| Leatherneck you liked the new Dikembe and Glocca Morra? get the new Everyone Everywhere ASAP then
| Satellite "is it just me or does it sound like chris mccaughan is singing on most of these songs?" brendan uses his softer voice somewhat often with tla (especially on oh calcutta) so it's possible you were confusing him with chris in those instances.

| Yuli Huh. I'll check out the new Fireworks album! And it's really ambient electronica/dubstep. The best way to describe it is to not describe it, and to send it to you- http://lodubs.bandcamp.com/album/swarms-old-raves-endI really like the atmospheres in it. Also, have you heard Roads to Judah by Deafheaven? It may be my top of 2011 thus far.
| Yuli I've found myself enjoying Defeater the most, although I haven't heard a TON of albums this year. I've been trying, though. I heard the new album, "Old Raves End" by Swarms, and I really liked what I heard; I have a feeling it'd be right up my alley if I gave it a chance. And yeah, I've been listening to Scurrilous a lot as well. Tongue-Splitter has been stuck in my head all day...
| Yuli I agree. I've definitely decided I prefer Dillinger Escape Plan now, though; their abrasive angle towards their music works so much better for me these days. What have been your favorites of 2011 so far? I've been so impressed with the year.

| Yuli I know what you mean; there were some parts in Alaska that were just insane. I'm not forgetting Croakies and Boatshoes; there's not a thing I like about that song, lol. But All Bodies and Autodidact, and Selkies? Those songs all had great, great heavy sections. And I love how there are recurring ideas in their new songs; with Specular Reflection especially, after hearing the song about ten times, you still pick up on rhythms that are played later in the song, and it's more of a patchwork feel.
| Yuli Ah, I see you also like BATS!
I agree; I just remember Informal Gluttony, and how all of the heavy aspects of the song didn't appeal to me one bit. The heavy parts in Specular Reflection are fantastic, because they actually hold my interest! And I actually feel the same towards a lot of Augment of Rebirth. If they can successfully do that more in the future, I will be an even bigger fan.
| Yuli I see what you mean; I don't find myself in the mood for it very often. I enjoy a few songs on the Discovery, but the rest don't click with me too well. And I see what you mean. Sadly, I find the second heavy part in Lunar Widerness pretty boring, but overall the song is pretty great. I definitely enjoy Specular Reflection the most though...
| Yuli Oh, I see! I'm glad you enjoy it so much. I haven't been able to get into it as much... I wish I could dig it more, but I'm hanging around a 3 or a 3.5 right now. If you have any tips for things to help me get into it, let me know, dude. Lol.Yeah... I put that rating of 4.5 on the latest BTBAM album very hastily because I've always been a big fan of theirs, and I hadn't heard the album a ton. I might drop it to a 4, but I do still enjoy its sense of direction, although some heavy parts bore me.

| Yuli Doing pretty well, doing pretty well. How do you like the latest Born of Osiris album, just out of curiosity?
