| Wizard I don't mean to come across as a know-it-all, but I feel my opinion on metal is by far the most non-bias on this site. Alot of fags that roam this site act like a bunch of elitist douche bags but are all avid bloggers that try to come across "lol, you listen to Gojira". Myself, Crysis, Angel and a number of other users who you will discover in time are all people you can rely on for solid recs.

| Wizard Also, some other notable symphonic bm bands to check out are Avzhia's 'The Key of Thrones' and Nazxul's 'Iconoclast'. And while I'm at it, Panopticon's self-titled is one of the greatest American bm releases and dark as **** too.

| Wizard Well, they aren't symphonic but I would consider Paysage d'Hiver and Darkspace (same guy does both of these bm bands) to be pretty intensely dark stuff. All of their stuff is mandatory but to give a head start, begin with 'Winterkaelte' by P.d'Hiver and 'Darkspace II' by Darkspace.

| Yuli well I'm allowed to listen to stuff at work and I've got Spotify Premium so that's where I check out older releases. My work's mostly manual labor, mindless stuff that lets me multitask. :] other than that, though, it's pretty scattered. for instance i'm going on a flight to San Diego tomorrow and I'm trying to get all the recent releases I can manage to keep me occupied in the meantime.

| EVedder27 Tony is apparently suing the band for not getting songwriting royalties on Ursa Major, but the new guitarist is Kryz Reid from Ireland. They did play Jumper and Brad's solo during it was amazing. I posted the setlist in my last list.

| EVedder27 Pretty much my thoughts. Niadra Lades was unfocused to a point that it was good, but Smile from the Streets You Hold really is a mess. Expect my Frusciante discography to begin soon!

 | Jom It's not as rollicking as Sycamore Meadows and a bit more mellow but it maintains his signature sound. It's real excellent. The last track is a father-to-son, Butch-only track that really, really brings the album to a beyond-satisfactory conclusion. I've listened to it religiously for a few days now and I always hear something new.

| EVedder27 I would say you mix Manchester Orchestra's songwriting with some elements of pop/rock to get the Veils. Rudy's review of the album describes them really well too.
