  • PunchforPunch Hey Sowing is there any possibility to lift up Sach's 'Ban On Sight' policy on him? I know he can be too combative most of the times, but he's a good kid. and only wanted to be embraced by the community, not seen as some kind of a sewer mutant. Most of us done some stupid s*** in our early 20s and I also told him to tone down the arrogant and combative attitude of his.

  • theBoneyKing Haha, thanks. Your list prompted me to spin it again and its been haunting me all week. The opening 6 songs especially are just nuts.
    July 13 10:53 AM
  • theBoneyKing Bumped TDAG to a 4.5! :-D
    July 13 10:16 AM
  • Kaiwaz let's do a Science Fiction run, lyrics all the way through entire album on the thread
    July 13 09:24 AM
  • Kaiwaz I love that you love Lit me Up Sowing. That song is very important to me and it is one of the best openers I've ever heard, I listen to a lot of music man, that s*** is 100% feel and emotion. Couldn't have opened it any better.
    July 13 09:09 AM
  • Kaiwaz I made a list I remember now! It was called "When I Grow Up I Wanna Be A Heretic" and had Science Fiction as the only album. If I remember right, I think I went on a tirade about how most of the albums I like on here, no one backs me or something. It was something pertaining to me being a pariah, yeah I d e l e t e d it the next morning lmao
    July 13 09:04 AM
  • Kaiwaz I did on the main review page...or was it Waste? I can't remember all I remember is when this album came out I was laying on the couch and when I first heard Lit Me Up I commented instantly. I should have said more because it hit me really hard instantly. I just didn't want to get called out for being a Brand New noob because it was literally the first song I heard by that band. Oh man, I wish I could relive that moment again, that was ****ing awesome!
    July 13 08:59 AM
  • Kaiwaz Just wanted to say Hi and that list you made is amazing. I can't imagine the amount of time you put into that. I loved reading your writeups on all the songs, pretty much nailed it except In The Water is #1! haha, have a good weekend bro, ily man
    July 13 02:28 AM
  • granitenotebook I am, yeah. I'm gonna take a few days though, I'm fine w/not being featured
    July 12 09:53 PM
  • ButtBoy You know, now that I'm really thinking about it...I feel like I finally caved at one point so that I could read the excerpt inside that I had only ever read online. That sounds right. I probably opened it like a year ago to read that.
    July 12 03:23 PM
  • ShadowNeko Thanks mate. Also give Yuzukingdom a listen if you enjoy heavy metal with great pop vocals.
    July 11 09:03 AM
  • ShadowNeko yo sowing. The album image for Yuzukingdom Dadaism isn't showing up when I uploaded it. Can you fix that glitch?
    July 11 07:51 AM
  • tectactoe Welp that didn't take long. First five entries of the Radiohead list are up. Thanks again for the inspiration/motivation!
    July 10 01:30 PM
  • tyman128 hey man, thanks for the appreciation!also, on instagram I?ve started following this guy who?s main goal is to promote unknown Christian rock/metal artists, and I?ve got some recs in hang if you wanna check them outthere?s some pretty solid stuff
    July 4 06:45 AM
  • DoofDoof Oh, I see, you are already taking this medication.
    July 1 06:40 PM
  • DoofDoof I prescribe you a course of Chris Brown 1-1.5 ratings to get your objectivity levels back to the normal range. Collect your prescription from the pharmacy on your way out.
    July 1 06:19 PM
  • Sinternet It's working now, I made a news article. Please don't ban me for speaking truth. A lot of SJW on here, just want to clarify my stance on it.
    June 30 07:12 AM
  • trackbytrackreviews You always seem to be on top of current pop music and Petras has gotten a lot of hype recently, but I?m kinda lazy to listen to her music
    June 29 09:39 PM
  • trackbytrackreviews Kim Petras - yay or nay?
    June 29 04:05 PM
  • Kaiwaz please talk to me in discord, I would appreciate it
    June 29 01:28 PM
  • Atari I?m counting on you!! It could really use a review too. It?s like Letlive. had a baby with Beach Slang and 90s Everclear with some added punk influence
    June 29 01:27 PM
  • Kaiwaz It's working now, I made a news article. Please don't ban me for speaking truth. A lot of SJW on here, just want to clarify my stance on it.
