 | pmmets07 yo! are you going to the floral green record release?
 | pmmets07 AAAAANYTHING?! also how good is floral green
 | pmmets07 well i bought it on vinyl so i had a digital download... dunno if there are any dl linxxx. i could upload it later tonight if that's cool
 | pmmets07 yessss it's so good. i've listened to it several times today
 | AdamK yeah i figured it would. It sounds awesome so far I just hate the quality but its a leak so I cant complain. I'll definitely buy the album when it comes out.
 | AdamK Yeah we must have talked a long time ago. Anyways how's that new verse album treating you?
 | AdamK danosaurx was or is your screen name right?
 | AdamK I am you have a kid or something right? And had a beard but your gf made you shave it ?
 | AdamK What's up neighbor? I feel like I used to talk to you on aim or something about music
 | pmmets07 yeah you got it pretty good in PA i'd imagine.
 | pmmets07 have you listened to this before? one of title fight's many side projects, and it's ****ing awesome. http://bbbrecords.bandcamp.com/
 | pmmets07 yeah i have a rough aoty list planned out. is listen and forgive on yours?
 | pmmets07 idk if you know these guys, but they're DIY ska punk, and their new song has Tim and Joe from Transit on it. ****ing AWESOME: https://www.facebook.com/thesheds
 | pmmets07 yeah s*** sounded like radio rock. not nearly suicidal enough.
 | pmmets07 did you hear the new daylight song? i'm not into it.
 | pmmets07 I don't know how I feel about Agent..... I got their newest split with Polygon and one of their EPs from 2008 and was indifferent about them
 | pmmets07 i can agree with that. ghost was a bit better in that regard.
 | pmmets07 thoughts on new seahaven? i love it. at first the whole thing sounded kind of empty but i just find myself listening to it over and over.
 | pmmets07 yeah new SYG was ok. i've generally lost interest in both of those bands as far as what they're doing now goes.
 | pmmets07 i approve of your four year strong rating. even though i haven't listened to the album in its entirety (and don't plan on it, either). band blew it.
 | pmmets07 http://www.absolutepunk.net/artists/showlink.php?do=showdetails
 | pmmets07 bro did you hear the new such gold track? it's ****ing great. and i still have yet to check out agent. but i'll let you know when i do.
 | pmmets07 i really really enjoyed the Givers Takers LP. thanks for the rec.
 | pmmets07 well ****, just posted on my own shoutbox. anyways: "lol dude bands with one word names are so hard to find on the internet. i found a hardcore band called capitals, then also the one you're talking about without the s. they sweet." is what i meant to post here
 | pmmets07 Yeah dude my friend just recommended me the new Backtrack album. I gotta check that out. Yo, if you have a chance, peep this band: http://inbetween3.bandcamp.com/
 | pmmets07 i am also enjoying the s*** out of new structures. which is surprising because i usually only enjoy djent in small doses.
 | pmmets07 they really did. the album is, i daresay, perfect. i love everything about counterparts. i saw em last tuesday and brendan was the coolest dude. he was talking to me about basement and how daylight is one of his favorite bands. which is funny because the end of "the disconnect" reminds me of daylight a lot.
 | pmmets07 it really really is. the last track has got to be my favorite. "i'm caught between the color schemes of black and white" is just too catchy.
 | pmmets07 yeah the new song was so meh and so nothing new
 | pmmets07 hay dan, it's been a while. i like it a lot. i like their new direction, the video is funny as hell though since none of the kids actually knew the song.
 | pmmets07 that's the beauty of last.fm. you can fool people on the internet into thinking your music taste is strictly elitist
 | pmmets07 Lol according to last.fm you used to be into all the br00tal/core bands. i was too. i used to love confide, bmth, etc.
 | andcas http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded
 | pmmets07 That's awesome. So many good PA bands. Title Fight, Tigers Jaw, Snowing, Settle For Less, Algernon, and such
 | pmmets07 That's awesome. I'm guessing you live in PA?
 | pmmets07 dude how'd you get the new Think Big! already? I just ordered it.
 | DinoX Hello new neighbour
 | pmmets07 hahaha. yeah dude i can't imagine them living up to The Upsides. that album meant a lot to me. but they said the new album has some American Football influence in it, which sounds like a good thing. they have a release date for it yet?
 | pmmets07 I was disappointed at first, but I think it's definitely a grower. It's different for them. Also, sorry for raping your shoutbox.
