  • Toondude10 glad you like it, been trying to get Sowing to listen to them
    November 25 10:31 PM
  • Toondude10 Here's something you might like https://open.spotify.com/album/7uFEipdH6Fb6G7AcSNvbU8
    November 23 05:00 PM
  • Jom ... Soen, Nothing But Thieves, Nothing More (I wasn't that big of a fan but it seems like a Davey record), is it cliche to say The Smith Street Band?, maybe PVRIS, I quite liked the new And So I Watch You From Afar (but I also liked 'Heirs', and people hated that record). In a similar vein to ASIWYFA: tricot, Lysistrata. Oh, and definitely the new Menzingers, obviously. TBC...
    November 20 08:32 AM
  • Jom Well, the new Propagandhi shreds, so that's my first Davey rec. You might dig that Sorority Noise record, too (same goes for The World Is a Beautiful Place...). If you liked previous Lunatic Soul records (Mariusz from Riverside's side project), the new one is great (a little more electronic flourishes compared to previous records). Another vote for Daniel Cavanaugh's (Anathema) 'Monochrome' record. To be continued...
    November 20 08:14 AM
  • Jom I'm working on your list (sorry for the delay, just tragically busy), I promise!

    September 9 04:43 PM
  • SowingSeason Yeah man had no idea they even existed and now they're one of my favorite bands. I love when that happens. So what's your rating for their new album going to be? :-)
    September 1 11:00 PM
  • Toondude10 better late than never?
    July 28 08:15 AM
  • Toondude10 there's also that new Manchester Orchestra album which should peak you interest. Everyone is practically masturbating over it.
    July 27 08:03 AM
  • Toondude10 I did rec that band Fight the Fade for you way back when. I still recommend you check them out, they're really good. I also recommend Earthside if you're in the prog rock mood.
    July 27 07:35 AM
  • Toondude10 damnit Davey where have you been?

  • SowingSeason Ooh OK I will! Thanks man, it's time consuming but worth the effort! How's life?
    March 27 09:24 PM
  • ATARI hey man I know it's late but if you're still wanting some 2016 recs I have a feeling you'd really love fossil youth - a glimpse of self joy. been jamming it a ton lately
    December 16 10:59 PM
  • Rigma Almost 2016 ratings
    December 7 04:45 PM
  • ATARI glad to hear it man, always good to hear from you! that tiny moving parts might make my top 10 actually, seems to have a lot of lasting power. I'm terrible at ranking albums because it all comes down to what mood I'm in etc. but trying to rack my brain for a loose ranking of my top 25
    December 6 06:16 PM
  • SowingSeason Check out All Get Out - Nobody Likes A Quitter. Very Manchester Orchestra like, I dunno just seems up your alley and usually when I 4.5 something it's worth a 3 or so from you ; )
    November 7 08:40 PM
  • ToWhatEnd So I clicked on an old review of mine and read some of your incredible comments. Appreciated beyond belief. Thanks for all the love. Hope life is good.
    October 29 11:03 PM
  • ToWhatEnd I was just trying to keep it 100 ;)
    October 29 10:10 PM
  • AmericnZero02 Let me know if there's any new stuff you've found that I need to look into!
    October 25 02:39 PM
  • AmericnZero02 I'm still here! (on and off) but apparently am terrible at checking my shoutbox. All is well here! 2016 hasn't been a great year for my music library either. The new Too Close to Touch record was a bit disappointing, but not without at least a few highlights. I've been spinning the new Paper Route record; it's pretty solid. They're alt rock/electronic/pop I guess you could say. The new Drawing North album (another aussie band) is catchy as hell. It's pretty darn poppy though.
    October 25 02:29 PM
  • SowingSeason Thanks for the kind words, ilu bro. Sputnik misses you and I hope things are looking up in life.
