| TigerShark277 i think wha Ross22 had said pretty much covers it, but your concept of 'rationalizing the changed meaning of the word' is probably the best counterpoint i've heard. Perhaps all intelligent, straight, non-homophobic males look through a certain lens that precludes them from seeing that the word's use is actually as damaging as, say, the n-word, and thus should remain tabboo. I don't think this way (yet), but i'll mull it over. It's a shame the mods are so short-sighted and intolerant.

 | Inveigh I'd say check out: Have Heart - The Things We Carry, Bad Religion - No Control and Minor Threat - Complete Discography. For stuff a little more on the post-hardcore/metalcore side, check out: Poison the Well - You Come Before You, Shai Hulud - That Within Blood Ill-Tempered, Fugazi - End Hits, Thrice - The Illusion of Safety and Botch - We Are The Romans. I rec'd some of those the other day, but definitely check them out man (especially Thrice, Poison the Well, Bad Religion and Minor Threat).

| Inveigh Yeah man, Ignite's awesome. I used to listen to them back in the 90s and didn't know they were still putting out albums until recently.. Our Darkest Days is just damn catchy. Verse's Aggression is probably my other favorite modern hardcore release after Promises Kept by Champion. I'll take a look at your ratings real quick and see if I have any other recs for ya man.

| Inveigh Hah, yes, but not really. I was about to type, "that'll do for now" or something dumb like that when I was reminded of the movie Babe, where Donald Sutherland's talking to Babe and says "that'll do pig, that'll do" in what at the time was like supposed to be the understatement of the year (the pig had just done something epic I think). So, to answer your question...sorta, but not really.

 | SlightlyEpic Yeah, you might not like the stuff at first but give it time to grow on you, sometimes it takes time to realize how great something is. Also, sorry if it's a bit much I have a tendency to go overboard when it comes to recommending stuff.

| SlightlyEpic If you don't know then I advise listening to some of the essential screamo albums to get a feel for it, since I'm pretty sure you're mislabelling what you think is screamo. | SlightlyEpic When you say you're not into screamo do you mean the faux-whiny post-hardcore 'fake screamo' or 'real screamo' otherwise referred to as 'skramz', because I'm talking about the latter.

| SlightlyEpic You're more than welcome! I'm really glad you like them, it's always nice to get people into music. I'm pretty familiar with screamo and the modern hardcore scene (I've yet to familiarise myself with the older stuff) so if you have any questions or want any screamo/hardcore recs feel free to ask or something.
