| Adabelle Up for fantasy football? I remember you did it last year or the year before. ANyway, code is 1661197-367139
| Eclecticist Hey just a reminder, don't forget to rate the Gottesmorder EP
| KILL ah that worked thanks, dling now holy s***
| KILL thanks but it says page not found :(
| Sowing would you mind writing a very brief (5-10 sentences) summary/soundoff for the song you chose for the sputnik playlist? i think the feature would look a lot better with writing. if so, please let me know and email it to sowingsputnik@gmail.com. thanks again for being a part of things!
| X3ni92 I completely forgot why I said that...
| Deviant. It's nice and soothing, not the greatest thing ever but still a good listen
| Deviant. Are you referring to their debut lp that came out in June? Because that's the last thing I have from them
| Hawks Haha I'm getting it now.
| Voivod If you liked The Devil's Blood, i would suggest that you listen to a new band called Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats (track them down at the stonerobixxx blog). They are even more vintage than TDB, though equally awesome.
| clercqie Why is the new dEUS only a 3 if I may ask? I personally think it's the best they've done since In A Bar...
| Hep Kat thrice link. give it to me plz. i am slacking
| nnnope thanks heaps for the hip hop recs. really enjoying Viktor Vaughn. I've heard Operation Doomsday, Take Me To Your Leader and Dangerdoom but none of them have excited me as much as Madvillainy...but this is getting close! Thanks!
| Jozh Stop trying to get my list taken down.
| Wizard Indian a 2? WTF that album crushes childrens dreams.
| Voivod and Jag Panzer's music on the new album is way way better.
| Voivod I have a question: How is it possible to give to the new Hell album a 4/5 rating and the new Jag Panzer a 2.5? Hell's singer is terrible and Jag Panzer is way way better.
| wyankeif1337 thanks. i dunno, but that's one of the only albums that i have not, for some reason, been able to locate.
| mvood thanks man, appreciate it. I feel stupid now.
| lancebramsay You should read my review for the sheepdogs, it will give you a good sense about the albums sound. Not sure if you are a classic rock/southern rock fan...? If you are, sheepdogs will be a great listen.
| Yazz_Flute If it were released as another "Brandon Boyd" album I would prefer it to "The Wild Trapeze" definitely. It's just so strange as a full-band effort because it sounds like he had complete creative control over it. Some of the lyrics are really cringe-worthy by the way.
| Yazz_Flute I do have to admit that I've been growing more fond of it with repeated listens. I'm just trying not to think of it as an "Incubus" album per say. It's basically 11 well-written pop songs with cheesy lyrics for the world's soccer moms. The single is definitely one of the highlights, but I also liked Defiance and Isadore. The last song is pretty interesting too.
| Yazz_Flute Yeah, that's exactly what I thought. First listen through all I could think about was how much it sounded like a second Brandon Boyd solo project. What happened to the rest of the band? Boyd is really the only factor keeping it going.
| Yazz_Flute What did you think of the new Incubus album?
| Maniac! thanks for the buttload of recs
| Ire boris - new album 2.5. ya u would
| BigHans Dude Dirty South and Decoration Day both rule hard. Brighter Than Creations Dark and a Blessing and a Curse are both pretty damn good too, both are way better than The Big To-Do and Go-Go Boots.
| BigHans Are you a Drive-By Truckers fan? Was about to add the new album and saw you beat me to it. I'm a bit disapointed by it.
| xenocide. You can rate Flapjack - Juicy Planet Earth now, I've added it.
| Sowing yeah i started to stream it earlier today but i never got to finish because of new years festivities...im listening to the rest of it now, will probably have a review out tomorrow night
| BigHans you havent rated it yet though. Im on a personal quest to get it to 100 ratings
| BigHans So when are you going to 5 Latterman?
| Hawks I think I love you for that.
| Jethro42 Yes, my second rec features my fav drummer, Jojo Mayer. that's weird you can't listen to the other one: Mahavishnu Orchestra Eternity's Breathe part I and II
I hope you can find it. Billy cobham is an helluva powerful drummer too.
| fouxdufafa What album is your profile picture atm?
| Maniac! Tank yu for the recs. I'll start with oceansize
| DoctorVelvet Out of curiosity, why did you rate The Great Escape a 2.5? Can you provide me with a mini-soundoff? Because I'm really enjoying it and I'd like a perspective from the opposite viewpoint.