    September 29 09:47 PM
  • Toondude10 I think I found something you'd like, it's been out for a good while now https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q86UbYIX-EY
    September 29 09:02 PM
  • Toondude10 new Too Close To Touch album is out!
    September 22 09:38 PM
  • Willie Awesome. It's a really good album, but I can see how it could take a few listens if it's not usually your thing. Cool that you made the effort.
    September 8 09:02 AM
  • Jom 1 to what Sowing said. As long as your e-mail is still open I'll buy you the record and send it to your e-mail.
    August 23 03:52 PM
  • SowingSeason :( email me if you need anything at all.
    August 23 07:28 AM
  • SowingSeason yeah when you have ample time I'm sure you'll enjoy it. hope all is well, sput isn't the same without davey reviews
    August 23 06:47 AM
  • SowingSeason yeah dude check bayside like atari saidnew album seems like essential daveycore
    August 23 06:32 AM
  • Jom Greetings! Here's my best guess for "You may like"s: Gates (Parallel Lives - check "Left Behind" and "Shiver"); Rival Sons (Hollow Bones - check "Black Coffee" and "Thundering Voices"); PUP (The Dream is Over); Three Trapped Tigers (Silent Earthling); obvious Butch Walker (Stay Gold) recommendation (streaming on Pandora); new blink-182; Thank You Scientist; Polyenso; Bayside; Frameworks; Big Ups. More to come. Hope you're well!
    August 22 12:33 PM
  • ATARI new bayside was released a week early on apple music if you have it (it rules)
    August 12 12:39 PM
  • ATARI I actually think you'd love the new tiny moving parts as well! It's a lot more energetic than their past albums
    August 7 10:18 PM
  • ATARI No problem man, you'll have to let me know what u think about some of those. Cool hearing from u.
    August 7 10:07 PM
  • Toondude10 oh an check out that new Thank You Scientist album, I'm pretty sure you'll dig it. There's also the new Hands Like Houses too.
    August 7 07:13 AM
  • Toondude10 there's also the new Emarosa album but I didn't really like it.
    August 6 02:30 PM
  • Toondude10 new Relient K, not sure how much you're into them but they pretty much fit all of those descriptions. I also recommend Fight The Fade, I'm pretty sure you'll dig them, especially their second album.
    August 6 02:20 PM
  • ATARI *slow burners lol
    August 6 11:47 AM
  • ATARI Oh yeah the new modern baseball is pretty good, more accessible than their past stuff. And the new Hotelier is pretty great as well but does have a lot of slow burgers on it (two deliverance is catchy as hell though)
    August 6 11:46 AM
  • ATARI The new relient k is also pretty good if u like them, and the new blink-182 is bloated but has some damn catchy songs. Trash boat has a pretty decent LP this year too. Hmm what else...there's been some solid EPs: the starting line, can't swim, Aaron west and the roaring twenties, the Ataris. Honestly not a ton of amazing stuff tho, PUP and Direct Hit! are the two major standouts imo
    August 6 11:44 AM
  • ATARI Hey man, great to hear from u! Ya, I've been on a metal binge but I'll always love pop-punk (nostalgia is a powerful thing). I actually made a pop-punk list in June that has a bunch of my favorites. As far as this year, the new PUP and Direct Hit! albums I reviewed are excellent. The first 2 songs on that PUP album are pretty abrasive so if u don't like them some of the later songs are catchy as hell.
    August 6 11:36 AM
  • NorwichScene Hi Dave, I can't think of much either so far this year. One album that surprised me was I See Stars - Treehouse, although doubt its your thing. Modern Baseball - Holy Ghost is awesome
    August 6 11:36 AM
  • SowingSeason Hey man glad to hear from you! They're not necessarily the best from this year, but these are catchy 4's or higher for me: The 1975, The Strumbellas, Weezer, M83. The newest album by each, respectively.
