I'm sure you've heard OF most of these, at least---Elliott Smith - Either/Or (like Sea Change, but better)The Strokes - Is This It? (for White Stripes but more indie oriented)Brand New - The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me (you've probably heard this maybe?)Sunny Day Real Estate - Diary (yes, it's 'emo,' per se, but it has a very grunge feel you might like)

| SeaAnemone (thanks for the reply) and really, it's not at all really a matter of 'your bands being s***ty' I realize that taste is subjective and I'm not about to go off on ANYone based on their personal preference... that's silly. it's just that it seems like you don't listen to anything outside of cliche rock norm, and that's what inspired my guess, is all.

| SeaAnemone [pt 2] ... against you, that's what Sputnik's for... just try to find as much new music as you can here and branch out. listen to things highly acclaimed here even if they're outside your comfort zone and eventually your taste will evolve. just my advice... don't take me too too seriously.

| SeaAnemone im not trying to be a dick dude... like I said you listen to more music than I did at that age. but yeah, it's not as much that your music is overwhelmingly s***ty (cept for Tool, ACDC, and personally, The White Stripes), it's just the fact that they're INCREDIBLY CLICHE. like, this is the stuff that 13 year old kids like before they branch out and start finding good music, hence why I was able to guess (near) your age pretty easily... that and your comments, obviously. but dude, nothing...

| SeaAnemone to answer your question in the list in a more private setting--ummm, no offense dude, but you do realize that like all the music you like is incredibly popular mainstream stuff... not ALL bad (some of it) but definitely very underdeveloped compared to most taste here. and seriously, don't take it personally-- I knew absolutely nothing about music before I was 16