    June 29 01:24 PM
  • Kaiwaz can you pop on discord for a few? have to tell you something about Jesse
    June 29 12:50 PM
  • Atari Seriously, don?t sleep on it
    June 29 10:55 AM
  • Kaiwaz Hey Sowing, is there something I have to do before my profile tracks all my bands/albums/tags/edits etc?
    June 28 08:43 PM
  • Atari Sowing, check this new Russian Girlfriends album. really refreshing modern punk that I think you'll enjoy :)
    June 27 06:39 PM
  • KateBush Hello SowingSeason! Papa Universe said that I should maybe ask you if it might be possible to have a space between my first and last names, if that's O.K. with you?
    June 25 04:53 PM
  • tyman128 I?m going through ?A Black Mile? right now, and ?The Moth? is a fantastic song, loving this album right now
    June 25 02:56 AM
  • Gyromania No worries man. I have no problems with Treb and yeah the guy gets a bad rep. I was maybe a little too harsh wjth my criticisms
    June 24 11:44 PM
  • Slex Thanks very much!!
    June 24 03:12 PM
  • Hawks I appreciate the kind words bro. I?ve just been thinking and I feel like I?ve really earned it as of late. I love writing for this site so much and getting that title would honestly mean so much to me. I?m gonna stop feeding into the bs and focus on being a great writer from now on. Hope you guys see some progress.
    June 24 02:59 PM
  • Hawks I promise to tone down the s*** posting if you give me the chance as well. :]
    June 24 02:45 PM
  • Hawks Hey bro, so I know you guys can make promotions even after the whole promotion period ends but I?d honestly like you guys to consider making me a contrib. I?ve been working super hard on my reviews over the past year and a half and I contribute so much to the site. I know it?s a long shot but I really wanna be more involved and I?ve become so passionate about it recently and I think I could help the site out tremendously. I think I?ve more than paid my dues and it would mean a lot to me.

    June 24 01:27 PM
  • neekafat Okayyyyyy!
    June 24 12:56 PM
  • tyman128 I feel the exact same way, 2019 is full of amazing music
    June 24 10:02 AM
  • tyman128 most likely gonna bump the Bad Books album to a 5 here shortly, also, Army is one of my new favorite songs ever
    June 23 04:00 PM
  • Slex Gonna send an interview with State Faults your way some time tonight or tomorrow, just wanted to give you a heads up!
    June 23 02:10 PM
  • neekafat friendly reminder to check alanis (:
    June 23 01:55 PM
  • tyman128 dude, and that Glen Hansard album you suggested? woo is that a good album, really digging these chiller albums from 2019, seems to be more consistently enjoyable than that of the metal styles coming out this year
    June 23 10:03 AM
  • tyman128 okay, ?Army? is one of the best songs I?ve heard in quite a while, such an emotional and powerful song without having to do much to elicit such brutality in the music. Easily SOTY for me right now
    June 22 06:14 PM
  • tyman128 dude, I?m finishing it up right now, and this is definitely a 4.5 and potentially a 5 in the making for me, this stuff is fantastic
    June 22 05:56 PM
  • tyman128 the new Weyes Blood is pretty good, not the best I?ve heard this year, but definitely a solid 4 (maybe 4.5 the more I listen to it). Now onto Bad Books
    June 22 05:32 PM
  • tyman128 Copeland is currently my AOTY as well (State Fault is not far behind though) and I just started jamming Weyes Blood and I?m really digging it (which is interesting because it seems like I?m departing from strictly metal to a much broader spectrum which is great). Just downloaded that Bad Books album so that?s next on the list
    June 22 03:28 PM
  • tyman128 thought it would be better to ask here, but are there any highlights I should check out for 2019?
    June 22 03:17 PM
  • Maco097 Thx bro.
    June 22 12:50 PM
  • Maco097 Hey I don't know if you can help, can you please all my ratings?