    August 6 11:23 AM
  • trackbytrackreviews Fair enough :^]
    July 4 02:39 PM
  • trackbytrackreviews hey, you reviewd Simple Plan's Get Your Heart On!, have you listened to Get Your Heart On Second Coming? It's a follow up EP to that album
    June 29 05:46 AM
  • Toondude10 awesome, you've missed quite a bit
    June 18 01:50 PM
  • Toondude10 You're alive! :D
    June 15 01:19 PM
  • ATARI I do hope it was nothing too serious keeping u away man, but if you ever want to chat feel free - atari857@outlook.com.
    March 10 09:51 AM
  • Arcade no need to apologize at all. i've had a chat with Sowing and i have no hard feelings towards anyone; the way i see it, i'll get a promotion when the time comes and its deserved. until then i've just got to do my best to improve and maintain my standards as a writer.
    March 10 08:27 AM
  • ATARI No explanation necessary man, that's funny I didn't even see you commented on Sowing's post before - was just randomly thinking about how I haven't seen u around here lately. Glad to see you stop by :] I hope you stick around, but either way make sure to take care of yourself dude
    March 9 10:51 PM
  • ATARI miss your presence around here lately Davey :/
    March 9 07:50 PM
  • SowingSeason It's awesome to hear from you man, and sent you a lengthy reply for you to peruse at your leisure :)
    March 6 08:42 AM
  • OwMySnauze That's good to hear! At least it made it to your list! It was definitely a sleeper of the year.
    December 28 02:18 AM
  • Jom Your dibbing presence is required at your earliest convenience (please and thank you!).
    December 9 08:21 AM
  • JWT155 Hey man, I've always admired your reviews and opinions, I've been here for 6 years and finally found the courage to post my first review in a long time, I'd appreciate it if you took a quick glance and any thoughts or advice you would have on it. Cheers.
    December 3 01:33 AM
  • TalonsOfFire Don't let the haters get you down you staff i mean you could just permaban they asses if they talkin' smack bout your taste hahaha
    November 22 10:23 PM
  • TalonsOfFire I don't know about that, not everyone is like Artuma if you're thinking of what he said in that thread a little while back.
    November 22 10:04 PM
  • TalonsOfFire Aw thought you would still be in the 290s in your reviews and was gonna suggest you do your 300th for black album, could really use a staff rev, especially one who has the perspective of being 5/5
    November 22 11:19 AM
  • trackbytrackreviews Yeah I saw that, I was reading the... mini-reviews? and I saw your rating down there; I really like reading your... mini-reviews that you post on the comments. Since there's no review for it and I'm a big fan, I'll review sometime this or next week.
    November 19 06:06 PM
  • trackbytrackreviews What did you think of the latest Alesana album?
    November 19 12:53 PM
  • NorwichScene I'd be very interested to know if Young Guns album made your top 40. It was let down of the year for me
    November 19 09:21 AM
  • NorwichScene Just done my AOTY list. I'm preparing for the haters again lol
    November 19 08:10 AM
  • skoopy48 I did not, they kinda remind me of man overboard/handguns, just a bit too corny for me.
    November 13 04:28 PM
  • Toondude10 It's a bit more poppy yeah but I still really like it. I think it's better than Odd Soul at least.
    November 13 08:58 AM
  • Toondude10 New Mutemath is out, just thought you'd like to know.
    November 13 08:02 AM
  • skoopy48 Ah ok, yeah let me give it another listen. I would highly recommend the new Pentimento album though.
    November 13 01:46 AM
  • skoopy48 What don't you like about it? I thought it was really pretty and I enjoyed the vocals among other things.
    November 12 06:52 PM
  • skoopy48 Uh oh, lemme give it another whirl
    November 12 10:27 AM
  • SowingSeason Cool, hope all is well
    November 12 07:00 AM
  • SowingSeason Well I'll await that announcement, I hope it's not what I think because you're one of the best around.
    November 12 06:14 AM
  • SowingSeason Olympus early?