 | pmmets07 TGI are badass. i'd love to watch them play songs off the new album
 | pmmets07 s***, sorry i never got back to you. that's sweet. as it turns out, i'm seeing transit AGAIN next month coz they're playing with joyce manor who i'm stoked to see live
 | pmmets07 is that the tour with man overboard? that should be fun. i'm seeing balance and composure and mdam for free on that night. let me know how your show is
 | pmmets07 yeah it's garbage. you like the new transit EP eh? i'm not too crazy about it. seeing them in two weeks though, for the second time this year :)
 | pmmets07 great taste man. especially crudes
 | Kimm So sorry for your loss. Don't know what you believe in, but I'll pray for you and your family to find peace, hope, and encouragement. And if you ever want to chat via ShoutBox or Facebook...I love to listen.
 | ThirtySixChambers I'm sorry to hear about your father. If you ever need anyone to talk to or something, just let me know
 | Xenophanes New Oceano is baaaaaaaaaaaaad isn't it? At first listen I was gonna be really objective and rate it at a 2.5. Buuuuuut.......damn it's bad.
 | dixoncocks Nah, I havent been there recently since ive been at school, which sucks because there are no venues here.
 | dixoncocks yessir, do you live in the allentown area?
 | bloc Errr.....Okay nothing that I can remember from memory but still they must exist
 | bloc Haha, I am pretty sure I got some terrible bands from my city too :D
 | bloc AWESOME! Thanks a bunch bro!
 | bloc Haven't even heard it yet, will do soon. But you now have my hopes up ;)
 | bloc Really? Ooh la la.
 | bloc Me too, the tracks they released sound way better than the stuff off Creature.
 | bloc Yep, just saw it.
 | bloc Definitely a hit or miss album, for sure.
 | bloc I doubt changing the vocalist will make a difference, they're still going to want a guy that sounds the same as the previous one.
 | bloc I don't think Loomis does that whole solo in the end though, just a little bit of it. Because you can easily hear when his solo starts but then the style of playing ends and I think ont of the actual guys from the band takes over.
 | bloc Amen to that. Not sure how people can call it the best song on the album!
 | bloc My only beef with the album is how long it is, they could have easily shortened the songs or taken a couple out.
 | bloc I liked it, but I can definitely see why people would not like the vocals.
 | bloc Haha, I like them more than Periphery too, so we shall certainly see.
 | bloc Not that I know of, although their myspace says a new album for 2011.
 | Flatliner You have a really nice taste in music
 | bloc Yeah man, can't wait for all three of those.
 | bloc You're right, everything I liked from Apparition is just made so much better on this. Never heard of Terror, will look into them.
 | bloc Sounded fantastic! Very impressed and love it MUCH more than their first album.
 | bloc Downloading it now! Pretty excited to hear it.
 | Jaskolkaaa I love that you're getting into twy now
 | bloc Same here, it's a pretty good record. But half the time people are just hating because they're hating; they may have never even heard the band before.
 | bloc Yeah, the growls sounded surprisingly brutal on the EP, especially when compared to their other stuff. And I too am also liking the new Horizon single, I'm really really happy they are changing their sound, yet still have that familiar Suicide Season-ness to it.
 | bloc It wasn't too bad, I kinda like it more than any of their previous stuff.
 | bloc I knew it. I am actually thinking about listening to it just cuz, but now I might not.
 | sspedding hows it going dannyboy, have you come across anything good recently?
 | bloc Sup man, how's it going?
 | bloc So pretty much the whole damn venue? Haha, you'll get your money's worth for sure.
 | bloc True dat, haha. Yeah, I was going to go to a show near me, but decided not to. There was only going to be maybe 2 or 3 bands I actually wanted to see.
 | bloc Same ol' same ol' just listening and rating whatever comes my way, and good call on The Arusha Accord ;)
 | bloc Sup man, long time no see.
 | sspedding I can't say I have ever been a big fan, I haven't really given them a fair chance though. I will download it regardless when it is released and give them one more shot.
 | sspedding orite dannyboy. Yeah Legend was hilarious. Really polished production couldn't mask how insipid the music was.
 | cirq yea bro.. lemme know what 'you think
 | Bitchfork no it's really raspy but horrifying and disturbing in a good way. like "i'm a character in a Lovecraft novel and here's the soundtrack to my untimely, gruesome death."