    June 22 11:47 AM
  • dmathias52 Where are you listening at? Cause now I?m hyped as hell but can?t find it on Spotify and my music searching skills aren?t the sharpest lol
    June 21 10:58 PM
  • dmathias52 Oh damn, glad you said something cause I thought it was their debut too lol. Guess I gotta edit my review quick and then I have some music to check out!
    June 21 10:42 PM
  • dmathias52 Appreciate it! I think it?s stunning, completely obsessed. Very different from the last one, they went a synth-pop route. Up there with Copeland for AOTY already for me
    June 21 10:29 PM
  • luci haven't been in a writing mood but that might change, have a bunch of thoughts brewing in my head. have yet to hear a song by her I'd rate below 4/5, she's the real deal
    June 21 10:15 PM
  • Papa Universe you won't find it on youtube, but Reggae. it's on Spotify. there's this thing tho: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8fBopo31vQ but it also contains remixes
    June 21 10:09 PM
  • dmathias52 Would you be able to fix the album art for Air Review's "How We Got By"? I didn't realize I couldn't upload it from my phone and now need a mod's approval to change it. Also, highly recommend that you check the album out!
    June 21 08:00 PM
  • luci best debut album in ages. how stunning is the chorus of "without a blush"? and the entirety of "secret"? ugh
    June 21 07:18 PM
  • Papa Universe if you want something that sounds like Benjamin Clementine turns into Melvins/Shellac mixture, then check the new Black Midi.
    June 21 11:33 AM
  • JohnnyoftheWell WOO thank you
    June 19 10:03 PM
  • JohnnyoftheWell Most shameless question you'll ever get from me, but since it's been a bit of a slow patch for lists, any chance of a feature for my Pokemon analogy?
    June 19 09:58 PM
  • ShadowNeko Hey Sowing. I?ve uploaded the album cover for Blood Stain Child Amateras and it doesn?t show up?Can you fix it so it shows the cover image?
    June 19 10:56 AM
  • fogza Thanks, appreciate your help.
    June 18 05:12 PM
  • Slex agree with so much of yr Bad Books review: it has such a captivating feeling of being this fleeting thing while still being so affecting and rooted, if that makes any sense hahaanyways it was about damn time the project released something special
    June 18 05:09 PM
  • Rowan5215 lmao, damn. took 3 listens for it to grow above a 4 for me, and I still think the midsection with I Love You and Neighborhood is pretty weaksauce, but it starts and ends unbelievable
    June 18 11:05 AM
  • Rowan5215 was this 'oh my word' for Bad Books, TDS or something else ;D
    June 18 09:50 AM
  • neekafat oki I'll switch it back on my cram list
    June 18 02:42 AM
  • Rowan5215 definitely play it on a warm day, on a roadtrip if you can, and focus on the lyrics - hundred percent guarantee you'll fall in love with it
    June 17 10:07 PM
  • Rowan5215 it's really very good, on par with II and better than I I'd say. if anything it's a little too barebones but there's plenty there that could still grow on me - and the last four songs are unbelievable
    June 17 09:17 PM
  • neekafat The Seer or To Be Kind?
    June 17 01:08 PM
  • fogza Hi, sorry to bother, I know this isn't the right place to raise this, but I was wondering if you could help. I can't seem to post or do anything on the forum, and there doesn't seem to be a support email address.
    June 17 03:34 AM
  • Rowan5215 had a chance to hear new Bad Books yet? the closer is truly ****ing incredible, on par with most of Black Mile
    June 16 02:06 AM
  • neekafat Except on the new Silversun Pickups (;
    June 15 01:52 PM
  • neekafat Only cuz we have weirdly similar taste and it's already been on my radar for forever!
    June 15 02:35 AM
  • neekafat Did you really rec me a 9-EP collection as one of your main recs???
    June 14 05:13 PM
  • JohnnyoftheWell Hey man, have you ever heard Ichiko Aoba?
    June 13 09:54 AM
  • Slex https://youtu.be/rgx_HIgyfuMMight as well share that with it, thanks!
