s*** and being able to do/make it look how you please. Glad to hear you're getting into music again bro. Idk what I'd do without it.
 | Hawks Miss you bro. Man seems like we were friggin around on tinychat just yesterday lol. Good times. I'm good bro. Been married for 4 years now. Got a house. Adult s*** ya know lol it sucks. How you been my brother whats going on with you???
 | Futures rip plug brotha, hope life has treated you well. we had some good times back in the day.
 | unclereich Merry Christmas and blessings to you and yours man, seriously you were/are one of the real greats from this site.
 | unclereich Wow didn?t expect a response. You?re the goat man hope you?re well
 | zaruyache i prefer the s/t but even that one's really organic, but autumn eternal was probably his generally best-sounding imo
 | zaruyache he needs to bring back the riffs and make it more organic. the super blizzard s*** never worked for him.
 | parksungjoon oh yea classic era is what i meant. cuz phantonym t/t reminded me a bit of The Nine lol, like a more minimal version or something
 | JayEnder Hey, just saw your comment in the "what are you playing" list and just had to ask which Sekiro boss you had the most trouble with. Just beat it myself and dude what a BRUTAL experience.
 | YakNips i think i have it on my old computer but i thought it was on your soundcloud bro. i might have it confused with one of my old soundcloud's that i uploaded it to so i'll check those, but otherwise only place it could be is an old s***ty desktop sitting around my house somewhere. glad ur thinking about making more music tho, you should definitely do it
 | Orb the mon doesnt fck around
 | unclereich Yooo clom. Its really boring but im holding up ok. Unemployment benefits are paying super well and ill have a job when everything goes back to normal. So p much trying to find things to do. Sup with u boi
 | fromtheinside climothy! we were trying to get the band back together on plug

 | StarlessCore My bad bruh if I saw that message I would tried to find you to smoke a jay lol. Concert was off the chain

 | Kaiwaz come to my discord dude
 | Orb https://tsuruda.bandcamp.com/album/internet-slaps-vol-1
 | Orb Its solid. Definitely some choice cuts in there. Peep the new Razat album on Saturate Records too. Its free on bandcamp and slaps tiddies harder than a freight train.
 | Orb its a lifestyle choice bro!
 | StarlessCore how u not know about the vitus shows for converge u MESSED up
 | Orb Yeah dawg cousin litt is an OG!
 | nocuffin nm bb doll. jus sloggin through the day-by-day, as ever.
 | mindleviticus thanks man. I appreciate it! How's everything going btw?
 | Futures would love to see a paul/whatever progressive election. instead of bs in the debates there would be a philosophical discussion about what the role of government is. i think that would be fascinating to watch.
 | Futures man that's refreshing to hear! ron paul is indeed my hero, such a principled guy idk how anybody couldn't at least respect him. would you vote for rand paul in 2020 if he ran?
 | Futures could've sworn you voted stein/were a leftie haha. my bad man.
 | Relinquished idk man I'm all for civility but it's not hard to see the true guises
 | bach You already know I been gazin on the low son
 | bach Going through like the worst break up ever but I'm trying not to let it consume me. Have to admit I feel fairly empty
 | bach how u been old frienddd
 | StarlessCore hahaha nah one of my best friends hasnt been able to go to shows. dillinger back to back gonna be epiccc
 | StarlessCore my other buddy couldnt go to webster show so now im seeing dillinger the night before in poughkeepsie. HYPE
 | StarlessCore we'll meet at dilly 4 sure. and yea lemme know about guts im going with my brother and friend so far, then after that is ULCERATE
 | demigod! fukkin kraft punk kills me every time
 | Frippertronics u traitor it hasn't even been two years yet and you already changed yr profile pic
 | StarlessCore ayy you better go to that gorguts show october 30. gonna be LIT
 | coneren NOTHING LIKE SUCKIN AN OL DIRTY COCCK
 | iloveyouall oh and ofc ofc, xinlisupreme - tomorrow never comes
 | iloveyouall mmkay mmkay (i'll try to keep em melodic, but this is noiz, so i can't fully guarantee). the vomir and tanner garza collab would be an obvious starting point, wold - working together for our privacy, skullflower - desire for a holy war, kevin drumm - sheer hellish miasma (and maybe relief), aaron dilloway - modern jester (not so much fuzzy, but definitely melodic in some capacity), and maybe for some not so noisy stuff perhaps cremation lily - lovers against the rocks and exitus - terminal
 | StarlessCore for ulcerate? i gotta get ticks for that, gorguts/intronaut, wolves in the throne room cloud rat
 | coneren YEAH THIS BLACK HEART OF MINE IS STILL BEATING
 | p4p remember me now clim? ;_;
 | Spacesh1p Yo man how was the show? I don't want to know the set list, just curious what you thought.