:)
 | Bitchfork No, it's really raspy but horrifying and disturbing.
 | Bitchfork yeah. listen to one of their tracks with vocals. Runhild is such an amazing screamer. Female, too.
 | Bitchfork ambient and drone metal are my thangs
tokyo police club and whitest boy alive are cool
 | cirq umbrellaspassengertokyo police clubminus the bearfun.the whitest boy alive
 | ConsiderPhlebas Glad to be of help, man. I have a pretty loose definition of the genre, but my favourite indie bands are probably the melodic 'emo' bands from the 90s. Things like: American Football, Mineral, The Gloria Record, Brandtson, Cross My Heart, Elliott, Garrison etc. And these days I listen to a lot of Minus the Bear and ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of the Dead.
 | ConsiderPhlebas Try these dude... Waxwing - Noboday can take what everybody owns; Texas is the Reason - Do you know who you are?; Jawbreaker - Dear you; Jets to Brazil - Perfecting loneliness; The Get Up Kids - Something to write home about; Gameface - Every last time; Cursive - The Ugly Organ; Aereogramme - My heart has a wish that you would not go; Spokes - People like people like you; Sense Field - Building
 | ConsiderPhlebas Yeah, everything they've done, even the live album, is good.
 | Bitchfork They're proof that haphazard syncretism is bad.
 | Bitchfork Circle takes the square. Crap band.
 | Bitchfork Rachel's; Meanwhile, Back in Communist Russia; Vespers; Godspeed You! Black Emperor; Sigur Ros; Isis; Kayo Dot (kinda); Yndi Halda; worriedaboutsatan
 | Bitchfork stars of the lid, william basinksi, loscil, windy and carl, the dead texan, martin mcbride, pan american
 | Bitchfork I have like this intense feeling of "i know this person" but cannot yet forge a connection between you and memory. Help?
 | bloc I thought you weren't the type?
 | Jaskolkaaa YOUR THE REAAASON THEY SAY HIGH SCHOOL NEEEEHHH-VERR ENDS
 | bloc Haha, I was just asking!
 | bloc It's rock, but it has this heavy dance-y vibe to it.
 | bloc There really has been nothing in the past few months. Although there's a band called Boom Boom Satellites which just released a great album.
 | bloc Haha, sorry to disappoint you, but I am not a fan of that band. I liked This Is Your Way Out but then they got a new singer.
 | bloc Yeah, I think it was much worse
 | bloc Not at all, a couple good headbanging bits but that's about it.
 | WhiteWallStargazers The drummer is just sick, and overall they're a very good band. . . it's growing on me alot
 | WhiteWallStargazers It didn't click with me at all, I'm really diggin the new Woe of Tyrants album though
 | WhiteWallStargazers Hadn't heard of them until I reviewed them. . . wasn't impressed at all so I agree
 | bloc Ah okay, so there must have been some other great acts.
 | bloc Hopefully there were other bands touring with them?
 | bloc Haha, will do. I heard a bit of their first album and knew anything from them would be bad news.
 | bloc Really man, why? I've been around, all you have to do is shout in the box.
 | bloc Thank you man, and good luck you as well. Yeah, the pay is great, but of course you're going to have to start at the bottom of the ladder.
 | bloc There's a company called Ontario Power Generation, they run nuclear reactors all across Ontario. I am hoping to get a job with them, because I have heard good things.
 | bloc Haha, I guess you can strike engineering off your list then! I definitely don't love it, but I do find it interesting.
 | bloc True say, if you can't love what you're doing it should at least be tolerable. Otherwise there is no point.
 | bloc That's good, but focus may be even more important. Getting your priorities in order is probably the best advice someone can give you.
 | bloc All it takes is focus and heart pretty much.
 | bloc I think that's a brilliant idea, really.
 | bloc What are you interested in doing?
 | bloc Nuclear engineering
 | bloc Yeah, just finished my third year at uni. 2 left until I am done.
 | bloc That sounds like a good plan.
 | bloc Any plans on what you want to do when you get older? Move out, I guess?
 | bloc Oh no, that kind of stuff scares the hell out of me, especially when it would happen near my neighbourhood.
 | bloc Haha, but Toronto isn't super exciting either. It does suit me well though, because I went to New York City a while ago and it was just TOO much action there. I've been to Pennsylvania only once, but when I was very young, it was a beautiful place tbh.
 | bloc Toronto, Canada. How about yourself?