    June 13 09:31 AM
  • neekafat Yo you should throw a few recs in my new cram list if you have the time (:

  • neekafat Wouldn't go THAT far but I do love it. Have you ever jammed any Natalie Merchant?
    June 11 03:20 PM
  • neekafat Yessss the opening songs are so so lovely, almost makes up for your fading National rating (;
    June 11 02:41 PM
  • Get Low "Temporary insanity" lol. Glad you bumped it back up.
    June 9 10:28 PM
  • Get Low Hope you don't ignore my question about the Jewel album, because I'm genuinely curious. I just listened to it for the first time and it's really a thing of beauty.
    June 9 10:22 PM
  • Papa Universe it's a really good band
    June 9 03:33 PM
  • Papa Universe while I have you here, may I speak to you about our lord and saviour Jesus Christ? because he truly wants you to listen to that new Yes We Mystic album.
    June 9 01:19 PM
  • Papa Universe The truest
    June 9 01:18 PM
  • Papa Universe Nice Plastic Mermaids album
    June 9 12:57 PM
  • SoulFunction scuse me, I submitted a music news yesterday and seems it wasn't approved by whoever in charge. I followed every instructions, what gives?
    June 8 08:44 PM
  • Get Low Hey Sowing, I saw your 5 review for Jewel's debut album, and that you referred to it as "undoubtedly one of the greatest records a pop artist has ever made" but you now have it at a 3. I was wondering what caused your change of heart on the album.
    June 7 11:59 PM
  • Slex ?Summer was sunny but history, funny to settle with? alright this album is hitting me HARD yr maybe probably right about that 4.7
    June 5 11:59 PM
  • Slex Got it, had to sign in again lol
    June 5 11:34 AM
  • Slex Which forum are you referring to?
    June 5 11:28 AM
  • Slex Holy s***!!! Thank you so much I?m completely overjoyed
    June 5 11:18 AM
  • Slex Wanted to request a feature for my Jai Paul album. I know the technicals of it are a bit complex but it is technically a new release and way less people know about him than I realized
    June 4 06:10 PM
  • luci I submitted a news article just now with a portion of his explanation. You can read the full thing at: https://pitchfork.com/news/jai-paul-returns-with-2-new-songs-listen/
    June 2 09:16 AM
  • luci you don?t wanna miss the jai paul release. turns out the best pop/rnb of the year was a leak from 2013
    June 2 08:50 AM
  • Slex Lyrics stopped me from giving it a 5, they?re pretty overbearing some times tbh. Glad you dig tho
    June 1 06:41 PM
  • Slex Lemme know when you give that Sons album a listen my dude
    June 1 05:17 PM
  • TwigTW I think your Kishi Bashi sound-off is right. Have you heard that he's making a movie to go with the album: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/omoiyari-a-songfilm-by-kishi-bashi#/ Can't wait to see it!
    June 1 02:49 PM
  • Slex It?s quite magical. I have it a 3.5 but that?s only after one listen and me kinda holding it at arms length so I don?t get excited and over rate it
    May 31 05:17 PM
  • Slex Man you are gonna absolutely love this Kishi Bashi album, I?m banking you?ll at least 4.2-4.6 it
    May 31 02:20 AM
  • Sinternet hey can you reban aiwaz please
    May 29 01:13 AM
  • Papa Universe if you have the new-music-checking time, this is probably right up your alley: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdxb1PSphaM
    May 28 04:41 PM
  • AsleepInTheBack Solid tape deck heart rating. One of Frank's best imo.
    May 26 10:01 AM
  • I see your Mermaids rating is slowly creeping up. From 3.7 to 3.9, will it make it to a 4? I'm still going in two directions with it, even after more listens. I think the first half is a great neo_psych album (4), but the second half is an Indie Rock album that's not quite as good (3.5). You're lucky. You can vote the in-between numbers... I'll be interested to see your review.
    May 26 09:21 AM
  • artiswar Also wanted to second Strike's inquiry about bringing Kaiwaz back in some capacity. I haven't had any contact with him since his perma-ban, and he seemed borderline suicidal the last time I talked to him on here. Apparently he's still alive and wants to come back, so I'd ask you to seriously consider that. I have 0 clue why he was banned, but he surely deserves another chance, if he does anything egregious again, axe him for good, I don't care.