    November 12 03:57 AM
  • NorwichScene Jeez just seen your comments number. I should use Sputnik more lol
    November 12 03:35 AM
  • SowingSeason I don't know about that whole me-surpassing-you thing, you've been a machine lately and I haven't been nearly as active as I have in the past. Not that it matters, lol. Hopefully we are both still around reviewing for a while .
    November 12 03:15 AM
  • ASnideReturns The new Coldrain is great, much better production, faster and harder than their previous releases.
    November 7 02:28 AM
  • LotusFlower Maybe one or two of the new tracks fall flat, but the rest are all as stellar as the EP. Also the two bonus tracks are godly.
    November 6 08:31 PM
  • schoonda A definite departure for sure, however after weapons I feel this has more potential, and is much better as a whole
    November 6 07:32 PM
  • ATARI I'm the same way man haha. I really don't have many negative ratings at all
    November 6 05:32 PM
  • Toondude10 neat! can't wait! :D
    November 6 07:47 AM
  • ATARI if you just check out 3-4 songs make sure valentine is one of them ;) honestly it's not a fantastic album prolly a 3/5 for me but I just love that song
    November 5 07:03 PM
  • Toondude10 really missing Sputnik Discusses rn :-(
    November 5 08:54 AM
  • ATARI if you haven't heard seasons change - please don't leave I think you'd really enjoy it. pretty similar to state champs - nothing original about them, but catchy as hell
    November 4 02:20 PM
  • SowingSeason It's weird that's the single if his vocal lead is an anomaly...and at the risk of sounding naive/American, should I have heard of California?
    November 3 05:32 AM
  • SowingSeason You're definitely right about how catchy it is; I thought the song was just okay but I haven't been able to get it out of my head for hours after just one listen haha.
    November 3 04:39 AM
  • theacademy belatedthanks for the mel rec... good shiiiiit
    November 2 09:52 AM
  • SowingSeason Can't say I've heard of them, but would be willing to give them a chance. Have a song to recommend?
    November 2 09:13 AM
  • Arcade saw it on the shelf at work yesterday so bought it there and then, didn't anticipate it at all lol. but yeah, the whole album is indicative of "Let's Go"- that is, flat and pragmatic rewrites of songs they did far better on Hysteria and Pyromania. Joe's vocals are especially s***e : (
    November 1 06:57 AM
  • Arcade very unimpressive stuff agreed
    November 1 05:07 AM
  • Arcade thoughts on new def leppard?
    November 1 04:19 AM
  • Jacquibim Bro I have renounced my metalhead ways I'm all about Joanna Newsom now for I was lost but now am found
    October 31 12:56 AM
  • Jacquibim Was it pretty not good? idk I've never voluntarily listened to a DL song -engages flame shield-
    October 31 12:29 AM
  • Jacquibim Get the hype train rolling yo it'll be TPAB all over again
    October 31 12:24 AM
  • Jacquibim I don't see why not?
    October 30 11:31 PM
  • Jacquibim Holy hell, I never realised you had 299 reviews! Got anything planned for number 300?
    October 30 07:23 AM
  • JonEthan Would you have any good recs for pop music Davey? I've been trying to get into some older stuff that ain't the Beatles.
    October 28 12:40 AM
  • skoopy48 Ah, ok, well my knowledge with 80's music is sadly lacking, but I definitely wouldn't be surprised if they were stealing melodies. They even seem to copy themselves sometimes (this means war especially sounds eerily similar) I think this one is definitely more over the top to coincide with the Goonies theme I guess.
    October 21 03:44 PM
  • skoopy48 Yeah its kinda overblown and cheesy, but there is an energy level that is missing from most other pop rock bands that makes it more enjoyable for me. And jeez with those hooks I don't know why you aren't running towards it 5 in hand. There's definitely a couple filler songs (Shut up and kiss me and one love) so I may bring it down to a 3.5, but its definitely no 1.5.
