 | Meatplow theres plenty of other material to dig up see how you go with that. good to see you enjoyed that Bill Cosby album, too
 | Meatplow welcome back. neofolk, well. you need some Current 93 and Death In June if you don't ASAP, I would recommend Thunder Perfect Mind, Swastikas For Goddy, All The Pretty Little Horses for the former and Brown Book, Burial and Scorpion Wind for the latter. After that, Sol Invictus - Lex Talionis, Fire Ice - Hollow Ways, Nature

 | Bulldog dude you cant leave me. :(at least drop me an aim or something dude
 | Psilocyanide Lol modding the hip hop forum? Don't be ridiculous. I got banned in community.
 | BSX You're welcome all of them are streaming on myspace except for Jewel's Pieces of You, but you should be able to find it used or at a very low price wherever you buy your cds.
 | BSX Fiest, Jewel's Pieces of You and Goodbye Alice in Wonderland, Madonna's Music(tracks 4-7 and 10) and American Life(tracks 4,6-8 and 11), Nelly Furtado's Whoa Nelly! Cat Stevens esp Tea for a Tillerman and Teaser and the Firecat. LOL I posted this on my shoutbox by mistake. xD
 | Bulldog look at my paul review.4.5/5
 | BSX "Good pop" is kind of vague are you looking for something folk/guitar-driven, electro, or R
 | BSX Well I'm glad you found at least band/singer I rec'd.
 | Deviant. Its all debatable, tempo and style are close enough to Dubstep
 | Deviant. My bad, try this one: http://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=251894
 | Deviant. Just scroll down the list until you see what I said
 | Deviant. http://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=251894
 | Meatplow well since you dig hip-hop, try The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy's Hypocrisy Is The Greatest Luxury and SMP's Stalemate. I would suggest getting Ministry and Nine Inch Nails for some industrial metal, Psalm 69 and The Downward Spiral respectively are typical starting points and usually start people off on the right foot. After this, KMFDM - Nihil, Frontline Assembly - Tactical Neural Implant, Skinny Puppy - Too Dark Park, Numb - Blood Meridian. If you like, hit me or user Willie up for more;)
 | BSX Hey did you listen to any of the recs I gave?
 | Bulldog You've been a great poster thus far, and (what I would consider) a good friend to me on the site, but you're just now realizing the flaws and hypocrisies of Sputnik. If that list was about female metal artists, and not female African-American artists, you would have been in the clear.
 | Deviant. Do an image search with safe search off
 | kirktastic you're right but still posting stuff like that is bound to get some backlash from some users and some of the stuff posted on this site is incredibly pointless
 | kirktastic you did the same thing to someguest and emim, and you're right, i was being ignorant and flat out stupid, but at least i can admit that fact, i'm reporting both of us to the mods, cuz both of us are being idiots
 | kirktastic cuz i don't think black women in general are attractive, but if I recall i said beyonce and halle berry were hot, i generalized which in hindsight i prolly shouldn't have done, but when you poo-poo everyone elses opinion who said it in a non-racist manner, that's how you come off as ignorant
 | kirktastic and i post the same complaints in their list as i did in yours, and i don't think you're racist at all for all the black chicks, but when you don't wanna hear the other side of it, it makes you seem incredibly ignorant and come off as someone with racist tendencies
 | kirktastic "It was about musicians, and therefore, relates to music."
so saying their hot has everything to do with how talented they are? explain to me how that relates to music in any way shape and form. when tiger woods got caught cheating, did you immediately say that has everything to do with golf?
 | Bulldog Lists don't have to be about music, they have to relate to music. It was about musicians, and therefore, relates to music. And I am currently unaware of a way to block people.
 | kirktastic i failed to see anything about how good they were at singing, all i saw was stuff like Beyonce had a nice ass and lil kim was pretty before her surgeries, i fail to see the music there, just cuz you include artists and musicians in your list doesn't mean its about music
 | Bulldog Don't listen to kirktastic. It was about African-American female singers. I believe commenting on the attractiveness of black female musicians would, in fact, belong on a site about music.Sputnik is hit-and-miss when it comes to dealing with things like this.
 | kirktastic you changed the title and simply included black artists, but said nothing about their abilities as singers and instead talked about their looks, so yea there was no music whatsoever in that list
 | kirktastic dude stop posting dumb stuff like that, it has no business being on a site about music
 | Bulldog How would it be racist? You referred to several African-American women as attractive. Are you black?
 | illmitch i've never really listened to much no limit. whats a good place to start?
 | Trundle yeah man Ras Kass is sick, Check out Saafir, him and Kass collab a lot. And Long Live The Kane is a classic, I'ma check out that Pete Rock and Cl Smooth album you mentioned, I haven't really ventured into them yet and I might as well start now.
 | Trundle hey Yeah, I used to be all about them, but like i said, it's entry level hip-hop, there's so much out there that's better. What hip hop are you diggin nowadays? Right now I'm diggin, Big Pun- Capital Punishment, Fat Joe - Jealous One's Envy, Big Shug- Street Champ. The last one is a pretty solid hip-hop album by 2007 standards.