    May 25 06:05 PM
  • artiswar Hi, you're the only mod I could think of so I'm coming to you. Not sure if you were the one who took down the Hawks thread, but I wanted to say sorry for the inconvenience. I just happened to be quite pissed and disgusted at the time (which is very rare for me) and I needed to vent, but it won't happen again.
    May 25 06:02 PM
  • luci have a friday rec: the new organ tapes is beautiful late-spring ambient pop, delicate and melancholy. he's a former emo rapper but drops the raps here, so all that's left is mysterious lushness. i think you'd vibe
    May 25 04:53 AM
  • TwigTW Yeah, 1996 is great. That full stop in the middle of the song is so much fun. I love Floating In A Vacuum too, but at the other end of the album there's songs like Taxonomy. I'm not so thrilled with that one... I am starting to like that weird little elf voice he sings in sometimes. Maybe the album's a grower. We'll see.
    May 24 06:56 PM
  • TwigTW Right now, I'd give it a 3.8 if I could. I really like it, but at the same time there's something off about it... A couple more spins over the weekend should sort it out for me. But from what you're saying, I guess I shouldn't get my hopes up.
    May 24 05:50 PM
  • luci sweet, her choruses are pure gold. ep from last year is a very worthwhile spin until the album is out =)
    May 24 04:20 AM
  • StrikeOfTheBeast Hello Sowing. Kaiwaz and I were hoping he may be released from his banning. Having spent nearly 15 years on Sputnik, he has dedicated himself to inspire and entertain his fellow Sputnikers whether it be through amusing alts or his reviews and lists. He meant no foul play through his actions and to no cause of harm to others or the site. Many of us and myself miss him and would welcome his return with open arms. I hope you and your fellow staff can find it in your heart to unban him. Warm regards
    May 23 08:07 PM
  • Rev thanks!! will do!
    May 23 11:37 AM
  • Rev sowing!!!! im so sorry i missed your comment by like six months but thank you that means a lot!!! new album is still very much in process (finishing school took up all my time) but i'm hoping to make new headway soon and come back with some new singles and maybe an EP in the near future~
    May 23 01:14 AM
  • luci heads up: we're gonna have our minds blown by hatchie's debut album next month. she's like soccer mommy meets let's eat grandma but better than both imo. check "stay with me" to see what we're in for
    May 23 12:36 AM
  • SlothcoreSam Hey, just posted the setlist for Foxing, under Nearer To God review.
    May 20 05:52 PM
  • Slex Nah you haven't lost a step, both are great
    May 16 09:05 PM
  • Slex Okay fine, Toth is pretty damn good
    May 16 02:35 PM
  • SlothcoreSam Noticed you like Foxing and Brand New. You should check out the new EP by a band called Overgrow, titled "The Name We Share". Best emo release of 2019 by a long way.
    May 16 12:47 AM
  • Tyler. Happy mother's day
    May 12 05:54 PM
  • SandwichBubble Someone was getting the band's profile approved on RYM so I checked their bandcamp on a whim! It's pretty good.
    May 11 08:32 AM
  • PistolPete I'll give those guys a try then too. I just listened to the first song off "Vicious Pleasure" and like what I heard so far. Spotlights will be a heavier than them, but it'll be like getting splashed by the heaviness, not bludgeoned by it.
    May 9 01:25 PM
  • PistolPete You might like the new Spotlight's album if you're feeling something a bit edgier these days. They sound intrumentally like Deftones but with more shoegaze and dreamier vocals. Give the songs "The Particle Noise" and "Continue the Capsize" a try if you need convincing.
    May 9 12:46 PM
  • luci you should check holly herndon's album this friday, this year's oil of every pearl. you'll be fluctuating between a 2 and a 4 in no time :p
    May 9 08:51 AM
  • Drifter I just linked him it in his shoutbox. Hopefully he does it for me.
    May 5 01:35 PM
  • Drifter Oh... Ok. Maybe I'll try idk lol
    May 5 01:23 PM
  • Drifter Hey Sowing. Just wondering how to get a gif profile picture?