| Maniac! yeahhhh.... I love her so much lol
| Maniac! very much appreciated, but you're about 2 minutes too late :)
| Dave de Sylvia Just to let you know I transported your Incubus news report over to the blog - seems a more appropriate place. Thanks for submitting it!
| Kind of Blue is a pretty average record dude, I agree with you
| BigHans Sorry I forgot to mention a fellow MMM'r. Fixed.
| cvlts cool profile pic bro
| dnor Patagonian Rats DL - http://www.mediafire.com/?zzuxadjeze2hj9z
| Meatplow no no i'll go in and fix all that up if you want, just say when you are done with adding albums in the thread
| Meatplow completely unfamiliar with the word "deion" and google isn't helping much but if you mean tracklist, no it isn't. still, it doesn't take 30 seconds to check on RYM or discogs and copy and paste a tracklist so I do it (don't bother about formatting if it looks funny with spaces BB code can automatically adjust it on submission)
| Meatplow hey man just wondering if you are still working through those artists listed in the database thread
| Inveigh mmm I'd say Lucy Ford and Sad Clown Bad Dub II are the next best, but a lot of people like Seven's Travels better (all of those are great). If you like more lyrical hip hop, go for Lucy Ford or Sad Clown II, if you're more interested in the beats, go for Seven's Travels -- it's more musical and has more variety
| modernsextrash varia may make you wanna dig even deeper that penumbra considering its a remix project stretching back to our first record!
| Yeahtoast Dude, Slightly just gave me the same link on the list and it's downloading as we speak! Thanks for telling me about it anyway man, pretty badass of you :)
| modernsextrash heyyy, you commented on our "penumbra" review. wanted to let you know that we have a new remix album out, free download, 16 tracks.everything from dubstep to techno to ambient, check it out: http://modernsextrash.com/download/varia.htmlthanks for the support =)
| chambered89 hey man just wanted to say good call on the 4.5 for Fake History
| StrizzMatik Here you go http://www.mediafire.com/?ww0tmzyi5gd
| SlightlyEpic Glad you liked them! And yeah I feel much the same about Lady Radiator, I just figured you might like them.
| Bandido Also I'm glad you liked that Deep Purple album cause they don't get the recognition they deserve and they made some great music
| Bandido Yo man, I didnt see you wrote on my shoutbox so thats why I'm writing back like a week later but no problem glad I could help with the recs
| AnotherBrick were you able to find the music? i got the their page but i couldnt listen to anything
| AnotherBrick so i think we are the same ****ing person. hopi elders would be my favorite as well, followed by focus - reborn
| Inveigh (part II) Aesop takes awhile to grow on you, I picked up Labor Days, listened to it a couple times and then put it on the shelf for months. When I finally went back to it and gave it about 3-4 more full listens, it became one of my five favorite hip hop albums ever (it takes a looooong time to catch most of what he's saying in the lyrics). Glad you liked the recs man, if you think there's something I should check out, definitely let me know
| Inveigh wow, glad you liked them man. Yeah Fugazi is great, if you liked End Hits, I'd say pick up Red Medicine next. And yeah, Down's albums were kinda s***ty after NOLA, but if you like that look into Blast Tyrant by Clutch and Deliverance by Corrosion of Conformity (their singer/guitarist plays in Down). Atmosphere is definitely awesome, I'd check out Lucy Ford next, The Woman With the Tattooed Hands is maybe their best song..
| Romulus http://www.megaupload.com/?d=RU4U4P3Z have a party it's so good
| BrahTheSunGod hey, d'you manage to find the new Circa album leak? I'm dyinggg in anticipation and REALLY don't feel like doing some sketchy surveys or getting rickrolled by fake downloads haha
| couldwinarabbit nice to see someone who gives talking heads the love they deserve.
| Metalstyles well I gotta bring some friendliness to what has been an overall hostile environment in sputnik lately ;)
| SeaAnemone you should listen to Throats - s/t (metalcore, but really really good)and La Verite - Elephant (great ambient / post-rock)if you're looking for quality 2010
| NeutralThunder12 4th song is AMAZING. 5th is perfect but the second worst on the record. 6th is near perfect but the worst there. 6th is gorgeous. 7th is fantastic. Best CD of the decade imo, but your allowd to have your opinion too.
| NeutralThunder12 you are funny too. But you need a 5 and Blackwater Park is that 5.
| TRMshadow FMA?? freaking awesome! how far along are you?