    October 20 08:46 PM
  • skoopy48 I think that's part of the appeal for me. Its kinda refreshing to hear the Queen esque harmonies and raw vocal talent in the overproduced pop world now. I also think that they are one of the few pop bands that can be somewhat unpredictable with their song structures and tempo changes but at the same time just very very catchy. I think that they excel in writing catchy pop albums that can be enjoyed as a whole.
    October 20 08:42 PM
  • schoonda Given the new No Devotion LP a spin yet?
    October 7 05:36 PM
  • elcrawfodor Alright Davey, I'm gonna need some darker female pop along the lines of that Meg Myers album, seriously I can't stop listening to it.
    October 6 01:00 AM
  • skoopy48 It depends on if you enjoyed the first album or not, because it sounds pretty similar. I'm a sucker for just about anything Jonny Craig but the album is kinda generic and long. I wouldn't listen expecting to be blown away, but as a fan of his past stuff I found it pretty decent.
    October 3 12:44 PM
  • Toondude10 Introducing a much less s***tier version of Dance Gavin Dance! http://orangesmusic.bandcamp.com/
    September 25 08:34 AM
  • Toondude10 how about I give you a song instead? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKy60ZE7pHo
    September 19 09:43 AM
  • Toondude10 They're like neo-prog metal. kinda like Roshloo, Arcane, Haken, stuff like that. Don't know if you're into that but if you are then I'd recommend them.
    September 19 08:42 AM
  • schoonda I can't be alone in thinking that they would come back softer than previous efforts. Boy was I wrong.
    September 13 06:10 PM
  • schoonda https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJxGrStt5ws please tell me you're excited as I am for the new Fightstar album.
    September 12 08:28 PM
  • SowingSeason She's great. I the energy in her vocal style. "Here" is brilliant.
    September 12 03:36 PM
  • Toondude10 awesome, it's a great album too.
    September 6 10:09 AM

    September 1 09:34 AM
  • Arcade dearly missing sputnik discusses :(
    September 1 12:16 AM
  • Toondude10 The new Dear Hunter album comes out this week!
    August 31 09:11 PM
  • Jom Adding it to the list. Cheers for the recommendation!
    August 28 01:20 PM
  • Mort. ahh fair enough. i too am slacking on 2015 releases. anyway, i look forward to their return
    August 28 11:37 AM
  • Mort. whatever happened to the sputnik disccuses posts? i rather enjoyed them
    August 28 10:45 AM
  • Willie No problem. I really like that Atlas Losing Grip album. I wanted to review it, but never had the chance. You might also try Pyogenesis - A Century in the Curse of Time. The first song might be too 'metal' but I could see you liking the rest. It came out in August in Europe and will come out in September in the US (don't know about Australia).
    August 24 02:11 PM
  • Toondude10 Did you ever listen to that new Hey Rosetta! album at all?
    August 17 05:42 PM
  • Toondude10 Since I know you like Dead Letter Circus, their new album just came out. But wheeeeeew it stinks.
    August 16 09:09 PM
  • Deviant. It's kinda hard to say with you honestly. I'd say it has more luck than most to win you over. It's certainly catchy, in a bedroom producer kind of way
    August 15 11:29 PM
  • Toondude10 Yeah their debut album is great. Granted it's not particularly original but the vocals are so good.
    August 12 10:18 AM
  • Toondude10 Here you go Davey, just discovered these guys on a lark yesterday: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SuS8RXor0BA
    August 11 06:21 PM
  • schoonda Never really got into them, the singles from their debut LP are rad and Bones is just amazing, but for some reason they just didn't click for me. Just listened to rising up, can't say I was too impressed however.
    August 8 09:53 PM
  • schoonda interested what you think of the new don broco album. not 100% sold to be honest, but definitely catchy!
    August 8 12:28 AM
  • Toondude10 well I guess that's fair enough. which one you think will be next?