    May 5 11:23 AM
  • Slex Nah it really is a lot of different things at once, and I'm busier than ever. As far as Sput goes, I'm 0-3 for contrib and feel it may be time to devote my time elsewhere lol
    May 5 09:37 AM
  • BigHans Definitley jam Separation Sunday and Boys and Girls in America first. They are by far the best Hold Steady albums. Stay Positive is awesome too.

  • JohnnyoftheWell Heya Sowing, just powered through a colossal list write-up ( supporting review) spotlighting a pop artist generally unknown/overlooked here as a decade retrospective and would be super grateful for a feature if there aren't too many lists recently flagged! You should also totally check her out - lots of space left on your SOTD series ;] https://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?listid=187152
    May 1 11:00 PM
  • Atari Lolz, that comment was only meant with love ;)
    May 1 09:32 AM
  • Atari Man that Kevin Morby is growing on me. Bumped it down but has to bump it back up lol. Hail Mary is such a jam
    April 29 11:35 PM
  • hogan900 https://open.spotify.com/track/7ykmWjX3ESTfbXuHgVrT0R?si=1nfgT8vLRAuu8TX5PJADUgSowing check this out asap bby
    April 29 10:02 PM
  • Atari lol yeah it's an interesting choice for album art. glad you enjoyed it, even if you weren't as big on the 2nd half. my rating is definitely subject to change but was feeling pretty hyped about it yesterday. I do wish he'd throw in a few more energetic tracks in there. Dorothy is still my all-time favorite song of his
    April 27 10:23 AM
  • Slex Man I take it back, the first half of Oh My God is a trillion times better than the first Also, check Ceres-We Are A Team, will be shocked if you don't love it, like a more straightforward and grittier Blushing
    April 26 10:28 PM
  • Atari Dude, definitely get on that new Morby
    April 26 09:20 AM
  • Keyblade yo sowing, was wondering if mods can see who pos and neg revs
    April 26 12:32 AM
  • Slex Officially drops at midnight. Also I agree, it really surprised me
    April 25 09:45 PM
  • Slex Have you heard the new Kevin Morby? At least matches Singing Saw for me honestly
    April 25 09:24 PM
  • dmathias52 I'm not sure if this is frowned upon, but would I be able to request a feature for my Kayak Jones review? It was just released this past week and is an independent release/smaller band that otherwise may not get as much attention.
    April 22 06:30 PM
  • neekafat I think Lucy Rose was much better than you gave it credit for btw, might have to review it (;
    April 21 11:47 PM
  • Atari ok nmvd a review is prolly coming this weekend lol. it's prolly a bloated, hyperbolic, subjective mess but w/e, I ****ing love the album ;P
    April 20 02:08 PM
  • Atari yeah I saw, haha. it's been a long week and I'm fighting a bad cold so I doubt I'll be writing anything soon, if I write anything at all. hope that baby is doing great! and make sure to take good care of your lady too. I just feel the need to defend one of my favorite albums of the year, but fwiw I like all TMOE albums, including Dark Bird. have all the LP's on vinyl and this one will be joining the collection as well
    April 19 11:37 PM
  • Atari Anthony Fantano reviewed the new PUP and compared one of the tracks to Sum 41, lmao. Made me chuckle after your comment this morning ;)
    April 18 11:04 PM
  • Slex Pretty convinced it might be the best folk album of this decade tbh
    April 18 04:44 PM
  • Atari Lol, deal! Not sure I?ll actually review it but we?ll see
    April 17 10:43 PM
  • JWT155 Hey man, I don't write reviews often but I just write a new one if you want to check it out.