 | JulesWin why thank you, your taste isn't bad either. props for all the old-school hip-hop love
 | JulesWin lol! it's fuuuurious anger! btw
 | cirq whenever you pass the blunt.
 | Bulldog I actually thought about doing that once. Decided against it.
 | Bulldog I don't really like the concept of having an alt, to be honest.
 | Bulldog no problem bro :)
he knows me too well to know that would be a troll. also, i did a conceptual/joke review for lil wayne's rebirth.
 | Bulldog Okay, NONE of them have reviews. On your first review, I wouldn't go for funny, I'd just go for the basics. But, you're a funny dude, and I think you can pull it off, and if that's what you wanna do, you should definitely go for it.
 | Bulldog Well, as a new reviewer, you might want to review material you're familiar with, but also doesn't have a review. (E.G. I did Mystic Stylez)
 | Bulldog Well...what (if anything) do you have so far?
 | Bulldog Would you like help with your first review?
 | dopeneil1 Yeah was looking at The Main Ingredient by them and I did a sound off ages ago I think it still hasn't been reviewed.
 | Bulldog lol. your pie chart is epic.
 | dopeneil1 I'm really not sure yet, but thinking about it. How about you dude?
 | Iai Honestly, I heard OK Computer. It all spiralled out from there. Before that all I really like was hip-hop, soul, trance, and house. It wasn't even really a natural progression, that just came out of nowhere and blew the doors wide open.
 | BSX You're welcome
 | Bulldog http://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=430154
 | BSX Check out Anthony Green, As Tall As Lions, Bjork, Klaxons, The Raconteurs, Fleet Foxes and Incubus (start with their earlier cds then work your way up). Most of the recs I listed have their cds streaming on their myspace pages.
 | BSX LOL well in that case thanks. Grew up listening to soul and hip hop because that's all my parents would allow. Got into dance/electro and alternative music on my own with some help from Sputnik. ^^ If you want any recs just let me know.
 | BSX Just have to be open to listen to anything and rate albums objective as possible.
 | Deviant. Cheers man, not to bad yourself
 | Bulldog symbols mess up more often than not
 | Bulldog That's the problem. I hate singing like 95% of the time. And it's more about sex, love, heartbreak, and buying girls a bunch of s*** (that, in my opinion, they don't deserve.) Also, beats are more gentle, mushy, and posh than hip-hop (need moar bass)
 | deliberately i think so, i'm not really sure. i got sick of it so i stopped logging in for a few days. hopefully people will be nicer now.
 | deliberately some people are very rude, others are nice. you seem cool, so, cheers
 | deliberately i am, just joined yesterday. how do you like it here?
 | illmitch hmmm it depends. their earlier stuff has more fast, talented rapping, with dark beats, the best place to start for that is Mystic Stylez or Da End. with their later stuff, the good rappers left the group but the beats only got way better. honestly i halfway prefer the later stuff, a great album for that is Most Known Unknown (which is where the songs that everybody knows - Poppin My Collar and Stay Fly - are from).
 | Bulldog But you know, when you're starting out...A) Review as much as possible, B) Accept all constructive criticism, and C) Have funHope I've been helpful. I'm looking forward to your first review, if you'd like me to proof it, just drop me an email at smash.mouth33@yahoo.com
 | Bulldog Don't get me wrong. You should always review if you want to. I'm all for it, it just might make some people angry if there's always a bunch of reviews. The only time you shouldn't review an album that's already been reviewed is...When that review is better than what you will do and their rating is the same as yours, AND the review is accurate and justifying (all at the same time). Really the only time you shouldn't review an album. Just advice. My personal opinion has always been..FIRE AWAY :D
 | Bulldog (sorry for these three long ass shoutbox posts, read them from top to bottom)Need anything else, just drop me a shoutbox post buddy!
 | Bulldog Hey man. First and foremost, welcome to the site, hope you like it here and stay for a long time! I'm Bulldog, the unofficial resident hip-hop reviewer (please don't read that as if it were arrogant, snotty, etc. because it's not, it's rather humble) Don't be fooled by my pie chart, that soul section is bulls***, and I never listen to anything but rap really (unless I'm forced.)If you're going to review, don't review things staff members or contributors have reviewed (especially if you're new
 | Bulldog to reviewing, because they will just eat you alive in comparison, even I try to stay away from that.) And also, don't review things other people have reviewed. You can, but people will bitch and say "THIS HAS ALREADY BEEN REVIEWED WHY'D YOU DO IT." Personally, I'm not against it, rather, all for it, especially if it's hip-hop. Review new stuff, old stuff, and have both negative and positive reviews. (People are picky here) and definitely don't do track-by-track reviews. People HATE those
 | Bulldog On a more personal note. I see that your name is a reference to a Lupe Fiasco album. :D It's also AWESOME you're going to review hip-hop, because there are really only three people who review it on a consistent basis. The trio of hip-hop reviewers includes me, hydeyomoney, and Somberlain. kingsoby1 is a staffer but only does it every so often for indie artists and highly anticipated (by Sputnik members) releases. The more hip-hop reviewers the merrier! If you need a proofer, I would be happy to.