    August 6 09:14 PM
  • Toondude10 when is Sputnik Discusses coming back?
    August 5 12:35 PM
  • BeneaththeDarkOcean Hey Davey! Listening to that new Sasha Siem, pretty crazy sounds out of that record. You gonna do a review?
    July 28 06:08 PM
  • RoundOnEndHiInMiddle Thanks Davey! But yeah, give it a jam sometime. Pretty solid stuff
    July 23 05:17 AM
  • Toondude10 I just remembered, you haven't listened to the new Hey Rosetta! album yet.
    July 17 09:18 PM
  • Toondude10 you know, with albums being released on Firday now, how about a discussion? I know I've been rec-ing a lot of these but it's just a thought.
    July 11 12:29 PM
  • Toondude10 fair enough, I liked that album a bit even though it's not really original. Has a kind of Muse vibe to it. (At least for me it does unlike Red XP)
    July 11 12:10 PM
  • Toondude10 I think you might like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4FwMux9Jrw
    July 11 12:04 PM
  • Fugue Hah, as if anyone else even remembers who I am :P I'm thinking of giving the FFS album a go actually. You heard it?
    July 9 07:55 PM
  • Ponton if i am sober enough to vote it will
    July 6 08:49 PM
  • Toondude10 yeah that is pretty much my overall opinion of it as well. Right now the average for it is perfect for me. Though the last three songs are great imo.
    July 4 08:29 PM
  • ATARI just looking out for you cause i know you reviewed their last one - it is slightly underwhelming at first but gets more enjoyable with repeated listens. still, i know he's capable of better and it would be nice if he put out an entire solo album rather than just EP's
    June 29 07:51 PM
  • ATARI new anthony raneri EP is out if you didn't notice
    June 29 12:51 PM
  • Fugue I'm also being worked like a slave IRL, but in return I'm being taken to Germany for the next 5 days so that's pretty exciting I guess. Also kinda maybe feeling a review coming on, haven't really stretched my writing skills in a while - and I've just noticed that like the Nostradamus I am, my prediction of a new Foals album this year was indeed correct! Quite enjoying the blogs btw.
    June 23 05:33 PM
  • CalculatingInfinity I do since I follow Botchamania and OSW Review, it had too much of a big impact on my life and I love the dumb s***/complexities in the wrestling industry so much I can't not stay in touch. If you have 2 hours free someday I highly recommend you watch this, OSW reviewed Summerslam 92 which is Davey's biggest moment in wrestling. They reviewed the whole Hulkamania era if you're intrested, hilarious lads: https://vimeo.com/68310381
    June 23 09:30 AM
  • CalculatingInfinity Just saw your profile, and British Bulldog picture and reference nice. "There is no bull, in this British Bulldog" ;)

  • elcrawfodor You said to let you know next time I had a review for feedback, well it's here three months later, concept-album free. I know metal isn't your forte but would appreciate anything you had to say!
    June 19 08:07 PM
  • Toondude10 I'll admit I thought it was a little too long at first but then I remembered it's a concept album :P
    June 19 07:23 AM
  • Toondude10 Did you listen to that new Dear Hunter song?
    June 18 10:19 PM
  • ATARI just based on the 2 songs i've heard from the new album, it does sound pretty similar to their last album, but still great. I'm just glad you're reviewing it, they're underrated and deserve some more exposure on sput!
    June 18 07:59 PM
  • ATARI i see your jamming the new versus the world! you get a promo? on another note, you should check out sorority noise, i think you'd dig
    June 18 04:03 PM
  • Toondude10 You know with Breaking Benjamin's new album I just thought of a discussion topic: Reunions! Some of your favorite bands from the past reuniting after a hiatus or break-up and possibly doing new material. I've got a couple of bands I can think of (*cough* Tool *cough*).
    June 16 11:01 PM
  • Toondude10 Yeah I'll admit it's probably their weakest since their debut. It has a few pretty good songs though.
