| TMobotron Yo man always good to see you posting. What degree are you working towards in uni? And feel free to keep in touch about anything man, recs, real life, whatever. Peace!
| esther Hey man I noticed you like some of the same bands I do. I wrote and recorded an EP and I was wondering if you could review, rate, or even just listen to it. Here's a link: esther801music.bandcamp.com
| TRMshadow I need to thank you again for introducing me to o'brother. F**king Amazing band.
| InFiction Dude, are you still around? I miss your face.
| Deviant. Hey man, I have a favour to ask. Could I possibly grab your email off you?
| Knott- nigga this is my lawn! well said.
| Douglas Haha, yeah it was an amazing couple of days, yeah hears hoping that the new Middle East album is a bit more tighter then the set ey?
| Douglas Haha yes, I learnt that lesson hard a couple of falls ago, spewed missed like some of the best acts and hated myself the next day for it! Yeah Falls is so much better organized than Pyramid. Highlight? The National for me were in****ingcredible, as well as the quirky ass set from the Middle East.
| Douglas howd you enjoy falls? I enjoyed muchly!
| EVedder27 haha, I was just messing around with the chords, but it seemed pretty accurate
| EVedder27 stumbled across this today, assuming it's you: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/t/the_tallest_man_on_earth/pistol_dreams_crd.htm#comments

| cirq still hiding...
| Xenophanes Your La Dispute soundoff is easily one of the best ever.
| Vooligan Yeah i loved that solo. Can see myself listening to Innerspeaker heaps over summer.
| Vooligan I was a huge fan of Solitude is Bliss and Bold Arrow of Time. The latter, was awesome in particular.
| Vooligan listened. Awesome album. Probably a 4 for me. Tis a great album to chill to.
| alachlahol and since you tend to enjoy similar folk to me here's some really good s***. Mountain Man - Made The Harbor just came out this year. three-girl folk group awesome harmonies. Simon and Garfunkel - Bridge Over Troubled Water total ****ing classic, heavily influenced Good Old War
| alachlahol it's also going to really depend on what you were raised on. my parents were playing The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, Beach Boys all the time when i was growing up so i love almost everything they do. getting into old-school bands when you've never listened to stuff by them before can be daunting unfortunately
| alachlahol well for one thing the Beatles are the second coming of Jesus. listen to Abbey Road in full if you enjoy that let me know. for Hendrix you should get a compilation album like Experience Hendrix: The Best Of Jimi Hendrix since it lays out all his highlights. i'll leave you with those two for now. if you're a real music whore and eat up albums like cheerios i can rec you a bunch at once but two for now should suffice
| alachlahol out of the stuff you've checked out what have you really enjoyed
| alachlahol Warpaint and Tame Impala will most likely be in my top 10 for the year. have you ever listened to any albums by Hendrix or Cream? not sure how into psychedelia you are
| alachlahol **** forgot to respond to your shout. i have heard Pond but only one song from their myspace a long time ago. haven't found any other bands at all similar to TI unfortunately, everything psychedelic-based is pretty lax lately with the exception of Warpaint. Black Mountain is ok, Wolf And Cub, Dead Meadow, Comets On Fire. none of them really sound like the other and i wouldn't call any of them excellent
| alachlahol looks like you've been enjoying the new Tame Impala. if you haven't already, you should listen to their EP. and here's a link to quite a few demos that are good quality and all great: http://forums.wolfmother.net/showthread.php?t=2484
| Bitchfork indie fgt listen to more noiz metul
| Bitchfork I tried to find a post I sent you via shoutbox but couldn't, so mind explaining what the **** was the reason behind just posting "tame impala?"
| Ire AAAAAAAGH I ****ING KILL OLD PEOPLE JUST BY LOOKING AT THEM
| dcha Here is Patagonian Rats. Enjoyhttp://teramelos.bandcamp.com/
| DeafMetal Wow, I'm really enjoying Thistled Spring. Awesome stuff man.
