| alachlahol Everclear was just one of those bands that got a lot of flack for how s***ty they were. they were a classic of the 90's even though they sucked
| H61 yes but i'm not really a big van halen fan or anything it was random haha
| KILL well my fav thrash albums minus rip are heathen - victims of deception, sodom - agent orange, exhorder - slaughter in the vatican, sepultura arise and megadeth - peace sells
| KILL megadeth - rust in peace, the best!
| Progmaster85 Lol i Don't know everything I just like to argue... please don't waste my time in my shoutbox appointing me as a know-it-all because it bores me, if you would like to have a discussion about music or a debate about it then fine, but if not, please spare me from your superfluous sarcasm.
| Progmaster85 "Now keep in mind I haven't actually had a confrontation with Progmaster yet. But given the opportunity I would gladly reach through my computer and rearrange his face."
| tiesthatbind Sweet, yeah I like reviewing, only done 2 so far, but it fits someone like me that does long-winded arguments lol.
| tiesthatbind All I really like from it are Broken Hearted Soul (yes it grew on me lol), Don't Turn Away, Genocide was decent, and Easier Than This was pretty good I think actually. It sits at a 2 for me right now, if I feel generous with another listen I may bump it to 2.5. I think I may actually review their discography, once I've finished it and gotten a couple other reviews done.
| tiesthatbind Haven't listened to the live album yet, but I will soon. Even though Black Sheep probably sucks, I'll listen to it as well just out of curiousity.
| tiesthatbind Sahaj just had this great emotional power in From One, and the riffs/instrumentals went with his vocals perfectly. Yeah I like the Parole riff. Skorn was surprisingly heavy too, I wasn't expecting that kind of song toward the end, I like the sitar solo. (or whatever it is, I'm not an expert)
| tiesthatbind Yeah, Black Sun was a waste of their talent, the only vaguely interesting musical parts were the occasional solos. It was trying to be poppy yet practically none of the songs were catchy, whereas From One... I don't skip a track on it and it's ridiculously catchy. That song On My Side from From One is becoming a new favorite for me also.
| KILL u should check out focus
| tiesthatbind It's disappointing that Ra gradually got worse, From One was awesome. Their first 3 albums for me are a 4, 3, then 2. Duality was pretty solid. Black Sun has maybe 4 tracks that I like at the most, the songwriting, lyrics and music are extremely poor compared to what they were capable of.
| tiesthatbind Awesome. Yeah, at first the amount of ballad material threw me at first, but I grew to love it. I like every song on the album now, and it is and it will be one of my all-time favorites. My favorite song is Breaking Inside. The heavy tracks are pretty killer though too, in my opinion.
| tiesthatbind Ok, no hurry obviously. And yeah, that is lame, especially that a "filler" track is probably the best on there.
| tiesthatbind Well Black Sun does have Don't Turn Away, but aside from that it seems boring. Have you gotten a chance to try Shinedown's Sound of Madness yet?
| tiesthatbind Yeah I saw your soundoff lol. Well I can tell Black Sun is going to be a disappointment because the first track, Broken Hearted Soul is pretty weak compared to the other openers. It's a bit poppy compared to their others too.
| tiesthatbind I like Sky, don't know if it's a favorite, it's one of the better ones on From One though, I like the guitar solos. I haven't heard much of Black Sun, but it sounds like a disappointment from what I've heard, aside from Don't Turn Away. Cross of Snow from the next one is good though.
| tiesthatbind Good call on Ra, I am enjoying them. So far from what I've listened to my favorites are Do You Call My Name, the Every Little Thing cover, Don't Turn Away, and my #1 favorite is Fallen Angels.
| ninjuice Say "auf Wiedersehen" to your Nazi balls.
| tiesthatbind No, I haven't checked out the live DVD yet. Have you?
| tiesthatbind Yeah, Alter Bridge is amazing. Can't get enough of 'em.
| BallsToTheWall The first half of the movie pretty much does, but the second half is ****ing epic.
| BallsToTheWall That was actually a quote from the new Boondock Saints movie.
| BallsToTheWall MERRY CHRISTMAS MOTHER****ER!!!!!! Na, man, that's too sacreligious.
| FadeToBlack i'm the other way round, i find filosofem kind of boring. both great albums tho
| FadeToBlack Hvis Lyset tar Oss 3.5? you make me sad sir
| iWaNTeDToKNoW Get a new pair of glasses because there are no lies to see
| Progmaster85 I'm addictedddd to Nectar and Runes to my memory
| jingledeath probably the best male/female vocal duo out there for me, i can't really think of any other band that does it better than them
| jingledeath haha yeah I love the female vocals on it, so goood
| TRMshadow Good to hear, They're definitely abstract and a bit hard to get into, but just bear with it, I'm pretty sure you'll love 'em in the end.
| Progmaster85 by the way, THANK YOU for being like the only person who agrees with me that Morningrise is a 5.
| Progmaster85 deserves a 5. But anyway I don;t mean to be rude at all, because you actually have a very good taste in music, however, all I said was that I don't like Amon Amarth's lyrics and you tell me that I make the gods of music weep in agony.
| Progmaster85 in fact the god of music is weeping because you only gave Blackwater Park a 4 lol.
| Progmaster85 by the way, why do I make the gods of music weep?
| Progmaster85 oh lol no, I love Amon Amarth, their freaking awesome I just think their lyrics are kind of cheesy. I still love them though lol their an incredible Death metal band. With Oden our Side was outstanding.
| SomeKindOfChampion it definitely is an excessive rating but i listened to the album through once and didnt like it at all.
| Jom Much appreciated, boss -- and thanks for reading, too.