    June 16 09:01 AM
  • Toondude10 Dear Hunter song came out http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2u1i7e_the-dear-hunter-a-night-on-the-town_music

  • Toondude10 Did you ever listen to this yet or is it still on your "delayed" list? https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-XbTEkQt3TZO1wznlyvZpbotymY6PDvy
    June 14 08:15 PM
  • ATARI *their new album
    June 13 08:35 PM
  • ATARI Sounds good man! Funny enough I was gonna tell u the other day u should review there new album haha. Seems like it was forever ago they announced homesick/roadsick honestly.
    June 13 08:34 PM
  • Ecnalzen Sometimes, I think I am just a sucker for Gustav's singing voice, and I probably won't ever really dislike anything the do purely for that, ha ha. They pretty much went straight pop/rock on here, but I still think it turned out fine. It's even more stripped down musically than Bones was from Kings. They were going for the hooks, I guess. SwS have some fun stuff, but I just can't handle that dudes singing voice.
    June 12 09:52 PM
  • Ecnalzen I just noticed the new Young Guns has been getting crapped on a bit here, so I was curious what you thought of it. I def don't think it's better than their first two, but I still really like it, and I'm glad they haven't tried to make the same album twice yet.
    June 12 01:31 PM
  • Ecnalzen Have you heard new Young Guns and/or Emery, yet, Davey?
    June 11 03:29 PM
  • paradox1216 Oh man I concur with atari do the silverstein discographyBut anyway I'm here to say that you calling me Double D reminds me of my elementary school days :D so nostalgic lol
    June 6 01:47 AM
  • ATARI how have you not heard silverstein's discog srsly
    June 5 01:40 PM
  • Toondude10 Kerrang! gave it a 5/5 and it's at an 84 on Metacritic last time I checked.
    June 5 07:36 AM
  • Toondude10 Lol, well I'd consider it, half-hype or something. After all it is on the trending list :P
    June 4 07:25 PM
  • Toondude10 found a stream for Drones if you're interested: http://www.goldenmp3.ru/muse/drones
    June 4 01:18 PM
  • Toondude10 ah okay then
    June 3 09:17 AM
  • SowingSeason Huh that is weird. I figured you weren't into her enough to dl a leak but cool!
    June 3 08:38 AM
  • SowingSeason New Zella Day is out. I think you'd like it. Because you're me.
    June 3 08:25 AM
  • Toondude10 Also I haven another idea for a discussion (I'm practically throwing them at you :P), how about local bands? Not just small time bands that you've seen/heard at a concert some 20 years ago, although they're included, but even famous bands that I'm sure most people on the site will know about.
    June 2 09:03 PM
  • Toondude10 ah, okay. That's a good topic to do I guess. I do enjoy me some acoustic songs every now and then.
    June 2 08:47 PM
  • Toondude10 Just curious, will the next discussion be the one on covers?
    June 2 08:36 PM
  • OmairSh Oh okay, thanks anyway
    May 30 09:11 PM
  • OmairSh Hey I just wanted to ask how to embed a soundcloud link in a review?
    May 30 04:05 PM
  • trackbytrackreviews Is there a rule against having scary gifs/images as your avatar?
    May 27 05:19 PM
  • Toondude10 Did you ever listen to that new 10 Years album?
    May 26 06:48 PM
  • tempest-- hahaha I came here to be like "omg Davey, Def Leppard Aus tour!" looks like Arcade here beat me to it!
    May 25 10:49 AM
  • Arcade perth is basically the anus of Australia in fairness
    May 25 10:33 AM
  • Arcade was surprised by how few dates there are. and wtf is with Live opening? crazy times, i tell ya
    May 25 09:33 AM
  • Arcade it's a midrange open air amphitheater, so i guess they're going for a more intimate air this time around. last time they played NIB Stadium so it's a fair step down in terms of capacity
    May 25 07:27 AM
  • Arcade this will be my first time seeing them, seeing as they were my favourite band for a solid year in high school i feel I owe it myself
    May 25 04:28 AM
  • Arcade so on a scale from 9 to 9, how excited are you for the Def Leppard tour?