 | p4p do u still remember me ;_;
 | p4p s*** that was for fti but idk why i posted that in ur shoutbox
 | p4p dude dont go
 | hal1ax ya just save as much as u can. u will be fine on that pay, i mean, u won't be livin lavishly but you'll be chill. and ya i feel u, I've lived in LA for 27 years ! haha.
 | hal1ax santa monica. ya i mean if u have a dece job u will be fine. it's just hard for me cuz i have to pay for school / rent / and my stupid ass car so, ya adds up. LA is fine tho, I've just lived there my whole life so I'm pretty over it. amoeba records is so dope tho, u will have to go there when u move
 | brainmelter no way dude, the mix is really great actually. i was driving around with some friends last night real faded and they were really digging it a lot too, my bandmate in particular really liked the drumming. The Valley is a f uckin jam
 | brainmelter oh wow dude I had no idea, that's ****ing lit!! good s*** man, it was a pleasant surprise for me. I don't really care for the djenty bits but I really dig the sound.
 | ftinside You're the last nigga I'm writing. Farewell brother. And not farewell from the web but... Yeah. I've let alcohol do me in. I hope you stay strong with BOO and all that space core s*** :P. Those plug nights man. ****. I might have to jam Jane doe one last time. At least home wrecker and ****ing thaw. Never take them shorts off dude. I hope you write more fun metal core with breakdowns every second. **** climothy I still miss your ass. Take care man. Much love
 | StarlessCore yeah if I get there early enough and they havent filled. i hate those type of shows. Im gonna take a half day at work and hopefully get there and not get shut out hahaha
 | emester Since what you have are planar magnetic headphones, which dont have a traditional diaphragm creating the sound but instead use magnets, burn in will do very little.
 | emester Awesome to hear that you enjoy them! Headphone burn in is a touchy topic when it comes to most audiophiles where some say that it is integral to achieving the desired sound of the headphone whereas others feel the claims are essentially snake oil. Personally I'm on the more skeptical side of the coin and feel that while there are some changes, they usually are very minute.
 | hal1ax The Sputnik meme generator
 | StarlessCore i live in the town of ramapo technically lol. mahwah is legit just suffern or vice versa
 | StarlessCore ah dope. i know where glen rock is. im gonna be moving to downtown suffern (ny) soon. Ill be able to walk to mahwah from the house, its right on the border. st vitus i havent been to but ive been seeing who plays there and i will definitely end up there at some point haha
 | StarlessCore hahaa omg hysterical. i work in northvale now. what town exactly?
 | StarlessCore didnt u say u lived near me or something once? where at again?
 | Frippertronics TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUSSSSSSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAINT
 | emester Also depends on what you currently have for home use. If its an Audio Technica M50, then hell ****ing yes
 | emester If you are patient enough for them to ship in august, then without a doubt yes. They arent planar like most of their other headphones but the model these are succeeding were very highly regarded. Just fyi, you would really benefit from a headphone amp with these as they are 50 ohm which is a little bit much to full benefit from an on board sound card.
 | Frippertronics yes, no, maybe...i don't know. can you repeat the question?
 | Frippertronics nearing the two year mark on that profile pic dog, what's gonna be the replacement?
 | hal1ax dude yesssss. third law is one of my favs of the year for sure
 | Gyromania yeah same here dude. i mean why would you want to subject yourself to such a bad sounding rip? that's no way to experience the album for the first time!
 | onionbubs one of them said theyd buy me lunch but i dont see nobody taking me to chick fil a
 | Trebor. cool dude. You should hit me up while you're out here
 | Trebor. sweet dude, what part of Cali? Life's been up and down but I wagging in there
 | Trebor. Dude Clim what's happening?
 | bach yeeeah man. that was when like 5 dudes jumped nicky and literally almost beat him to death. i read about it in an interview s*** is crazy. and sweet imma try to catch em in b-more
 | bach i love em. they are touring in the summer tho. check their fb pretty sure they released a bunch of dates
 | bach it slaps so much i wish they'd do a full length but the new nothing album will have to do
 | bach i love merchandise. if you haven't checked out iceage for sure listen to their latest album it can get pretty noisey. check out Weekend's Red EP and their debut sports. death of lovers is pretty tight too. it's sounds a lot like pornography era cure with some into the mix but it's the side project of nick bassett and nicky from nothing and whirr so i recommend it.