    April 17 08:22 PM
  • Atari how would you feel about me doing a more positive review for that tallest man on earth? not sure I'll even have time but wanted to run the idea by you. don't care about the feature/flag
    April 17 11:57 AM
  • neekafat Wonderful! I was hoping to review it but I've been so busy and it'd get more people listening to it in your hands (:
    April 16 07:36 PM
  • onionbubs hey since you're a mod (i think), can you an album from the database? i tried putting the new dangerous summer in, but mobile ****ing blows so it made two for some reason
    April 16 03:11 PM
  • neekafat Glorious rating
    April 16 11:49 AM
  • Slex Absolutely no idea why but it just randomly clicked with me how spectacular Lambert is
    April 16 01:34 AM
  • BlushfulHippocrene Have you heard the new Novo Amor song? It's so super good. :3
    April 13 01:04 AM
  • neekafat This new Glen Hansard album is mind-bogglingly good, hopefully will be making some waves on sput
    April 10 04:44 PM
  • dmathias52 Thoughts on the new Ages and Ages? Trying to figure out how high up to queue it in my ?to-listen list?
    April 10 03:50 PM
  • Papa Universe I expect a Sowing 4.5-5.0: https://bayonne.bandcamp.com/album/drastic-measures
    April 7 04:16 PM
  • Nbehre11 Hey Sowing! Got an artist for you to check out and/or add to Sputnik: Ryan Downey. He?s got a super smooth voice, not unlike Matt from The National. Thought you might be interested!
    April 6 11:24 AM
  • Jethro42 Hi Sowing, I have to ask you - if you can answer - how can it be possible that my friend Divaman is not contrib yet? This guy have 157 quality reviews and he got passed over three years in a row. it really saddens him. He's even discouraged. Please, give him consideration... do something, someone. Thanks mate.
    April 3 08:07 PM
  • Atari haha ;) I actually haven't heard a full album by Teen Daze but I remembered you reviewing them and the new singles are pretty chill
    April 3 11:12 AM
  • BigPleb How do I get involved in the podcast, Sowing? Contrib and staff exclusive or?
    April 3 05:37 AM
  • neekafat It's far more traditional but there's a lot of creativity I think you'll like once you let it settle, or I could be wrong (: I enjoyed it about as much as the LP tbh
    April 2 10:12 PM
  • Atari New Teen Daze is sounding nice so far
    April 2 07:38 PM
  • clavier thanks for going through the posts! i appreciate it
    April 2 07:01 PM
  • neekafat Sowing you've gotta check Eilish's ep, I feel like it's more up your alley as far as pop goes
    April 2 04:26 PM
  • Atari That Lucy Rose is quite lovely, thanks for that rec
    April 2 01:01 PM
  • DrGonzo1937 that's awesome, cheer bud
    April 2 09:11 AM
  • Observer quick question when you have a minute. I'm well aware of the question mark bug, so i guess im wondering how reviewers are getting the make-shift question mark in their reviews.
    April 2 01:15 AM
  • Atari I'm mostly just giving you s***. never lumped her under that category before but if any of her albums can be lumped under the whole "sadgurl" thing, this is it ;)
    April 1 12:14 PM
  • Observer Thanks, yep there it is under my name. Hell freezes over.
    March 31 06:58 PM
  • Atari so sick of the sad indie chick thing eh? I see that Laura Stevenson 4.5 lmao
    March 31 04:57 PM
  • Observer Yeah I agree with that. At least on metacritic, the average review score of the site itself is taken into account and is looked at by a lot of people. Can't be like Absolutepunk (RIP) and love everything. Reviewers here tend to review what they like the most, and that's always been a trend.
    March 31 02:07 PM
  • Observer Oh no, its fine. Its not a good album anyway, so little reason to promote it much. But that's good for the site, right? A lot of people covering new releases.
    March 31 01:57 PM
  • Observer Appreciate the feature, my friend.
    March 31 01:50 PM
  • DoofDoof You say that but you do know I give out a lot of high ratings too? I think that is the frustrating thing for me, when I can be positive about an album (like the new Avey tare) I am there on it, supporting it loads. I guess I have fondness for the whole rating scale, I like that there is music I find not to my taste in an interesting or funny way. I like to presume people think I am not being too dictatorial about things, but I guess feelings can get hurt posting stuff on the 'negative' range :/
    March 29 02:52 PM
  • DoofDoof I was banned in August last year I think and I gave the place a three month swerve - spent my time on RYM and the AOTY site. Both totally rubbish for chat and there were a few users I only had contact with through sput and did not want to lose touch with...so I returned after a mini hissy fit.
