 | tiesthatbind Yeah, that song was worse than the majority of their discography, and since they usually release great singles, not lookin' too good. I least hope there's some solos.

| tiesthatbind This Dark Day is my #1 as well, it's the lyrics that I like most about it. Yeah, I know what you mean, I do appreciate the more raw sound of the old material and Paul's vocals back then. As much as I liked Anthem for the Underdog, seems they're getting pretty ballad-heavy and radio-friendly, his voice honestly isn't really suited for that.

| tiesthatbind Haha rant away, I don't care. But yeah, that pisses me off to no end when just because people hate a band they refuse to recognize that that band might have made good songs, my biggest pet peeve as you may have noticed is the endless bashing of Nickelback when they've obviously got talent for catchy melodies even if a lot of their stuff IS generic, and have written some great hard rock tunes in the past.

| tiesthatbind True dat. You're never going to agree on all music taste, so it's best to look for common ground and build from there. If I see 2-3 artists in a list that I like, I'll comment on that, I'm not going to bash the other 7 that I don't like.

| tiesthatbind Yeah, I'm actually pretty surprised that I've found as many cool users as I have in 6 months, goes to show that you don't have to conform to the attitude and taste of the majority in order to get involved here.

| tiesthatbind Yeah, I actually think MJ's a pretty cool dude now, he had a creative way of rising in the ranks of Sputnik. Someguest...yeah, I try not to think negatively of most users but he makes it difficult. I like this site because it allows me to talk more intelligently about music than I would in my real life. Too many people on here just won't respect other opinions, which makes it zero fun even having a discussion in the first place.

| tiesthatbind The overall negativity and elitism would've made me leave this site (or troll it) if there weren't level-headed users like yourself/Sowing/etc... At times it feels just slightly more intelligent than a YouTube comment section on here, despite how smart everybody thinks they are.

| tiesthatbind Geez, that's pretty harsh. They're doing a crackdown on that sort of stuff, but they've gotten pretty carried away. I mean, deleting lists of favorite Sputnik users? That's pretty retarded (although the almighty Chan reporting them was even more so).
