 | Enotron And the fact that you say they don't find the need to "expand the genre" shows that they are under an emo guise. Bands shouldn't have to take the genre under consideration.

| Enotron That's bulls***, so many are blatant kinsella rip-offs. I like skramz way more than general emo.

| Enotron But it's pretty true to a certain extent. A lot of emo bands don't even attempt to develop a distinct sound. And those types of bands are more prevalent in the emo genre than most other non-mainstream genres.

| Enotron "you clearly adore" lol not really most of them I either have at a 3.5 or haven't listened. I generally prefer bands who don't try to sound like a genre.

 | SeaAnemone really? cool, near me? I would look into it but a. I WAS gonna go to a free show Saturday a few blocks from me... Algernon Caldwallader, 1994!, Snowing, Spires, and Grown Ups... would have been epic, but it looks like I won't due to a track meet!