    March 29 02:40 PM
  • DoofDoof since I returned from my three month sput exile I can assure you I have the thickest skin on the site and never anything less than total respect for your efforts ;D
    March 29 02:34 PM
  • Toondude10 sure thing! I mean I make the articles, might as well make it look nice instead of being lazy about it.
    March 29 11:51 AM
  • neekafat By the way, I think you would absolutely fall for the new Nilufer Yanya album, finishing up my review for it right now!
    March 29 12:24 AM
  • neekafat man that song was really nice
    March 28 11:46 PM
  • neekafat "I'm so over the sad indie chick thing" I keep telling myself the same thing but I'm always proven wrong again and again ): Will check!
    March 28 11:09 PM
  • Atari does my delayed response answer your question? lol nah, don't sweat it man. It's definitely an adjustment at first, but you'll still find time for the interests your passionate about. the main thing is you'll have to be more flexible as to when that free time is since that new baby is gonna basically be running the show ;) and might have to just sacrifice a little sleep at times
    March 28 01:43 PM
  • Observer Appreciate it. We'll see what the future holds. I'd like to progress as a writer again, but without falling into bad past habits. lol too self critical and "in my head" too much or something. Anyway, cheers.
    March 28 12:39 AM
  • Skoj just wanted to tell you that I've enjoyed your reviews and music criticisms about as much as anyone here, and your playlist ****ing kills.
    March 27 09:18 PM
  • Observer I was going to do the wrens meadowlands and even started a doc but i watched some of that tribute concert and just had to go with fr
    March 27 12:40 PM
  • Tyler. https://plug.dj/hotel-tyler
    March 26 10:34 PM
  • neekafat Woaahhhhhhh I don't think I could see myself 5'ing it just because the post hardcore is pretty far from my style but I'm dangerously close to 4.5'ing it. And I'm excited to see your ratings! I wonder what you think of their debut, I think it's severely overrated but still
    March 26 10:19 PM
  • Slex Of course! Always happy to share the wealth and have people to talk with about the music I love
    March 26 08:52 PM
  • neekafat Lemme know whatcha think (:
    March 26 12:29 PM
  • neekafat Now that you're a La Dispute convert you have to check the Here, Hear 3 EP asap, it was my favorite release by them until Panorama, some tracks have serious BN vibes
    March 26 02:19 AM
  • Atari yeah that song (and those lyrics in particular) **** me up lol. I don't feel quite as strongly about the rest yet, but that track just floored me in the best way
    March 25 06:34 PM
  • Asura14 Fair enough, thank you Sowing.
    March 25 04:48 PM
  • Asura14 Been getting into The National by your suggestion since I found Pink Rabbits absolutely beautiful... I started with The Trouble Will Find Me and enjoyed it, should I pick up high violet next? Any suggestions?
    March 25 02:11 PM
  • Atari WILL I EVER PLACE FLOWERS IN THE STREET?!?!
    March 25 12:58 PM
  • Dewinged Haha thanks man. Can't wait to get hated and despised by all that once loved me.
    March 25 11:07 AM
  • Dewinged No problem dude! Thanks!
    March 21 06:41 AM
  • Dewinged Sow, where's my avy? lol
    March 20 09:55 PM
  • Dylan620 Thoughts on "A Curse of Cynicism?" First Dear Hunter track to snatch a 5/5 from me, that chorus is MASSIVE
    March 19 08:55 PM
  • StarlessCore Wow no chance to even respond! Brootal
    March 19 08:54 PM
  • Dewinged Sowing, sorry for the late reply, it was night time here. I went for a new avy. Resized it to 200px, jpg, (taking yours as an example, I wasn't sure of the measures) and uploaded it here. https://imgur.com/Na4y5on
    March 18 08:23 PM
  • Dewinged Whatever is easier for you Sow. That will do!
    March 18 11:19 AM
  • Slex Very interested to see what ya think of La Dispute, lemme know what ya think when ya get the chance