    May 24 08:48 PM
  • Toondude10 Yeah it's a pretty decent album, though some of the songs sound too similar to each other.
    May 20 10:11 AM
  • Toondude10 here you go, just discovered these guys and thought you might enjoy this: https://play.spotify.com/album/0FyPTDIxMz7vdDltTfLcce
    May 19 12:17 PM
  • Toondude10 gosh there so much things about music to talk about :P
    May 18 07:16 PM
  • Toondude10 here's another idea for a discussion: concept albums
    May 18 10:17 AM
  • Toondude10 That's a neat idea! I'd say go for it.
    May 18 10:12 AM
  • Jom When people complain that their ratings disappeared due to trolling, I tell them that we're in the same boat, with one obvious exception!
    May 12 03:51 PM
  • AmericnZero02 Great! I'm really glad you liked those records. Before the Storm and I Know I are a couple of my favorites. I slightly prefer Burn also. I enjoyed the more moody atmosphere of Isla along with it being a more varied album. but the hooks weren't quite on par with Burn and it has a bit more filler. Like you said, probably a transitional album. They're already working on their third album so we won't have to wait long to see where they go next!
    May 11 11:33 AM
  • Brostep Will definitely check him out - thanks for the tip-off!
    May 8 12:50 PM
  • Toondude10 Introducing the greatest music video of all time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTidn2dBYbY
    May 7 10:19 AM
  • SowingSeason I have not been fostering, but if I come up with something I'll let you know immediately!
    April 30 04:11 AM
  • SowingSeason Do you want to write about the new Breaking Benjamin June 23? I don't think I'll be able to/want to when that time rolls around...
    April 28 11:46 AM
  • AmericnZero02 Ok, yeah. That TCTT record is really good. Not the most varied of albums, but really polished and leagues more mature than most bands' debut. I'm looking forward to see what those guys do in the future.
    April 25 05:22 PM
  • Toondude10 Thanks! Yeah it's kinda disappointing honestly but there are some really solid songs, especially the last three.
    April 24 09:16 AM
  • Toondude10 That new 10 Years album is out in case if your interested.
    April 24 08:08 AM
  • trackbytrackreviews Any chance you could chance the name of mewithoutyou's fourth album to it's full title aka It's All Crazy! It's All False! It's All a Dream! It's Alright, pretty please
    April 19 09:26 PM
  • SowingSeason I quite like your list but I'm not familiar with all of it. I'll check the Olympus list too I'm sure there's great ideas in there. And yeah, if someone I don't know shows up and drinks the bar clean out of beer, I'll know who to blame (Ponton). People say married life is different, what's your experience? I don't expect much to change honestly, been w/ this girl for 3 years and prior to that was 5 years of unrequited love and Yellowcard songs - me, not her unfortunately.
    April 8 05:48 AM
  • SowingSeason Ooh cool thanks. I already had every intention of including Anberlin's " Inevitable " but I'll check out the others I haven't heard of. I'm trying to find that small area of overlap between cliche romantic pop and hipster indie music. Anberlin is the closest to total agreement as the fiancee and I have come so far. I know it will end up being more of the cliche stuff though because the less accessible stuff simply doesn't work for a wedding...
    April 8 04:04 AM
  • SowingSeason staff peeps for recs that would be more wedding suitable. I forget how long ago it was but I seem to recall you did something similar? So yeah anyway we're at that stage right now where it's becoming very real that it's actually going to happen and we're tackling smaller items we never would have thought of from a year away, such as seating arrangements. It's gonna be an open bar so I have this sneaking suspicion that Ponton, Dev will show up outta nowhere.