 | bach damn sounds like a great time. and for sure man i feel the same way. i was kinda going through a rough patch last summer with a break up so school kinda forced me not to dwell on it or fall into old habits. i would even say it's made me happier to a degree. and hmm lemme see what i got and i'll shoot u some recs
 | bach dude same here. i be on that school/work grind too it's a tough one to be on. it'll all pay off one day though. and that ****in slaps man i would kill to see OPN. and u kno me i'm always gazin, gothin, and grindin (triple g for short). lots of LSD and the search for god, pig destroyer, cure, mbv, cocteau twins, etc.. and yeah cant wait for spring break either. gonna drop acid with my team it's gonna be sic
 | bach i can't complain how bout you? whatchu been listenin too lately? i'll hit u up on fb here soon
 | hal1ax ohhh nice burial-kindred rating. will u adopt me???
 | hal1ax good question. lets b friends starting now!
 | SachikoM well, i've actually already done 1st year maths (through an accelerated program), so my 1st year workload should be pretty easy... i'm moving into sydney to study (which is a 7 hour drive away from home), so it'll be interesting to see how i cope, but in all honesty, the new opportunities it will open me up to make it really exciting for me. if i'm lucky, i might be able to nab a scholarship or bursary payment from the uni as well, which would make my life really easy. what are you studying?
 | SachikoM swell tbh! i've graduated high-school, and now i'm out working a lot to make some money before i head into the city for uni next year. i'm looking forward to it - i'll be living on my own, i'll meet heaps of new people, and hopefully get to go to some more gigs... i've been going to post-exam parties as well, so it has been heaps of fun. hopefully going to start reviewing a bit more and catching up on music i've missed. where are you working? somewhere nice i hope.
 | ftinside same man. i pop in to see what's up with music news and whatnot. lifes been crazy these last few months dude, i was planning this huge move back to san diego but that ultimately fell through and now i'm just working like a slave relishing the few hours i get for sleep and wanting to get away on a southwest trip somewhere and retire already :P what about you
 | ftinside i know man :( where's the chat hub now that plug is dead
 | Frippertronics great to see you have that profile pic nearly two years later, climothy
 | SachikoM Good stuff!!! Tell me what you think of it, I'll be interested to hear what you think.
 | SachikoM Did you end up checking any of that sweet ambient/drone stuff?
 | SachikoM You're telling me? The number of times people have had a go at me for giving their favourite album a 2 is beyond count at this stage....
 | SachikoM Sometimes I wonder if it's all worth the hassle.
 | SachikoM Seeing as you have no ratings (and I imagine you don't rate anything here), do you have rym?
 | DatBeefPudding **** man, read your BoO the discovery review, and i have to say it was a super fun read.
 | someguest Oh yeah, I've alive. I spent some time out in California. Maybe later this week we can get some plug in.
 | Hep Kat yeah, i wound up going with my friend Amanda instead of my wife. it was awful. i didnt get home until almost 5 in the morning and i had to work the next day. fortunately i'm still recovering from hip surgery, so i don't have to do anything other than paperwork, but yeah, overall, pretty s*** show. palisades is an awful venue. i shoulda gone to the one in philly instead, even though i don't like johnny brenda's much better
 | fromtheinside That was the prettiest thing anyones ever said to me :_)
 | p4p you are beautiful no matter what they say
 | fromtheinside dude i have a ****ed up story to tell u. u wanna plug later?
 | unclereich nah but ill be in LA for the second weekend and i live in cali man
 | unclereich dude let's try to meet up and i didnt know you like children of god ive seen em live two times
 | unclereich ssmokekkkeked agree with the guy beneath me
 | controlled we need to party soon. long time no see no speak no hear : (
 | Rowan5215 yo hit me up with your fb profile dude I'm leavin these parts
 | bach whirr really came into their own with sway like holy s*** band slaps too hard
 | bach stuck on youuuuuu
 | Thibs http://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=1041506
 | fromtheinside yeah new album is good. i've actually been working on a review for it
 | Relinquished by endurance we conquer is definitely one of my favourites off theirs. idk about concise cuz there's basically a 10 minute difference discounting both albums' interludes. I love Summit - heard it the same year it came out, good times Turntabling with it. but Heathen to me sounds more grandiose and DANK. I love my dank sludge and drone.
 | Wizard It's not much different than their last record but I think it certainly riffs a bit harder. Also, how the heck do you not love Spectre off Dustwalker?