| StreetlightRock Yep, pretty much, her and a guitar. She likes a bit of reverb though, so it's not so quiet.
| StreetlightRock Have you heard anything outside of Hadestown? I've got Hymns For The Exiled which is tre fab (and an absolute bitch to find), but not her other stuff.
| Lambda I might do one as a joke bonus round or something
| StreetlightRock Ah, okayokay, I'll try. I've just had a bit of trouble getting an intro down (once I get an intro down, EVERYTHING else falls into place), and I have a habit of giving up if I can't, but I'll crank some brain juice just for you =)
| DaveyBoy Well that was interesting. Folky cabaret is not quite my thing though Tom.
| Iamthe Nightstars Oh, I should have noticed that. I like your voice. The Flume cover is pretty sweet. Keep going man it sounds great.
| DiceMan Not much just laughing at how much I like most of your top 10 from lastfm. Hbu?
| Douglas looksi at my list, i posted for you :(
| Powerban I think I know of a singer songwriter you would like quite well, sir. He is compared to Bon Iver, but adds in a post-rock feel. He goes under the moniker 'Rivulets'. Check out a song here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p81h7hDF1nU
| Douglas hey man any chance you could send me a link for vultures?
| Blindsided First comment cut off and for the second comment I just ordered Cotton Teeth a couple days ago so thats on its way.
| Blindsided Hey could I bother you for some folk recs? Both male and female would be appreciated.
| AnotherBrick k i'm trying to put this list together that is basically an essential list for various genres, so i'm asking a lot of users who i feel really know the genre. Think you can come up with 10 essential post-hardcore albums?
| YouAreMySilence Hey brah, Ive really intrigued by those Sheperd's Dog acoustic demos. Do you happen to have it for .zip file?
| Blindsided Oh man it was insane. He was great, had some trouble with his guitar cutting out a couple times but played it off perfectly. He played a good mix of both albums, merch was sparse, I got The Wild Hunt vinyl. When I get that review up I'll let you know.
| Blindsided Just thought I'd let you know I'll be seeing The Tallest Man coming on stage in about 20 minutes, I'm going to write up a live review for my own site similar to the staffs version on the blog so when that is up I'll notify you.
| SigurFloyd I was going to call you a bitch, but the fact that you gave fall of troy a 4 already did.
| Yotimi Dude, your myspace stuff is really good. You should finish that Flume cover.
| NeutralThunder12 hey buddy, I see your a folk guy. Have you ever heard of Nick Drake?
| Blindsided I hope you are going to see TTMOE for his new tour. Also can you direct me in the direction for Darwin Deez?
| Edwin I just wrote in my own shoutbox lol, ****ing fail.
| Edwin Ah okay, Australia ftw. I'm at Newcastle. This semester I have 2 core classes (Intro to Communications, and Foundation of Media Production, which is just making audio and video things on pro tools basically), 1 major class for Journalism ('Intro to Professional Writing) and 1 elective. So yeah, it's a bit boring to start with, doing all the 'intro' kind of classes. But it's starting to get more interesting already. Not sure how easy it will be getting a job though, tonnes of people study it.
| Edwin re. the question you asked in that University list: I study Communication with a major in Journalism (in Australia) and it's the bees knees so far. I'm in my first year. There's such an interesting range of things to learn, so I can only recommend it.
| iPim Thanks for the heads-up. I know I am a terrible writer :p
| Jim thanks man listening now. this is very tasty!
| Motiv3 dude where did u get the tallest man album from?
| FreePizzaDay Best soundoff ever on that Tallest Man album. I lol'd for a full minute.
| Blindsided I just got Tallest Man tickets for his tour. Jealous?
| Blindsided First off I have one question: how can you like Justin Vernon but not DeYarmond Edison? Secondly I would like some folk recs please.
| Blindsided Physical no idea. Digitally I found it pretty quick like on mediafire. It's not as good as The Wild Hunt but ha then again not much is.