 | bloc Just dropped the album to a 2. It looks like people are right though, AA! released the 2 best tracks as teasers, so many of us ended up thinking this album would be amazing.
 | bloc Haha, I never would have gotten that. Damn, you have a good eye!
 | bloc I kinda like how they're high pitched and everything. And AC-130 is about Austin? Wow, the thought never even crossed my mind! AC must be his initials but I wonder what's up with the 130.
 | bloc I know I know, it sounds mad but I really think SCS is actually better than this! Sorry man, I don't have aim.
 | bloc Someday Came Suddenly
 | bloc Okay, this is getting a 2.5 and I'm upping SCS to a 3.
 | bloc OMG Fumbles is the worst thing ever
 | bloc lol, so far I'm on A For Andrew and it ain't too bad. Might get worse though...
 | bloc Really eh? So far I've only listened to the 2 songs they posted earlier so I thought the album would range from average to good at least.
 | bloc I only NEED to listen to it because it's AA! Otherwise I'd skip it no problem.
 | bloc Hell, even I'm dying to give it a listen. I want to wait until a download comes out.
 | bloc Listening right now actually, it's better than their previous albums but still not really feeling it. What about you?
 | sspedding nice one badboy, whos playing this year?
 | bloc Me too, it's a classic.
 | bloc One of my all time favourite bands
 | Winsomniac Whoa, whoa. Set Your Goals is pop-punk. And that CD was actually pretty good. But if you mean the pop-punk-wannabe-hipster-because-they're-too-skinny-to-be-a-normal-douchebag-type kid then yeah, I get ya.
 | Winsomniac They're pretty bro. Our area was a bit too upper class to have kids pretending to be gangster, so we had kids that supported different local bands fight and s***. Was funny.
 | Winsomniac oh god... uhh. We had...The Linden Murder, Bearclaw(YEAH. that's their name.) and a few others..
 | Winsomniac hahaha they weren't even the most bro band in our area.
 | Winsomniac haha yeah, last time I saw them was last year's Bamboozle Left. They used to play a ton of shows really close to me though. Betrayal came from the area I live in, and TGI would play a lot of shows with them.
 | bloc I still say you should the new Fleshgod out. As for Stick To Your Guns, never been a big fan of those guys either.
 | bloc I really never liked them from the start, and this was no different. Simply average for me.
 | Winsomniac I don't think any guest vocals are on Greater Distance. You know one of their guitarists occasionally screams too, right?
 | Winsomniac Between the Lines. Liked it a lot since I heard it live a year ago. Objectively, about every song on the album whoops massive amounts of ass.
 | Winsomniac oh wow. I meant to put in that the vocalist is from Sleeping Giant, but i guess it blanked out?
 | bloc Never listened to Endwell before, I'll look into it.
 | bloc That's a good point, you may even be right. And a band like this would suit his vocals perfectly.
 | bloc You think so? Doesn't sound anything like him.
 | bloc Oooh yeah, The Conflict is awesome.
 | sspedding yeah its probably my favourite too. chrono is one of my favourite songs for as long as i can remember.
 | bloc I saw your 5, and I was like "not this guy again!" But did you really enjoy it that much? I liked it for sure, but it was still lacking some variation.
 | sspedding wats up homefry, I see you have acquired Returners. Where did you do so please dannyboooooy?
 | bloc I did, and it had some nice head-nodding moments but it was pure average. Better than the previous album though.
 | bloc Ooooh nice one, even I bought Controller. One of my all time favourites.
 | bloc Haha, so I guess they got ONE sale! But I agree, lots of potential.
 | bloc I really wouldn't be surprised if they did break up, no one really knows about them and I doubt anyone even bought their album.
 | bloc My two favourite songs are Nothing Says Party and They Say My Name is
 | bloc And what do you think about The Messenger?
 | bloc I just HAD to give it listen, and I feel as though a weight has been lifted off my shoulders ;)
 | bloc Aye, good point. I liked a couple songs, but I agree that the rest was average. I do enjoy a lot of their older stuff.
 | bloc Me too, just yesterday. What did you think?
 | PirateSquid They're not playing anything from The Tide anymore. They mostly played their new EP, and 'In Birth', 'Family Disease', and 'Devil Walk, God Walk', and they just skipped the screaming
 | PirateSquid I guess they just feel like quitting their old direction entirely. Going completely prog/indie now I suppoooose :\
