| bloc Bro they kick ass. Of their two albums, the newer one is prog as hell, but I actually prefer their first album because the vocals are fantastic.

 | jrbrown hey, considering we have the same musical taste you should check out the band The Contortionist: Extroplanet. Not sure if you heard of them but they are pretty sick, listen to the song flourish.

 | andcas thought personally they were both more believable and so was the minor change. I felt more connected with them as well as far as the emotional connection went. the ending with the killing, pool, bully scene was awesome. I think the girl who was in kick ass is an underrated actress, idk, im all for foreign films but just loved the remake more : )

| andcas I thought the acting was better. the gory parts were more violent. they made her an actual girl instead of a boy that was castrated. better special effects and it was better shot. over all I just enjoyed it better and thats saying a lot because I didnt think it be good and I enjoyed the swedish version a great deal

 | ShadowRemains cus some of the bands in the genre ARE terrible and add WAY too many breakdowns/whiny vocals into their songs, they just get monotonous and give the genre a bad name. BTW: Have you checked out Blessings From a Blackened Sky by The Sorrow. you'll probably like them if you haven't

| heyadam haha dude I've been wanting to meet her forever. Its going to be a good time. Hopefully she'll hang with the fans like she always does after the show, all i have to do is get through never shout never's set without shooting myself....we'll probably leave and just wait outside after hey monday is done

Trespassers William-Different Stars, omgomgomgomgomgomg get this! It's kind of shoegazy pop music and it's intensely beautiful. Rasputin gave it a 5 so you KNOW it is good.
The XX- XX- will boost your indie hipster cred. It's also really chill popish music.

| Blindsided Generally from my understanding if you get a legal stream or source of it you can post it as long as you state that. I've got an like 2 albums that I got directly from Metal Blade and I might post before the release date. I've seen others do it that were sent an early copy.

 | Progmaster85 but hey it's all opinion man, no hard feelings. Usually, the popular opinion is that all metalcore sucks, (not true) so its good to see a fan of it on here.

| Progmaster85 progressed, they are at their peak of creativity now. And, their vocalist is awesome. He never stays in the same tone and changes up the scream volume and tone every other lyric.

| Progmaster85 lol hve not changed. I have to disagree friend, Messengers was excellent though suffered from WAY to many breakdowns, even though the breakdowns themselves were odd and interesting. Also, on Constellations, they have rid of the excessive breakdowns, and added a new Prog-Jazz influence that they never had before, such as the effortless transition to a clean jazzy section in "Ocean of Apathy" or the two jazz sections in "Crusades", or the slow buildup intro in "White Washed". | Progmaster85 no, no no. Not really repetitive, the disjointed song structures and lack of choruses actually make the songs more intriguing and less repetitive. I don't know man, one of my favorite metalcore bands ever, I saw you were talking about the faults of messengers on the messengers review board, then I went to click on you thinking you were like a Converge-Neutral Milk guy, but naw. But if August Burns Red is solid... then Becoming the Archetype is just plain old bad, which they are. I dunno,

| BigTuna Weird. No, they put on an awesome show when I saw them. The worst band live award goes to A Day to Remember for me. The lead singer can't sing, scream, or do anything productive in a live setting.

| BigTuna Do this for me: Check out Manchester Orchestra-Mean Everything To Nothing. I think you'll love it. Pretty much single-handedly got me into indie. Also, you're about the only other user I know that has Burning Bridges as a 5 :)

| BigTuna Yeah I know you're taste! You said I was awesome so I investigated. We have pretty similar tastes I'd say. I'm surprised we aren't neighbors, although you don't listen to much indie/alternative, so maybe that's why. I have Conducting, but have yet to give them a fair listen.

| BrahTheSunGod Yea, true. I had to drive up to freaking Grand Rapids to see ABR when they were here, i think BOAD was at that show. I know Charis was, they played great. Have you heard of them at all? Or Your Memorial or Emiliana? Both put on great live shows, def worth seeing.