| Blindsided Haha I'm pretty partial to You're Going Back and Kids on the Run. I can't believe it leaked this early. You should check out the review I put up last night for his s/t EP.
| Blindsided I changed my opinion on The Wild Hunt. It's fantastic.
| scotish yay for free indie! ://www.sputnikmusic.com/album.php?reviewid=35244 got o'brother downloaded, can't get to my own pc atm still haven't listened (somehow :
| Tom, my name is Tanner and I was wandering if you could e-mail me at tannermerritt@gmail.com so i could talk to you about a review.
| YouAreMySilence Then post one up! Maps and Floating In And Out are my favorite tracks!
| YouAreMySilence Yeah I should probably look that up.
And I hope they come up with something new, wasnt Cotton Teeth released in like 06?
| YouAreMySilence I cant say I've listened to it. Do you have any idea when they're coming out with a new record?
| YouAreMySilence Brah, post a ****ing review for Cotton Teeth dammit! Amazing, amazing record.
| DiceMan What does tl;dr mean? I've seen it used before I just never understand it... :(
| Douglas Alright deal will do! And get on it the album is fantastical
| Electric City check out Born Into Trouble... and This is Our Punk Rock. Those albums are definitely their best
| Douglas hey man you should upload Paul Dempsey's album on AWG
| Electric City its pretty much exactly like 13 blues for thirteen moons tbh. Maybe a little less obnoxious but same basic sonic palette and i have the same opinion; a good change up for post rock but nothing to listen to all the time
| Douglas Yeah man it was insane fan, considering 90% of the girls at the event were pretty much the hottest things ever it was great fun haha. Yeah Architecture were amazing so were bluejuice, yeah singers were drunk as.
| Skimaskcheck Aw sweet! Thanks man, i definitely need to go get them asap!
| Skimaskcheck thanks alot for posting Here, Hear III on AWG, i'm REALLY enjoying it, are the other Here, Hear's similar at all?
| Douglas Fav act at pyramid? Also did you partake in the naked slip and slide? Me and my gf were amoung the 100's doing it SOO much fun.
| Douglas Dead Letter Circus just ****ing dominated for me, that pit was intense as hell and so much fun! Also, Calling all cars were great. Bluejuice were fun due to my drunkness and the random sex doll floating around the crowd. nah man, after 1am each night i had no idea who i was watching!
| Douglas Yeah I know, was awesome fun. though looking after a drunken girlfriend spewing uot of the tent at 6am wasnt fun! hahahaha
| Douglas Sucked we got no count down though : (
| Athom the only thing I troll is No Heroes discussions. if you are referring to TwasGenocide I know said person, but I am in no way him.
| nutsack "I will leave you whimpering on the floor and bleeding from the pulpy red gash that was your anus"i'm glad you enjoyed that line, or were frightened of it. one of my finest moments
| SlightlyEpic I noticed you just made your first post, nice job man. I've added you to the staff panel too, let me know your top 5 bands and also if you have a last.fm account so I can put it there :)
| SlightlyEpic And you're invited! This is going to be ridiculous now haha, sputnikblogs.com, good to have you man
| MarcTruant I was tempted. Ribbons and Sugar was great. Too bad I lost my copy.
| Lions That is true. I should probably go about that soon (as if I don't have enough music!). Nonetheless, I always need more. You're doing a fine job whoring this album, my friend. : )
| xNintendoCorex woah thanks man, this is great stuff. the songs ive heard have a great vibe around them. kinda remind me of bowerbirds, if youve ever listened to them.
| xNintendoCorex yep, its mike kinsella, great stuff.ummm, my favourite is probably 'at home with owen' but i think most people prefer 'i do percieve' though they are vastly different albums. the latter is a bit more natural and transparent while the former is quite ambient/ethereal in comparison....thats my thoughts anyways. all his works are killer though.heres a good 'un:://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJ8M0nwnhao
